Bitcoin = Drug trade? Angry US govt seeks to curb alternative currency

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1fe4L2OiRU#t=1s

Bitcoin has increased from $400 on Friday to $600 today (fiatleak.com). A 50% increase in three days over a weekend? Ask a banker or financier what this really means. I suspect that Congress has discovered another diversion for the American public as they try to contend with this new currency threat.

David DeGerolamo

From YouTube:

The renegade crypto-currency that’s used to avoid the watchful eye of financial authorities, has made history yet again. Bitcoin’s value surged past 500 dollars this weekend after months of steady growth. But as the currency is scoring more and more points it keeps raising eyebrows in Washington, as Gayane Chichakyan reports.

The Coming Bust of The Great Bakken Field

Bakken 63000 Oil Decline Chart

As with all oil fields, there are only so many sweet spots and areas to drill.  The 63,000 bd decline rate at the Bakken only has one way to go — and that’s higher.   If the present trend continues (highly likely) then we are going to see a daily decline rate of 75-85,000 barrels a day by the end of 2014.

Thus, the shale oil players are going to have to make those drilling hamsters work even harder as they will need to increase more wells each month just to grow production.  At some point in time (sooner rather than later), the daily decline rate will reach a figure that these companies will be unable to offset.

There are only so many drilling locations available and once they run out, the Great Bakken Field will become a BUST as the high decline rates will push overall oil production down the very same way it came up.

Those who moved to the frigid state of North Dakota with Dollar signs in their eyes and images of sugar-plums dancing in their heads will realize firsthand the negative ramifications of all BOOM & BUST cycles.  At this time, the word “Cold” will have more than one meaning.

Once the Bakken and Eagle Ford oil fields peak and decline, the United States has no other “ENERGY RABBIT” in its hat.  This is precisely why investors need to understand energy and why it’s important to own physical assets such as gold and silver.

Why Should the Constitution Be Followed at This Point?

Another court case concerning Obamacare. The origination of the “Affordable Care Act” was in the Senate. John Roberts led the majority of the Supreme Court ruling this clearly illegal act was Constitutional as a tax. All revenue measures must originate in the House of Representatives. The law is clear. So is the fact that the rule of law is no longer valid in what was once the great experiment of The People.

David DeGerolamo

WILL THIS COURT CASE SHATTER OBAMACARE?

The Obama administration may be alarmed over the dismal number of people signing up for Obamacare, the rising health-care costs for Americans, the legal challenges to the religious discrimination embedded in the law and other problems.
But all of that would be of no consequence if a lawsuit in federal court in Washington succeeds. It alleges senators overstepped their authority in creating the Affordable Care Act and the law, therefore, is null and void.

The case argues that since the U.S. Constitution requires that revenue-raising measures originate in the U.S. House and Obamacare was created in the Senate, the law is unconstitutional. The case is headed toward the Supreme Court.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., who has been leading the Obamacare charge since its inception, took a House-passed bill, deleted its contents and then substituted the Senate’s 2,000-page bill.

Now dozens of members of the U.S. House of Representatives are signing onto the battle, claiming the Senate didn’t have the authority to pass the bill.

They argue taxes only can originate with the House, the representatives closest to the American people.

That requirement is so important, according to the members of Congress, that the Constitution never would have been adopted without it.

According to a brief dozens of House members have filed in the case, the principle “behind the Origination Clause – sometimes phrased as ‘No Taxation Without Representation’ – was the moral justification for our War of Independence.”

Israel has the ability to strike Iran, and is willing to do so alone

Former NSC head Ya'acov Amidror

Former NSC head Ya’acov Amidror

Amid Netanyahu’s warnings that Jerusalem will not be bound by a bad agreement with Iran, former national security adviser tells ‘Financial Times’ that Israel could halt Iran’s nuclear capability “for a very long time.”

Amid Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s repeated warnings that Israel will not be bound by a “bad” agreement with Iran, former national security adviser Yaakov Amidror said Sunday that Israel has the ability to strike Iran, and is willing to do so alone.

Amidror, in a Financial Times interview obviously timed and placed to send a message to the world, said Israel could halt Iran’s nuclear capability “for a very long time,” and that the air force has conducted “very long-range flights… all around the world” in preparation.

Bill Gertz: U.S. to Train Libyan Military, Including Islamists

Ansar al Shariah supporters protest the United States' capture of Abu Anas al-Libi / AP

The U.S. military is preparing to conduct military and special operations training for Libya’s military and the training will risk including Islamist terrorists among the trainees, according to the commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command.

Adm. William McRaven, the commander who helped lead the covert raid to kill al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, said in a brief interview Saturday that the counterterrorism training operation has not begun. “We’re in the early stages,” he told the Free Beacon.

McRaven said a major gun battle erupted in Tripoli last week among opposing militias, a sign of instability in the North African country. The training is needed to stabilize Libya, an oil-rich country beset by mounting terrorism and Islamist militias.

During a panel discussion on the war on terrorism at the Reagan National Defense Forum, McRaven disclosed that the Libyan military training would include both conventional forces training and special operations training and that there will be risks.

Obamacare: The Final Nail In The Coffin For The Middle Class

CoffinIf there were any shreds of hope left that the stunning decline of the middle class could be turned around, Obamacare has absolutely destroyed them.  Over the past decade or so, the middle class in the United States has been absolutely eviscerated.  The number of working age Americans without a job has increased by 27 million since the year 2000, median household income in the U.S. has fallen for five years in a row, and the poverty numbers in this country are spiraling out of control.  And now here comes Obamacare.  As you will see below, Obamacare is causing millions of Americans to lose their current health insurance policies, it is causing health insurance premiums to explode to absolutely ridiculous levels, and it is systematically killing jobs even though the employer mandate has been delayed for a while.  All of this is creating a tremendous amount of stress for millions of middle class families that are already stretched extremely thin financially.  According to CNN, a survey that was conducted earlier this year found that 76 percent of all Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.  Most of those families simply cannot afford to pay much higher health insurance premiums for new policies that also come with much larger deductibles and significantly increased out-of-pocket costs.  Millions of those families will ultimately end up choosing to do without health insurance altogether, and that will create a whole host of new problems.  This is a disaster that is so enormous that it is really hard to put into words.  If the U.S. health care system was a separate country, it would be the 6th largest economy on the entire globe all by itself.  And now Obamacare is going to bring the entire U.S. health care system to its knees.

Drone malfunctions, hits Navy ship during training

AP_Drone_Hunting

The Navy says an aerial target drone malfunctioned and struck a guided missile cruiser during training off Southern California, causing two minor injuries.

Lt. Lenaya Rotklein of the U.S. Third Fleet said the accident on the USS Chancellorsville happened Saturday afternoon while the ship was testing its combat weapons system off Point Mugu.

She said two sailors were treated for minor burns after the ship was struck. She said the ship was heading back to Naval Base San Diego so that officials can assess the damage.

Bitcoin Rises Over $500

If you go to fiatleak.com today, you will see why Bitcoin is rising. The mad dash to transfer dollars and yuan to Bitcoins is exploding.

David DeGerolamo

One day before the Senate’s digital currency hearing titled “Beyond Silk Road: Potential Risks, Threats, and Promises of Virtual Currencies“, Bitcoin is largely oblivious to any potential regulatory threats, either at the legislative or the city level, where as reported previously the New York superintendent is in a rush to enforce BitLicenses on businesses that accept BitCoin, and moments ago crossed $500 for the first time ever. Instead, it appears that as we also reported previously, the Chinese Bitcoin craze has reached the parabolic threshold, going so far as making Bitcoin an acceptable payment for real estate, which means that while for the time being Bitcoin becomes the alternative inflation protection medium for hundreds of millions of Chinese, all bets on how high it can get are off.

Culture or Terrorism?

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_PEBsEyYHQ

Who are the racists? The reporter cannot even count the number of teenage attackers: six not five. Since people are literally dying, these videos can be used to justify shooting these people in self-defense. What would Eric Holder do if the teacher had pulled out a pistol and shot his attackers?
