Doug Hagmann: DHS insider gives final warning

Under the cover and amid the distraction of the Christmas bustle, I had my last “official” contact with a source inside the Department of Homeland Security known as “Rosebud” in my writings. My source is leaving his position, retiring along with numerous others choosing to leave this bureaucratic monstrosity.

For this contact, my source took unprecedented measures to be certain that our contact was far off the radar of prying government eyes and ears. I was stunned at the lengths he employed, and even found myself somewhat annoyed by the inconvenience that his cloak-and-dagger approach caused. It was necessary, according to my source, because all department heads under FEMA and DHS are under orders to identify anyone disclosing any information for termination and potential criminal prosecution.

“DHS is like a prison environment, complete with prison snitches,” he said, referring to the search for leaks and leakers. And the warden is obsessed. Ask anyone in DHS. No one trusts anyone else and whatever sources might be left are shutting up. The threats that have been made far exceed anything I’ve ever seen. Good people are afraid for their lives and the lives of their families. We’ve all been threatened. They see the writing on the wall and are leaving. It’s not a joke and not hype.”

U.S. general calls for massive march on Congress, White House

The retired American military commander who earlier said in a statement released to WND that Americans need to confront Barack Obama’s tyranny now is recommending the Egyptian model through which to do that.

The Egyptian model, Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely explained on a podcast of an Internet radio show, was that 33 million people stood up to their government and told officials no.

They all lied…and this one picture is the proof

stevens being carried

Notice Ambassador Stevens being carried by the barbarians…notice his right arm hanging down limp…now notice his bent left arm up by his face trying to either protect his face, cover his eyes, or even wipe tears from his eyes, but guess what…dead men do NOT wipe tears from their eyes nor do they try to cover their faces…NO…AMBASSADOR STEVENS WAS ALIVE NOT DEAD FROM SMOKE INHALATION and NO crap that he died at the hospital…and NO nonsense that maybe rigor-mortise had set in to bend his arm because that takes hours to happen and the time frame for that just isn’t here. This man was NOT being taken to a hospital after death as claimed but was dragged ALIVE through the streets, raped, sodomized, brutalized, and murdered by these muslim bast*rds, and this is why NO official US autopsy reports have been released. This fact had and still has to be hidden at all costs for Stevens being alive at this point could very well blow Barack HUSSEIN Obama’s cover-ups of why that night in Benghai happened.

Bottom line…our miserable muslim sympathizing president and his equally miserable former Secretary of State both NOT only LIED to us all about the reason for Benghazi, but also covered-up the cause of Ambassador Stevens’ death and everything relating to Benghazi. And that, I believe, is grounds for immediate arrest for treason.

ANC – Lessons Learned

TQ

by Sam Culper

As long as we’re on the topic of lessons learned, I came across this article about an abridged history of African National Congress underground operations against the South African government. Because there have been numerous communist-led revolutions in the past 100 years, we’ve inadvertently been provided a very deep cache of lessons learned.

I’m going to jot down a few of them, and I highly encourage everyone else to formulate their own lessons learned based on their own operational environments. Those of us who harp on being good students of history do so because, as they say, the learning curve is vertical. To quote Otto van Bismarck: “The fool learns from his own mistakes while the wise learn from others’ mistakes;” to amend: even if we abhor everything those teachers of history accomplished.

“The great questions of the time will not be resolved by speeches and majority decisions—that was the great mistake of 1848 and 1849—but by iron and blood.” OvB

So at any rate, here are my thoughts on this article:

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei: If Jesus Were Here He Would Fight America

ayatollah

Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei marked Christmas Day with social media messages tying Jesus into political rhetoric directed at the United States.

“If Christ were among us today, he would not spare even a single moment to fight the leaders of despotism and global arrogance,” he said on Facebook, using the Islamic Republic’s favored term for America.

“Nor would he tolerate hunger and wandering of millions of people, degenerated by the hegemonic and colonialist powers into war, corruption, and violence,” he added.

On Twitter, Khamenei tweeted another message containing a veiled dig at the U.S.: “Jesus Christ was a minister of a heavenly justice to call all oppressed on earth for emancipation from the thralldom of bullying despots.”

The Selling Panic Begins: A Summary Of Retailers’ “After-Christmas” Deals

As the holiday spending season draws to a close, there has been a huge schism between hope and reality once again as captured by these two numbers: 3.9% and -3.5%. The first, aka hope, is how much the national retail federation predicted holiday sales would rise by at the start of the holiday season; the second, aka reality, is how much in-store retail sales declined by in the week before Christmas. So what is a despondent retail industry – which unlike the stock market can’t put off delivering results forever – to do? Why bet it all on a huge after-Christmas surge of course.

As USA Today reports, some online sales, including at Target.com and Kohls.com, start on Christmas Day. And for sales die-hards, many Wal-Mart and Kohl’s stores will open on Thursday by 5 a.m. “This is an especially big time for people who got gift cards to come and spend on what they didn’t get for Christmas,” says Sarah McKinney, a Wal-Mart spokeswoman. It is also the single-most popular day to redeem Target gift cards. Then again, one wonders just how hacked those are…

A quick summary of the panicked retailers’ biggest sales incentives and deals to offload all leftover inventory heading into 2014 is presented below (via USAToday)

Practically speaking, nullification is a a fool’s errand.

This is a  comment on the September 11, 2012 article: Skip Stam on Nullification.

by Dave Burton

When the federal government enacts blatantly unconstitutional laws, i.e., laws which contradict any U.S. Constitutional provision, such as the 1st, 2nd, or 10th Amendment, Congress and the President are, in effect, practicing “nullification” of the U.S. Constitution. So if a State enacts a law which effectively restates a provision of the U.S. Constitution, contradicting (“nullifying”) the unconstitutional federal statute, it seems clear that the State has the high moral ground.

That’s all the State has, though. Most informed observers agree that such strategies are doomed in the courts. Every judge and every lawyer in America has had the supposed supremacy of the Supremacy Clause pounded into their heads, their whole professional lives. None of them will rule in favor of a State statute which conflicts with a federal statute, not even in a State court.

Never mind that the 2nd Amendment, the 10th Amendment, and all other Constitutional amendments are supposed to take precedence over the Supremacy Clause! State courts and lower federal courts all bow and scrape to the federal courts, so if the federal courts have ruled that a federal statute is constitutional, then State nullification can’t possibly work.

Practically speaking, nullification is a a fool’s errand. As long as Obama has a bigger army than McCrory, and as long as law schools indoctrinate young lawyers (who become young judges) with the supposed supremacy of the Supremacy Clause over the rest of the Constitution, nullification has little hope of success.

The picture is even bleaker, if that’s possible, when States pursue a nullification strategy to oppose federal laws that are not very clearly unconstitutional. Ron Paul and his acolytes pretend that every law they dislike is unconstitutional. They’re idiots. Foolish public policy is not necessarily unconstitutional. Real conservatives know better than to pursue such foolishness.

By far the better strategy for restoring constitutional government is to elect strict-constructionist Republican Presidents, and support your local Federalist Society. A few more strict-constructionist Justices like Clarence Thomas on the SCOTUS would transform the legal landscape, far more than State nullification could ever hope to!

(BTW, please don’t call strict-constructionists “constitutionalist.” That just conveys legal illiteracy, and Ron Paul nuttiness.)

At best, nullification strategies can obligate State AGs to support legal challenges in the federal courts to unconstitutional federal statutes. If you insist on pursuing State nullification, then that’s how you should do it. Here are a few strategic principles to keep in mind:
