GRNC Alert 12-01-13: Monday Mtg – Another County Considering Gun Control

ANOTHER COUNTY MULLS GUN CONTROL ON TAXPAYER-OWNED PROPERTY

Here we go again. Another day, another attempt at gun control by county officials. This time, a gun ban is being proposed by Person County Commissioners. The Courier-Times is reporting that the Commissioners are considering a gun control ordinance to affect the county’s taxpayer-owned property.

Once again, the pretense for controlling the law-abiding gun owner revolves around “incidents” of people carrying openly on county property. Of course, the news item reporting these so-called incidents makes no mention of any notable “incident” at all. Labeling non-events as “incidents,” and then using this to push a gun control agenda onto a populace that is busy with Christmas shopping and holiday parties is a clever tactic. Clever it may be, but it is also quite distressing.

Unfortunately, Person County already enforces a concealed carry prohibition against its law-abiding citizens. This means there is only one option left for citizens to legally bear arms should they find the need to step onto county property as they go about their regular business. An added restriction, one on open-carry, would establish a de facto 100% gun ban, and that would surely call into question the Commissioners’ commitment to the rights of the citizens they serve.

‘I WILL NOT SHUT UP’: NETANYAHU DEFIANT AFTER PREDECESSOR CALLS HIS CRITICISM OF IRAN NUKE DEAL ‘DECLARATION OF WAR’ ON U.S.

I Will Not Shut Up: Netanyahu Defiant After Predecessor Ehud Olmert Calls His Criticism of Iran Nuke Deal Declaration of War on U.S.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert says his successor Benjamin Netanyahu’s criticism of the U.S. after the Iran nuclear deal amounts to a declaration of war, according to the Jerusalem Post.

“We have declared war on the US. That cannot be disputed,” Olmert said Sunday, noted the Post, adding that Israel needs to stay away from what might appear to be a “fight” with its closest ally.

Speaking before a security conference, Olmert said Netanyahu’s public barbs over the American-led nuclear deal were provocative and counterproductive. He said he too would differ with the American president, but always made sure to do so in private.

Netanyahu isn’t backing down, though.

“In contrast to others, when I see that the vital security interests of Israeli citizens are at stake, I will not shut up,” he said following critical remarks made by Olmert, the Post noted.

MUSLIM LIES. Learn how to recognize ‘TAQIYYA’ (Islamic art of deception)

Your “moderate’ Muslim friends are very skilled at obfuscating legitimate accusations about their so-called religion. In fact, there is a guidebook that teaches them how to counter any negative truths an infidel may wage against their system of beliefs.

Study this so you will recognize when you are being made the fool and don’t let them get away with it. When Muslims are told about scores of horrendous facts contained in the Quran, Sunnah and the Shari’a, they will typically respond as follows:

Does Any Moral Person Care?

I don’t care about whether Lauren Beth’s gay marriage broke up. I don’t care if she gets a divorce.

So why post this ridiculous story about a lesbian marriage gone bad? To illustrate a point about our media. All media. Including “conservative” news media outlets.

Don’t get distracted. We don’t have the time or the luxury.

Lesbian Granted Same-Sex Marriage in Calif. Wants to Force Miss. to Grant Her Divorce

Lauren Beth Czekala-Chatham wants to force Mississippi, one of the America’s most conservative states, to recognize her same-sex marriage. She hopes to do so by getting a divorce.

She and Dana Ann Melancon traveled from Mississippi to San Francisco to get married in 2008. The wedding was all Czekala-Chatham hoped it would be, the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, dreams for a promising future. She wrote the vows herself.

The couple bought a house together in Walls, a town of about 1,100 in northern Mississippi’s DeSoto County in June 2009. But the marriage was tumultuous and, like so many others, it didn’t last.

Czekala-Chatham, a 51-year-old credit analyst and mother of two teenage sons from an earlier straight marriage, filed for divorce in chancery court in September. She wants to force Mississippi to recognize the same-sex marriage for the purpose of granting the divorce.

“It’s humiliating to know that you spend that money, that time to be in a committed relationship and for it to end. I mean, that hurts. But then to be in a state that doesn’t recognize you as a human being, or recognize you for who you are, for who you love, it’s hard,” Czekala-Chatham said during an interview at her current home in Hernando. “I’m not treated like the neighbors next door. I’m treated like a second-class citizen.”

Whom Do You Trust?

Whom do you trust? The first thing to quantify is the definition of trust. Or more succinctly: the levels of trust.

A low level of trust requires a period of time to build. This is a beginning of another individual’s assessment of your character. It is also the first step to building a relationship based on trust which may impact your freedom or even your life. A high level of trust is required of EVERY member of your tribe. This level of trust is equivalent to a group of combat soldiers who understand that their lives depend on the actions of their brothers and sisters.

The article below states that two-thirds of Americans cannot be trusted. This is no surprise to anyone with a moral character. Add the percentage of people who voted for Obama, all government workers and people collecting a government entitlement. Remove the intersecting population and we have at least two-thirds of the country.

Do I trust one third of the people in this country? We have to go back to the initial premise. I might trust one-third of the people to give me correct directions to a location. However, we no longer live in the United States of America that our previous generation knew. We live in a nation where the government is the enemy. Our rights and Liberty have been suspended. We live in a world where our conversations are illegally tapped and the rule of law has been replaced by the rule of man. What the future holds is now in the hands of the Lord. Whom do I trust? With my life? With the life of my family? Less than twenty people. And that is the reality of our country that people must face.

David DeGerolamo

Two-Thirds Of Americans Can’t Be Trusted

Only one-third of Americans say their fellow countrymen can be trusted according to a recent AP-GfK poll, down from over half 40 years ago. Americans are suspicious of each other in everyday encounters and who can blame them with the government appearing to bless any and all surveillance and intervention in the interests of the status quo. “I’m leery of everybody,” warns one respondent, and as AP reports, this is a potential problem for economic growth as “social trust” brings good thingsA society where it’s easier to compromise or make a deal; where people are willing to work with those who are different from them for the common good, appears to promote economic growth. Distrust, on the other hand, seems to encourage corruption and there’s no easy fix.

Via AP,

You can take our word for it. Americans don’t trust each other anymore.

We’re not talking about the loss of faith in big institutions such as the government, the church or Wall Street, which fluctuates with events. For four decades, a gut-level ingredient of democracy – trust in the other fellow – has been quietly draining away.

78% Fear ObamaCare Site Security, Could Deter Signups

In what could be the biggest handicap to getting people to sign up for ObamaCare, the public is over whelmingly concerned about the security of the information compiled by the health care exchange.

The latest IBD/TIPP Poll finds that 78% say Americans should be worried about the security of the ObamaCare exchange website, and 53% say they should be “very concerned.” This view was shared across parties, with 69% of Democrats saying security concerns are warranted.

More worrisome for the law’s success, 82% of those aged 18-24 say concern is justified. These are among the people ObamaCare most desperately needs to enroll to keep overall premiums from spiraling out of control.

To Safeguard Humanity from Global Threats – Have You Seen “Catching Fire”?

Skoll Global Threats Fund – Part of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

What we mean by global threats

Global threats have the potential to kill or debilitate very large numbers of people or cause significant economic or social dislocation or paralysis throughout the world. Global threats cannot be solved by any one country; they require some sort of a collective response. Global threats are often non-linear, and are likely to become exponentially more difficult to manage if we don’t begin making serious strides in the right direction in the next 5-10 years.

Cross-cutting focus

We believe global threats share causes, challenges and, potentially, cures. We primarily seek to identify and address complex challenges common to multiple global threats. Crosscutting areas that we believe could help society manage these threats include:

  • Communication:  Promote better understanding of uncertainty and risk at every level of discourse, public to political.
  • Governance:  Develop more competent governance, including both formal functioning structures as well as formal and informal networks.
  • Engagement:  Create new coalitions and facilitate better coordination of actors of all kinds across multiple sectors, with a special focus on “strange bedfellows.”
  • Information:  Enable access to and promote transparency in data, processes, and financial flows around global threats to facilitate informed decision making.
  • Innovation:  Promote innovations in models, technology, or approaches (including incentivizing for long-term thinking).

NEW WORLD ORDER: Hacker Releases Names/Emails of 1000+ CFR Members…See Them Here

john_rarick_council_on_foreign_relations

A hacker by the name of Guccifer has been exposing members of those referenced as the “ruling class.” He’s even pulled off linking Colin Powell and Tony Blair to the Bohemian Grove. In his latest hack he has released the emails of over 1000 Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) members.

According to NBC News:

The government transparency website Cryptome.org has published 1,350 names and email addresses of corporate titans, media figures and policy executives who are on the Council on Foreign Relations.  The list includes hundreds of intelligence, defense, government and corporate heavyweights who are members of the New York-based group.

All are contained in a 76-page contact list of CFR members interested in intelligence issues.  The Council on Foreign Relations responded to reports of the hacking by noting that the hack itself was not of the organization’s computer network but of an individual email account that contained the list.

The list, which you can download here, exposes many people, including their email addresses, from around the world who are directly involved in the CFR, specifically those interested in intelligence issues. However, it’s not always individuals, but also organizations that are working to mold the government in their image.

Black Friday: A Shameful Orgy Of Materialism For A Morally Bankrupt Nation

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiFJ2b-ZkuI

It has been called “America’s most disturbing holiday”.  Black Friday is the day when millions of average Americans wait outside retail stores in the middle of the night in the freezing cold to spend more money that they do not have for more cheap Chinese-made products that they do not need.  It is a day when the rest of the world makes fun of Americans for behaving like “rabid animals” and “zombies” as we indulge in a tsunami of greed.  It truly is a shameful orgy of materialism for a morally bankrupt nation.  It is being projected that approximately 140 million Americans will participate in this disgusting national ritual this year.  Sadly, most of them have absolutely no idea that they are actively participating in the destruction of the economic infrastructure of the United States.  If you don’t understand why this is true, please be sure to read this entire article all the way to the end.

The amount of merchandise that is purchased on Black Friday is absolutely staggering.  For example, just consider how much stuff is sold at Wal-Mart alone

D-Day for HealthCare.gov fixes

By most accounts, HealthCare.gov has substantially improved since its failed debut on Oct. 1. And yet, as of this week, the site’s performance remained frustratingly variable for some users.

Perhaps in light of those problems, the White House has repeatedly sought to lower expectations for Nov. 30.

The system experienced its latest unscheduled outage on Monday, and some visitors reported periods of latency and unresponsiveness throughout the day.

The agency responsible for the site acknowledged these issues and predicted that some, including intermittent outages, will continue into next month.

“The system will not work perfectly on Dec. 1, but it will work much better than it did in October,” Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services spokeswoman Julie Bataille told reporters this week.

Monday’s outage highlights the site’s fundamental unpredictability at this stage and the flaws that have not yet been discovered, which could give the administration trouble for months to come.

Graham

Contrary to what some people may think, I am really not that political – or at least I am not aligned with any particular political party. Hopefully I see things as they are — without loyalty to any particular political affiliation. Mr. Obama and his cohorts occupy much of the news cycle with their self-imposed problems. Therefore, it is difficult to ignore him and his problems. But there are certainly those in the pachyderm party worthy of notice.

Lindsey Graham is a Senator from South Carolina. Like many of his colleagues Graham is a lawyer. And like most lawyers in politics he gave up an undistinguished law resume’ in favor of a career in government. Politics has proven to be a great feeding trough for those who are not particularly good at their primary profession.

Mr. Graham likes to pretend that he is relevant and informed on all matters, large and small, that effect America. The reality is that Mr. Graham is merely your average run of the mill politician — whose main concern centers on what is best for Graham. There are nine military facilities in South Carolina, keeping them open is always on Graham’s mind as he trolls for votes. Without threats of war, there is no need for a large military. It is not difficult to like war when the military industrial complex is your bedfellow!

The reported logic of the proposed new immigration bill is to provide a pathway to citizenship (amnesty) and to tighten border security. However, Graham has led the effort to add 20,000 additional visa slots for meat cutters and trimmers. Like those who settled in Minnesota, the bulk of these new meat cutter visas would be for Muslim immigrants. Graham seems to have sympathy for Muslims and has advocated a thinly-veiled tolerance for Sharia Law. Therefore, his proposal might have deeper consequence than merely further diverting 20,000 jobs from out-of-work American citizens who could be trained in the meat cutter vocation.

In a Face the Nation interview, Senator Graham made the following statement concerning burning the Qur’an, “I wish we could find a way to hold people accountable. Free speech is a great idea, but we’re in a war.” Yes Senator Graham, free speech is a great idea —so great that it is a guarantee of the 1st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and the cornerstone of our republic. Then Graham went on to say, “And I look forward to working with Senators Kerry, and Reid, and others to condemn this, condemn violence all over the world based on the name of religion.” And all this time I thought that the Muslims were the ones perpetrating violence based on their perverse desire to practice Sharia law and convert the world to Islam.

Graham suggests that “During World War II, we had limits on what you could say if it would inspire the enemy.” Yes Senator Graham we did —on utterances which would give aid and comfort to the enemy —not on burning a Nazi flag or questioning the divinity of the Japanese Emperor. Somehow Graham has gotten his history confused! Americans who don’t like Islam are not the problem —Islamist who don’t like Americans and kill them at every opportunity are the problem – you jackass!

If McCain had become president, Graham would have become Attorney General of the United States. Then what Holder has done with regard to ignoring race specific criminal activity, Graham would have done with regard to shredding the 1st Amendment rights of Americans.

Perhaps Senator Graham needs to purchase a Muslim prayer rug (they have them on e-Bay starting at $14.99) and join in the celebration of beating women, killing infidels, and condemning America. Well I guess he is already one for three in those areas!
