Boehner Slaps Conservatives: ‘This is Ridiculous’

House Speaker John Boehner on Wednesday took a swipe at conservative groups that “came out and opposed” a bipartisan budget deal “before they ever saw it.”

“They’re using our members, and they’re using the American people for their own goals. This is ridiculous,” he said at a Republican news conference.

“Listen, if you’re for more deficit reduction, you’re for this agreement,” he snapped.

This Is How They Settle Things In Georgia’s Parliament

As tensions escalate in Ukraine, risk indicators flash redder than red, and the US is now considering “sanctions” against the divided nation, parliamentarians in Georgia (ironically Stalin’s birthplace) have a different way to solve their differences… as the following fight suggests…

Is War With China Inevitable?

by Brandon Smith

As a general rule, extreme economic decline is almost always followed by extreme international conflict. Sometimes, these disasters can be attributed to the human survival imperative and the desire to accumulate resources during crisis. But most often, war amid fiscal distress is usually a means for the political and financial elite to distract the masses away from their empty wallets and empty stomachs.

War galvanizes societies, usually under false pretenses. I’m not talking about superficial “police actions” or absurd crusades to “spread democracy” to Third World enclaves that don’t want it. No, I’m talking about REAL war: war that threatens the fabric of a culture, war that tumbles violently across people’s doorsteps. The reality of near-total annihilation is what oligarchs use to avoid blame for economic distress while molding nations and populations.

Because of the very predictable correlation between financial catastrophe and military conflagration, it makes quite a bit of sense for Americans today to be concerned. Never before in history has our country been so close to full-spectrum economic collapse, the kind that kills currencies and simultaneously plunges hundreds of millions of people into poverty. It is a collapse that has progressed thanks to the deliberate efforts of international financiers and central banks. It only follows that the mind-boggling scale of the situation would “require” a grand distraction to match.

The Mt. Vernon Assembly is well described as “legislators” setting up a kite to keep the hen yard in order

The prelude to a Constitutional Convention was held on December 8, 2013. The following excerpt trumpeting its success and their hope for an Article V convention is written by Michael Farris who did not attend: only state legislators were allowed to attend. The information we received is second hand. The rationale for the author’s support is:

But what’s the alternative?  These fear-based arguments leave us in the utterly precarious position of trusting Washington, D.C., to right itself.

No one should trust Washington, D.C., more than they trust state legislators.  But, at the end of the day, the audience that matters most is state legislators.  State legislators certainly trust themselves more than they trust Congress and the rest of the crowd in D.C.

Pathetic. We all know where this is heading. We have had enough distractions, propaganda and political malfeasance. But let’s figure on a best case scenario and some major changes are enacted by the same ruling class that caused the problems initially. We still have put our faith in the federal system of government instead of the original intent of the Constitution with a limited scope of power. We still have a ruling class in Washington, D.C. and we still have a country that is bankrupt 10 times over (at a minimum).

Nullification is the better course of action based on our time, founding principles and original intent. Asserting states’ rights under the 10th amendment is the correct legal argument and our political leaders know and fear this solution. Or course, Thomas Jefferson’s words concerning the original Constitution gives us proper context for our path:

How Far Will Stocks Fall This Time When The Fed Decides To Slow Down Quantitative Easing?

Bear Market - Photo by Appalachian Encounters

by Michael Snyder

When QE1 ended there was a substantial stock market correction, and when QE2 ended there was a substantial stock market correction.  And if you will remember, the financial markets threw a massive hissy fit a few months ago when Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke suggested that the Fed may soon start tapering QE3.  Clearly Wall Street does not like it when their supply of monetary heroin is interrupted.  The Federal Reserve has tricked the American people into supporting quantitative easing by insisting that it is about “stimulating the economy”, but that has turned out to be a massive hoax.  In fact, I just wrote an article that contained 37 statistics that prove that things just keep getting even worse for ordinary Americans.  But quantitative easing has been exceptionally good for Wall Street.  During QE1, the S&P 500 rose by about 300 points.  During QE2, the S&P 500 rose by about 200 points.  And during QE3, the S&P 500 has risen by about 400 points.  The S&P 500 is now in unprecedented territory, and stock prices have become completely and totally divorced from reality.  In essence, we are in the midst of the largest financial bubble this nation has ever seen.  So what is going to happen when the Fed starts pulling back the monetary crack and the bubble bursts?

A lot of people out there are claiming that the Federal Reserve will never end this round of quantitative easing.  They are suggesting that the Fed may hint at tapering from time to time, but that when push comes to shove they will just keep printing more money.

There is just one big problem with that theory.

MAY THE ODDS EVER BE IN YOUR FAVOR – THE REAPING

We are five years into the Crisis that will not resolve itself until sometime in the 2020’s. No one can predict the specific events that will fundamentally change history over the next decade, but the catalysts of debt, civic decay and global disorder were evident sixteen years ago when Strauss and Howe wrote their prophetic generational history. The volcanic eruption occurred in 2008 when the worldwide financial system blew and the molten lava continues to spew forth and flow along the Federal Reserve created channels, protecting the corrupt establishment while incinerating senior citizens, the working middle class and Millennials. Deep within the volcano the pressure is building again as the mood of the country darkens. It will blow again and the economic, social, political and military distress will catalyze into a catastrophic emergency that will tear the fabric of the country asunder. The existing social order will be swept away and replaced by a new paradigm which could be better or far worse.

“Imagine some national (and probably global) volcanic eruption, initially flowing along channels of distress that were created during the Unraveling era and further widened by the catalyst. Trying to foresee where the eruption will go once it bursts free of the channels is like trying to predict the exact fault line of an earthquake. All you know in advance is something about the molten ingredients of the climax, which could include the following:

299 Days: The Change of Seasons (Volume 7)

The Change of Seasons is the seventh book in the 299 Days series, where summer has ended and reality has set in at Pierce Point. For many people, this means scrambling to survive the long winter with even less food. Some were smart enough to spend the summer preparing for the changing season and the expanding effects of the Collapse; others were not so smart, and their desperation and fear grows stronger by the day. Grant Matson reflects with pride on how he has provided for his family while guiding Pierce Point into a community that functions well on its own. Celebrating this accomplishment, Grant and others join to offer the community a Thanksgiving dinner, which is met with gratitude and exhilaration. This mood is short-lived, however, as circumstance quickly begin to unravel, beginning with the disappearance of a beloved community member, followed shortly by a self-defensive killing by another. The situation is just as bleak, or worse, in other parts of Washington State and the country, as innocent people are imprisoned and murdered, women and children become commodities, and what is left of the government looks even less like the once-beloved United States of America. As the threat of a civil war becomes imminent, Grant, the Team, and the 17th Irregulars at Marion Farm bond over their duty to protect the country and are soon a fully-formed combat-ready unity, excited to go into combat but uncertain of what will happen to them. Grant dreads what he knows is coming, but he understands that he has been called to sacrifice – potentially his life and probably his marriage – to stop the Loyalists from hurting more people.

Thom Tillis: Senate Campaign Imploding

Nothing represents Republican old guard politics like Thom Tillis. Last month, Thom had Karl Rove come to North Carolina to raise funds for his Senate campaign. Now Thom is having Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham help him at a Washington, D.C. fundraiser. I respect Mr. Tillis’ political acumen and his successes against Governor Bev. But he is clearly out of touch with the people and their outright disdain for politics as usual. Smoke filled rooms where greed and power outweigh our children’s Liberty must stop. Rove, McConnell and Graham represent the evil that permeates the leadership of the Republican Party. I wonder when McCain will slither out and support Thom’s campaign. Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are.

I thought Thom was smarter than this. At least he kept Skippy Stam under control for a short period of time. I believe the good people of North Carolina are smart enough to vote for Dr. Greg Brannon instead of voting for a well-financed campaign that will support the Republican elite in Washington.
