The Progression of Man

Victims of genocide

PERHAPS the most short-sighted aspect of our modern culture is the notion that we are on a linear path of advancement. That we are leaving behind, in the wake of human achievement, the barbarism and narrow-minded thinking of past generations and cultures. That we are loosening the shackles of prejudice and intolerance and marching toward a more democratic, free, and civilized world.

This assumption is not only false, but dangerous.

In truth, as we approach 2014, we see our world economies teetering on the brink of collapse due to the self-indulgent policies of the Western world; genocides, ethnic cleansings, and sectarian violence are on the rise in the Eastern world; hundreds of millions are starving worldwide despite enough food to feed the planet; freedoms of average citizens are evaporating globally in the name of “fighting terrorism”; abortion, assisted-suicide, and euthanasia are continuing to be promoted as “solutions” to inconvenience, suffering, and perceived “over-population”; human trafficking in sex, slavery, and organs is on the rise; pornography, in particular, child pornography, is exploding all over the world; media and entertainment are increasingly transfixed with the most base and dysfunctional aspects of human relations; technology, far from bringing about the liberation of man, has arguably produced a new form of slavery whereby it demands more time, money, and resources to “keep up” with the times; and tensions between nations armed with weapons of mass destruction, far from abating, are bringing humanity closer to a Third World War.

Indeed, just when some presumed that the world was moving toward a less prejudiced, caring, equal society, securing human rights for all, it is taking a turn in the other direction:

The NSA memo suggests that such surveillance was not isolated as the agency routinely monitors world leaders. Photograph: Guardian

It appears that we are just now beginning to understand why the government was so adamant in it condemnation of Edward Snowden. The motto for the United States used to be “In God We Trust”. Our progressive leaders have replaced this trust into the hands of the government for EBT cards or a government workfare job.

The rest of the world is now seeing what this means as our federal government’s arrogance is shown to be unlimited.

How do you repair this damage of the public’s and the world’s trust? This will not end well.

NSA monitored calls of 35 world leaders after US official handed over contacts

The National Security Agency monitored the phone conversations of 35 world leaders after being given the numbers by an official in another US government department, according to a classified document provided by whistleblower Edward Snowden.

The confidential memo reveals that the NSA encourages senior officials in its “customer” departments, such the White House, State and the Pentagon, to share their “Rolodexes” so the agency can add the phone numbers of leading foreign politicians to their surveillance systems.

The document notes that one unnamed US official handed over 200 numbers, including those of the 35 world leaders, none of whom is named. These were immediately “tasked” for monitoring by the NSA.

The revelation is set to add to mounting diplomatic tensions between the US and its allies, after the German chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday accused the US of tapping her mobile phone.

Your Life Depends on Literally Taking Your Money Out of the Bank

And this will be looked at as the good ole' days.

Your life depends on whether you begin to take your assets out the banks and begin to purchase life sustaining supplies. You need to start this process, today, in accordance with the principles I laid out in a previous article.

The Death of the American Economy

There was an obscure story which ran two years ago which is receiving scant attention and yet, it is the banking story of the decade. It is the number one banking story in human history. It is the story which will destroy America’s banking accounts. It is the story that spells the beginning of the end of America’s financial empire. This is the end of the America’s financial empire and NOBODY is talking about it. What is that story?

Bank of America Case In Point

In an obscure, but well reported 2011 event, Bank of America announced it was shifting derivatives in its Merrill investment-banking unit to its depository arm, which has access to the Fed discount window and is protected by the FDIC. This was announced as a news blurb in the main stream media and was prominently reported in the Daily Bail.

This was the single biggest financial event in the history of America. It was bigger than the 1929 stock market crash and it was bigger than the beginning of the bail outs in 2008, but it did not received the banner headlines that it should have received. What does this mean? It means that the Bank of America’s European derivatives are now going to be “insured” by U.S. taxpayers and its two most important financial institutions, the Federal Reserved and the FDIC. What is even more distressing is that the Bank of America did not even seek or receive regulatory approval for this action. This action was simply acted upon on behalf of frightened counterparties. Under the Federal Bankruptcy Act of 2005, the counterparties derivatives debt receive “super priority” when it comes to the disbursement of FDIC insurance payments to failed banks. Where do the rest of us stand in terms of reimbursement for a failed bank? We are in last place. In short, when your bank fails, your money is gone.

Reparations – points to ponder

In times past, I have argued against reparations because I thought they were only a “thinly veiled” method of attempting to extort money by exploiting white guilt. Reparations, if utilized in an overall attempt at fairness would be a good thing.

This reparations thing came to my mind because I stumbled upon a comment by the Reverend Al Sharpton which indicated that he abhorred slavery (well, maybe not the current on-going African slavery – but colonial slavery that was officially abolished 150 years ago), a practice with which most thinking individuals would also detest.

But just as I was about to write a check to Reverend Sharpton (which I am absolutely sure he would share with needful blacks), it dawned on me that I don’t own any slaves. In fact, I am unaware of any slaves being owned by anyone in America for 150 years. These are no doubt trivial points because European-Americans lead the world in addressing injustices —even if we have to invent a feeling of guilt where there isn’t one. Americans are especially adept at throwing money at folks who either: can’t or won’t earn it themselves. It’s like stocking a pond with fish so that people who can’t fish – can. The problem is that those who are given the money always want more —which requires the unearthing of more guilt. It’s kind of like trying to eradicate a toenail fungus —white guilt never really goes away.

Rev. Sharpton contends that bringing slaves to America in chains was a terrible thing —and most thinking whites would agree. But wait, didn’t the ancestors of our current President purchase and transport slaves to America? Barack is a form of the Arabic name Baraka. Hussein is Arabic and was the name of Muhammad’s grandson. That would make President Obama a descendent of the Muslims who transported slaves to America. If 21st century white America is guilty by association for centuries old slavery — shouldn’t the President have to cough up some of his book money for his centuries old association with slavery?

The Growing Rift With Saudi Arabia Threatens To Severely Damage The Petrodollar

Are You Ready For The Death Of The Petrodollar - Photo By Revisorweb

The number one American export is U.S. dollars.  It is paper currency that is backed up by absolutely nothing, but the rest of the world has been using it to trade with one another and so there is tremendous global demand for our dollars.  The linchpin of this system is the petrodollar.  For decades, if you have wanted to buy oil virtually anywhere in the world you have had to do so with U.S. dollars.  But if one of the biggest oil exporters on the planet, such as Saudi Arabia, decided to start accepting other currencies as payment for oil, the petrodollar monopoly would disintegrate very rapidly.  For years, everyone assumed that nothing like that would happen any time soon, but now Saudi officials are warning of a “major shift” in relations with the United States.  In fact, the Saudis are so upset at the Obama administration that “all options” are reportedly “on the table”.  If it gets to the point where the Saudis decide to make a major move away from the petrodollar monopoly, it will be absolutely catastrophic for the U.S. economy.

The biggest reason why having good relations with Saudi Arabia is so important to the United States is because the petrodollar monopoly will not work without them.  For decades, Washington D.C. has gone to extraordinary lengths to keep the Saudis happy.  But now the Saudis are becoming increasingly frustrated that the U.S. military is not being used to fight their wars for them.  The following is from a recent Daily Mail report

John Kerry: Another Obama Epic Fail

DEBKAfile Exclusive: Palestinian Mahmoud Abbas signs cooperation accord with Bashar Assad

They sign a secret deal behind everyone's backs

They sign a secret deal behind everyone’s backs

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas this week signed a secret cooperation agreement with President Bashar Assad, DEBKAfile reveals here for the first time from its exclusive military and intelligence sources. They concluded the deal unbeknownst to US Secretary of State John Kerry, shortly before he sat down in Rome Wednesday, Oct. 23, with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to discuss West Bank security arrangements and administer a push to Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.

Our sources reveal that Abbas, the first Arab leader to break ranks with the united Arab front against Assad, was also the first to deal with the Syria ruler on behalf of a minority fighting against the Damascus regime, .e. the Palestinians.

Abbas signed a pledge that Palestinian fighters would withdraw from Syrian rebel ranks, lay down their arms and undertake to end their challenge to the Syrian president and his army.

The Abbas-Assad deal may bear on American and Russian efforts to convene Geneva 2 for a political solution of the Syrian conflict on Nov. 23.  The Palestinian desertion from the Syrian opposition front alters its internal balance and may change the minds of some of the Syrian opposition groups which planned to boycott the conference.

Our sources confrm that the Palestinian leader made his move behind American backs. Kerry apparently went into his meeting with Netanyahu in Rome ignorant of what was afoot.

In the fourth quarter of 2011, 49.2 percent of Americans received benefits from one or more government programs, according to data released Tuesday by the Census Bureau.

In total, the Census Bureau estimated, 151,014,000 Americans out of a population then estimated to be 306,804,000 received benefits from one or more government programs during the last three months of 2011. Those 151,014,000 beneficiaries equaled 49.2 percent of the population.

This included 82,457,000 people–or 26.9 percent of the population–who lived in households in which one or more people received Medicaid benefits.

Also among the 151,014,000 who received benefits from one or more government programs during that period: 49,901,000 who collected Social Security; 49,073,000 who got food stamps; 46,440,000 on Medicare; 23,228,000 in the Women, Infants and Children program, 20,223,000 getting Supplemental Security Income;13,433,000 who lived in public or subsidized rental housing; 5,098,000 who got unemployment; 3,178,000 who got veterans’ benefits; and 364,000 who got railroad retirement benefits.

OBAMA PURGING MILITARY COMMANDERS

Nine senior commanding generals have been fired by the Obama administration this year, leading to speculation by active and retired members of the military that a purge of its commanders is underway.

Retired generals and current senior commanders that have spoken with TheBlaze say the administration is not only purging the military of commanders they don’t agree with, but is striking fear in the hearts of those still serving.

The timing comes as the five branches of the U.S. armed forces are reducing staff due to budget cuts, and as U.S. troops are expected to withdraw from Afghanistan next year.

“I think they’re using the opportunity of the shrinkage of the military to get rid of people that don’t agree with them or not tow the party line. Remember, as (former White House chief of staff) Rahm Emanuel said, never waste a crisis,” a senior retired general told TheBlaze on the condition of anonymity because he still provide services to the government and fears possible retribution.

America Held Hostage On The Edge Of Constant Crisis

by Brandon Smith

Torture, or what our government calls “enhanced interrogation”, is not a tactic so much as a darkly artistic process.  The subject of this process has something that the torturer wants; it might be information, or a forced confession to a crime the subject did not commit, but most often, torture is designed to gain nothing more than psychological compliance.

The goal is to manipulate the subject into believing that submission is the only possible future, and that such submission is inevitable regardless of the will of the victim.  The torturer often builds himself up as a kind of parent figure for the subject – becoming the only entity that can supply shelter, water, food, and comfort.  The torturer is taskmaster and abuser, but also caregiver in the twisted relationship dynamic.  A schizophrenic balance is struck in which the subject longs for the outside world and a return to the pleasures of the past (making him desperate and malleable), but he also partially accepts his prison walls as home (giving him a false faith that compliance will lead to a safer and more predictable tomorrow).

Until this compliance is achieved, the subject is exposed to endless and erratic crisis events in which his body is damaged, his mind is deprived of sense, perception, and sleep, and his life is overtly threatened.  He may receive brief moments of rest, but these are designed only to make the next torture session even more raw and painful.  If the subject does not understand how the process works, or if he doesn’t have a strong sense of his own identity, then he will quickly lose track of reality.  Every moment becomes a waking nightmare, a warped and gruesome carnival, and life becomes nothing more than an absurd and obscure experiment barely worth living.

Should Catholics Be Preppers?

I have a confession to make.  This is difficult for me, but there is no other way to say it other than to say it.

I am a prepper.

Yup.  I am Catholic and I am a prepper or maybe I should say, I am a prepper because I am Catholic.

In the minds of many, a prepper can be anyone from the guy who lives behind 10-foot-thick concrete walls under a former missile silo to somebody who has a few weeks of rations in his pantry.

I am more toward the latter than the former.  I believe we should be prepared for foreseeable and even predictable events.  As a husband and a father, I think it prudent to make provisions for short-term interruptions (few days to a few months) to the global logistical supply chain that brings me my food, water, power, medicine, clothing, and information.  I also believe it is prudent to make provisions to supplement, when possible, for longer term interruptions to the essentials of food, water, and shelter.

But Patrick, some may say, as a Catholic you should trust in God to provide.  Being a prepper means that you do not trust in God.  Does not scripture say, “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take you thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”
