SHANGHAI GOLD VOLUME SHOCK

by Stewart Thomson:

  1. For decades, the American “paper gold” market (the COMEX) has been the primary market for determining the POYG (price of your gold).
  2. Most analysts in the gold community believe that demand for physical gold will somehow overwhelm the COMEX, and “liberate” the POYG. They predict vastly higher prices are coming, when that happens.
  3. I disagree. I believe paper gold markets will continue to be the primary price setting mechanism for gold, but Asian paper gold markets will be where most of the action is.
  4. Like the COMEX, the Shanghai futures exchange (SHFE) is a paper gold market. Yesterday marked the beginning of extended trading hours (night trading) for the SHFE, and volume was superb.
  5. The average trading volume during the day is about 90,000 contracts. The first night session saw more than 220,000 contracts change hands.

Egyptian army’s financial coup: 12 billion petrodollars from Saudi, UAE, Kuwaiti fans

Arab petrodollars pour in for Cairo

Arab petrodollars pour in for Cairo

In a dazzling display of monetary muscle, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates poured $8 billion in a single day into the coffers of Egypt’s army rulers in cash, grants, loans without interest and gifts of gas, a dizzying life-saving infusion into its tottering economy. Forking out sums on this scale in a single day – or even month – is beyond the capacity of almost every world power – even the US and Russia – in this age of economic distress. The Arab oil colossus managed to dwarf Iran’s pretensions to the standing of regional power.

Tuesday, July 9, just six days after the Egyptian army overthrew the Muslim Brotherhood president Mohamed Morsi, a UAR delegation of foreign and energy ministers and national security adviser landed in Cairo. They came carrying the gifts of $1 billion as a grant and $2 billion in long-term credit.

In well-orchestrated moves, Saudi Arabia then stepped forward with a $5 billion package, of which a lump sum of $2 billion was drafted to Egypt’s state bank that day, followed by another $2 billion as a gift of Saudi gas, and a further $1 billion for propping up the sagging Egyptian currency.

The delivery by two Arab governments to a third of financial assistance on this scale and on a single day is unheard of in the Middle East, or, indeed, anywhere else.

Obama’s Pie

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5L3M8Pn9KU

This video was inserted as part of a comment concerning the removal of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood president:

Revolutions do not happen when things are getting bad, not when they are bad. They happen after years of things being bad, sometimes decades, and when things start to get a little bit better,
that is the precise moment they start.

John Q looks around and says, “Hey I finally got a slice of the pie and I like it. How can I get another slice? Only way I know is to take the whole pie.”

Don’t you wonder why Obama said early on in his campaign that the thing he loves more than any thing else is eating Pie ” He had his revolution, now let’s have ours.

Obama’s metaphor for pie is now apparent: he wants all of the pie. At any cost. What is the price of regaining your freedom?

Obama: Restructure US government to make “huge” green changes in America, study proposes

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3a6LhfENJ4w

The Obama administration should dramatically reorganize the relationships between America’s federal departments and agencies, and overcome legal barriers to help install the nebulous principle of “sustainability”  across government, the economy and society at large, according to a new National Research Council study sponsored by many of the federal departments that would be most affected.

The study also calls for installing sustainability in the “culture of government” and recommends that the U.S. look for inspiration to a number of “national sustainable development strategies” adopted under the United Nation’s controversial Agenda 21, a highly detailed blueprint for reworking the global economy and environment that was reaffirmed at last year’s Rio + 20 summit on sustainable development.

National sustainable development plans are mandated under Chapter 8 of Agenda 21, titled “Integrating Environment and Development in Decision-Making,” which declared that governments should “where necessary, modify and strengthen procedures so as to facilitate the integrated consideration of social, economic and environmental issues.” Currently, more than 100 nations have adopted such strategies. The U.S. is not among them.

The new document, titled “Sustainability for the Nation, Resource Connections and Government Linkages,” appeared almost two years after it was commissioned by a consortium of federal organizations with environmental portfolios at a cost of about $1 million.

Obama: We Will Stop Whistleblowers One Way or Another

Insider Threats

The most transparent government in US history was the promise. The reality is the most oppressive government that our nation has ever witnessed. The latest Obama mandate reported below orders government employees to spy on each other to limit future leaks. As Gary Pruitt of the Associated Press outlined previously, all news sources have dried up in fear of the consequences for whistle blowing. As seen with the Michael Hastings case, the administration will stop at nothing to maintain their complete control over the government, economy and our lives.

The transformation of Amerika is complete. Welcome comrade and watch your back (and brakes) because the domestic enemies have won.

Time for Another Tax Revolution: ABOLISH the INCOME TAX and the IRS WITH IT!

IRSby Diane Rufino

The 16th Amendment states: “The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration.”

The Sixteenth Amendment, which gave the American people the affliction of confiscatory income taxes, is 100 years old this year. It was ratified on February 3, 1913.

One hundred years of affliction is a long time. The time has come for tax reform….   No, the time has come for a tax revolution.

The IRS, which is in charge of collecting the income tax revenue, is 138 years old.  It was created by President Abraham Lincoln in 1862. It has gone from being an agency that terrorizes citizens over their tax returns to an agency that terrorizes citizens based on their speech and political viewpoint. Wouldn’t it be nice if the American people, being in charge of their government, could walk into the massive IRS building in DC and deliver the line that has made Donald Trump famous: “You’re Fired!”

The Sixteenth Amendment was proposed in 1909 and adopted in 1913. The proposal of a constitutional amendment to give Congress the power to impose an income tax began as a scheme of political maneuvering that went horribly awry.  In fact, the proponents, House and Senate Republicans who were in a battle for a new tariff bill, proposed the amendment as a political trick and expected the proposal to be killed by the States during the ratification phase, thereby making a popular and political statement that the American people in general do not want an income tax. But the plan backfired.  A brief overview of the history of the income tax, including the Sixteenth Amendment in the United States is provided below.

The Founding Fathers had rejected income taxes, as well as any other direct taxes, unless they were apportioned to each state according to population. At the time of our founding, wealth was measured in terms of property rather than income. Property was the goal of freedom. One exercised his inalienable rights to “pursue” happiness and obtain property.  Our founders didn’t talk much in terms of “income.” They rejected the income tax entirely, but when they spoke of taxes they recognized the need for uniformity and equal protection to all citizens. “All duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.”  “Direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States.”  “No direct tax shall be laid, unless in proportion to a census.”  This is what the US Constitution  reads. Then, the 14th Amendment promised “equal protection of the laws” to all citizens.  The principle behind the progressive income tax – the more you earn, the larger the percentage of tax you must pay – would have been appalling to the founders. They recognized that, in James Madison’s words, “the spirit of party and faction” would prevail if Congress could tax one group of citizens and confer the benefits on another group.

Obama Will Have More Blood on His Hands

It’s now clear that the decision to arrest Zimmerman and put him on trial — which again, came 44 days after Zimmerman was questioned and released — was, unconscionably, a political response to pressure from a race-obsessed president and his attorney general and the racial arsonists like Sharpton with whom they run.

This was rank corruption of our justice system to engineer a politically correct verdict, and it’s a frighteningly bad omen for the rule of law in this country.

If this president truly respects the law, he will reinject himself into this case — only, this time by asking everyone to respect the actual facts and evidence in the case and let them prevail over emotional assumptions, in order to defuse any violence from occurring as the case against Zimmerman further disintegrates.

This is what a responsible president would do.

But we’re not holding our breath he’ll do the right thing. Still, one thing is for sure: Any blood from planned race rioting will be on his hands.

Obama Breaks Law and Delays ObamaCare

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nqw1aPEkvFk

From YouTube:

President Obama decided to ignore his own health care law and delay implementation of ObamaCare’s employer mandate. Is this a clever 2014 election ploy, or proof that Obama’s signature legislation is hopelessly flawed?

The NSA Has Inserted Its Code Into Android OS, Bugging Three Quarters Of All Smartphones

Over a decade ago, it was discovered that the NSA embedded backdoor access into Windows 95, and likely into virtually all other subsequent internet connected, desktop-based operating systems. However, with the passage of time, more and more people went “mobile”, and as a result the NSA had to adapt. And adapt they have: as Bloomberg reports, “The NSA is quietly writing code for Google’s Android OS.”

Is it ironic that the same “don’t be evil” Google which went to such great lengths in the aftermath of the Snowden scandal to wash its hands of snooping on its customers and even filed a request with the secretive FISA court asking permission to disclose more information about the government’s data requests, is embedding NSA code into its mobile operating system, which according to IDC runs on three-quarters of all smartphones shipped in the first quarter? Yes, yes it is.

Google spokeswoman Gina Scigliano confirms that the company has already inserted some of the NSA’s programming in Android OS. “All Android code and contributors are publicly available for review at source.android.com.” Scigliano says, declining to comment further.

From Bloomberg:

Through its open-source Android project, Google has agreed to incorporate code, first developed by the agency in 2011, into future versions of its mobile operating system, which according to market researcher IDC runs on three-quarters of the smartphones shipped globally in the first quarter. NSA officials say their code, known as Security Enhancements for Android, isolates apps to prevent hackers and marketers from gaining access to personal or corporate data stored on a deviceEventually all new phones, tablets, televisions, cars, and other devices that rely on Android will include NSA code, agency spokeswoman Vanee’ Vines said in an e-mailed statement. NSA researcher Stephen Smalley, who works on the program, says, “Our goal is to raise the bar in the security of commodity mobile devices.”

41 IMF BAILOUTS AND COUNTING – HOW LONG BEFORE THE ENTIRE SYSTEM COLLAPSES?

Broke nations are bailing out other broke nations with borrowed money.  Round and round we go – where we stop nobody knows.  As of April, 41 different countries had active financial “arrangements” with the IMF.  Sometimes they are called “bailouts” and sometimes they are called other things, but in every single case they involve loans.  And most of the time, these loans come with very stringent conditions.  It is a form of “global governance” that most people don’t even know about.  For decades, the IMF has been able to use money as a way to force developing nations to do what it wants them to do.  But up until fairly recently, this had mostly only been done with poor nations.  But now an increasing number of wealthy nations are turning to the IMF for help.  We have already seen Greece, Portugal, Ireland and Cyprus receive bailouts which were partly funded by the IMF, Spain has received a bailout for its banking sector, and as I noted yesterday, it is being projected that Italy will need a major bailout within six months.  How long can this go on before the entire system collapses?
