Last year David cashed-out is retirement 401K and advised others to do the same, and to buy gold and silver.  Ask yourselves today if that was a wise move?   Therefore, for anyone who associates themselves with extremist radical views as David and his followers, who proliferate online extremist rhetoric, are only exposing themselves and followers to not so favorable outcomes.   David and his associates need to reevaluate their positions and self-reflect.  Morals, Virtues, Ethics, and Principles are something that David and his group needs to self-examine for true definitions.  David is using these words as rhetoric to move forward his agenda, although the hypocrisy lies within his actions, and not the manipulation of his words.

The Shutdown Has Closed This Important Market Regulator – And It Could Prove to Be Serious

Congress’ inability to come to an agreement on a short-term spending bill caused the U.S. government to shut down Tuesday, forcing it to close, among other things, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

This could be a serious problem. See, the CFTC regulates the futures and options markets, which include precious metals, energy, currency, and currency indexes.

In other words, they’re sheriffs who keep an eye on some of Wall Street’s biggest money movers. And the futures and options markets are currently operating without federal regulation.

“I can’t spend any [agency] money,” said Bart Chilton, commissioner, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, at the annual Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW) conference in New York City, which TheBlaze attended.

“We had three hours on Tuesday to an actual shutdown at the CFTC. When that three hours was up, we received an email,” he said. “It said, ‘you may be fined for logging onto your CFTC website or using your personal laptop.’”

CFTC employees could be fined “up to $5,000 for logging on. You may not do any work. You may be terminated if you do U.S. government work,’” Chilton continued, citing the email.

India Is Reporting That the Man Who Died by Self-immolation Was African-American

The following report from India has a strange hypothesis: the government shutdown is starting an African-American revolt. I disagree: Obama is trying to instigate civil unrest throughout the entire population. However, this is the first news site that I found stating that the man who set himself on fire at the National Mall was black.

Warning bells: Is US shutdown brewing African-American revolt?

The US government shutdown enters its fifth day, a week after the horrific carnage by a mentally ill African-American man in which he kills a dozen people before he is cut down by police. An emotionally unstable African-American woman crashes a security fence near the White House and leads a hair-trigger alert cops on a high-speed car chase before she is mowed down by cops using overwhelming force.

On Friday, another man, also African-American, pours gasoline on himself in front of the Capitol sets fire to himself in a rare attempt at self-immolation in the United States. It is not clear if the effort, foiled by passers-by, is related to the shutdown, but a visitor from more turbulent parts of the globe may well think the US is going the way of the Third World, given the kind of unrest that is roiling Washington DC.

Four people were killed and dozens injured Friday and Saturday when pro-Muslim Brotherhood supporters clashed with opponents and security forces in Cairo, Alexandria, Assiut and other Egyptian towns. In Cairo, gunfire from armored vehicles and tear gas were used to seal off the emblematic Tahrir Square against crowds rallied by the Brotherhood for the “Great Counter-Coup” to be launched on Oct. 6, the 40th anniversary of the Yom Kippur war on Israel. During the week, unidentified gunmen attacked two military targets and killed five Egyptian soldiers.

The Brotherhood’s first major nationwide push to reverse the July 3 coup, which deposed Brotherhood President Mohamad Morsi, rests on five overt tactics, revealed here exclusively by DEBKAfile’s Middle East intelligence sources:

1. Millions of Egyptians across Egypt have received orders through secret channels of communications, including mosques and religious seminaries, to surprise the authorities with a sudden mass surge onto the streets on the appointed day, Sunday.

2. The focus for now is on outlying rural towns and villages – some with populations of a million or more – where army uniforms are thin on the ground. Unaided by the military, Egypt’s internal security troops are barely up to scratch and, in small places, local police forces are mostly under the thumbs of Muslim Brotherhood bosses.

NSA Snowden Leaks: NSA Tor Attacks – One Gov. Hand Hacking The Other

The National Security Agency has been trying to hack into Tor networks, according to a new report by The Guardian’s NSA watcher Glenn Greenwald. Ironically, the NSA’s attempts to hack the online anonymity tool are an example of one U.S. government agency trying to defuse something promoted by another U.S. Federal agency.

The most recent NSA revelations come from top-secret NSA documents leaked by Edward Snowden, and they show that NSA has repeatedly attempted to find vulnerabilities in the Tor online network.

Some of those attempts involve targeting the Firefox web browser when it’s using Tor, a hacking technique also suspected to be used by the FBI to take over a Tor network over the summer. The documents suggest that the NSA has had limited, piecemeal success in its attacks on Tor networks.

Tor is a system that relies on a volunteer network of computers to anonymously relay internet signals through a maze of connections, which are called relays or nodes. This keeps users’ traffic secure from surveillance or censorship, while retaining the anonymity of the user. In the wake of the avalanche of NSA-overreach reports this summer, the Tor network’s traffic has more than doubled.

Obamacare: Is It A Divide-And-Conquer Distraction?

In March of 2010, Barack Obama signed the Affordable Care Act (otherwise known as “Obamacare”) into law amid a host of economic uncertainties and unwanted Federal Reserve bailouts. Two years before, Washington had confirmed the passage of Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) measures that had already met with disapproval from, according to some polls, more than 80 percent of Americans. In the meantime, the Occupy Wall Street movement was gaining momentum, involving elements of both traditionally Republican and traditionally Democratic organizations. Self-proclaimed “conservatives” and “liberals” were beginning to find common ground on issues ranging from the overall fiscal system to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The consensus was clear: Government had grown corrupt, power-hungry, and ultimately destructive to every citizen regardless of his political affiliation.

However, certain hot-button issues always seem to flood government rhetoric and the mainstream media whenever the U.S. citizenry begins to unify, causing renewed rifts and luring Americans to fight among themselves while the cruise ship on which we are floating sinks into the abyss. Those on the left believe Obamacare is a genuine attempt to institute socialized medicine, and they love it. Those on the right believe Obamacare is a genuine attempt to institute socialized medicine, and they despise it. But what if Obamacare’s government-controlled healthcare plan is only a secondary pursuit, while cutting America down the middle is the first goal?

Consider this: The launch of Obamacare comes at a time when the official national debt of the United States is about $17 trillion and the national deficit is some $1 trillion per year. Keep in mind that when Obama was elected in 2008, the official national debt stood at only $10 trillion. That means the Obama Administration has added more than $7 trillion in debt in only five years, and I can barely fathom how much more damage he can do in the time he has left as president.

David Stockman, author of The Great Deformation, summarizes the last quarter century thus: What has been growing is the wealth of the rich, the remit of the state, the girth of Wall Street, the debt burden of the people, the prosperity of the beltway and the sway of the three great branches of government – that is, the warfare state, the welfare state and the central bank… What is flailing is the vast expanse of the Main Street economy where the great majority have experienced stagnant living standards, rising job insecurity, failure to accumulate material savings, rapidly approach old age and the certainty of a Hobbesian future where, inexorably, taxes will rise and social benefits will be cut… He calls this condition “Sundown in America”.

The median U.S. household income in 2012 was $51,000, but that’s nothing to crow about. That same figure was first reached way back in 1989— meaning that the living standard of Main Street America has gone nowhere for the last quarter century. Since there was no prior span in U.S. history when real household incomes remained dead-in-the-water for 25 years, it cannot be gainsaid that the great American prosperity machine has stalled out.

Even worse, the bottom of the socio-economic ladder has actually slipped lower and, by some measures, significantly so. The current poverty rate of 15 percent was only 12.8 percent back in 1989; there are now 48 million people on food stamps compared to 18 million then; and more than 16 million children lived poverty households last year or one-third more than a quarter century back.

Likewise, last year the bottom quintile of households struggled to make ends meet on $11,500 annually —-a level 20 percent lower than the $14,000 of constant dollar income the bottom 20 million households had available on average twenty-five years ago.

FEDS TRY TO CLOSE THE OCEAN BECAUSE OF SHUTDOWN

Just before the weekend, the National Park Service informed charter boat captains in Florida that the Florida Bay was “closed” due to the shutdown. Until government funding is restored, the fishing boats are prohibited from taking anglers into 1,100 square-miles of open ocean. Fishing is also prohibited at Biscayne National Park during the shutdown.

The Park Service will also have rangers on duty to police the ban… of access to an ocean. The government will probably use more personnel and spend more resources to attempt to close the ocean, than it would in its normal course of business.

This is governing by temper-tantrum. It is on par with the government’s ham-fisted attempts to close the DC WWII Memorial, an open-air public monument that is normally accessible 24 hours a day. By accessible I mean, you walk up to it. When you have finished reflecting, you then walk away from it.
