NY Gun Confiscation Underway – Citizens Told to Turn in Pistol Owner ID & Firearms

AmmoLand Gun News

Manasquan, NJ –-(Ammoland.com)- Remember all those who denied that firearms confiscation as a result of New York’s new gun laws was too “insane” to even consider?

That it was strictly in the realm of paranoid conspiracy theorists and the “it cant happen here crowd”?

Those were and remain some of the standard replies to anyone who even thought about the possibility, let alone gave voice to it, despite the fact that Gov Cuomo and numerous other officials made public comments about such a plan, as I discussed in my article “Feinstein & Cuomo Admit Planning Australian Style Government Gun Buy Back” .

Elected Officials, the media, various Gun Control Groups and their zealous forced disarmament supporters, even some firearms owners themselves all insisted it was to crazy to even consider.

There’s just one huge problem it is happening now in New York State!
It seems those that tried desperately to warn of such an insidious plot had hit the bullseye with their warnings after all. News came from multiple NY State based firearms enthusiast websites late Friday that confiscations of Pistol Owner ID Cards, as well as firearms and accessories has commenced in NY under the provisions of the horribly flawed, draconian and blatantly unconstitutional NY SAFE Act.

North Korea to fire ballistic missile to Pacific. Iran unveils new uranium-processing facilities

North Korean soldiers out with trained dogs

Korean tensions again shot up Tuesday, April 9, with Pyongyang’s warning of a ballistic missile firing Wednesday, April 10 toward the Pacific and advice to foreigners in the South to evacuate: “We do not wish harm on foreigners in the South should there be a war,” said the statement.

Last week, foreign embassies were informed that North Korea would not guarantee the safety of their staffs after April 10.

Japan has deployed Patriot missile interceptors around its defense ministry headquarters in Tokyo and other key facilities including Okinawa, in the wake of North Korea’s move last week of two intermediate- missiles to its eastern coast, placing Japan, South Korea and the US bases at Guam within range.

In Tehran, meanwhile, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad unveiled Tuesday two additional uranium-processing facilities at Ardakan in the central province of Yazd. This was announced with the official disclosure by Iranian state TV of uranium mines operating in the town of Saghand, 120 kilometers from Ardakan, which are reported to have an estimated output of 60 tons of yellowcake for use in the uranium enrichment process.

In case this show of defiance was lost on the West, Tehran is now threatening to follow in the footsteps of its North Korean partner and withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in the wake of the failure of the latest negotiations between the Islamic regime and world powers (April 5-6) in Kazakhstan.

This Is the Label That the Government Will Use as Their Trigger

I will go out on the proverbial limb and make a prediction: the government will use the label “Sovereign Citizen” as the trigger for their event to seize power. As written previously:

From Cleon Skousen’s “The Making of America” printed in 1985:

It is a historical fact than in nations where the political leaders want to curtail the rights of the people and take away their property and freedom, they always begin by trying to disarm them. This is usually done by first requiring them to register their firearms and imposing a heavy penalty on those who do not. It has been determined that in many instances the next step is to  deliberately provoke widespread rioting and violence. The government can then use this as an excuse to confiscate all firearms in the possession of private citizens and do it on the grounds that “we have to somehow stop all this killing.”

Let’s review some of the labels that have been used to label groups as terrorists by the DHS: Continue reading

Bitcoin Passes $200

deer_in_headlights_0Bitcoin is the success story of the year. If you have a good understanding of this “currency”, ask someone what they think about bitcoin. I would wager (heavily) that you will receive a blank stare. There is no difference between their lack of knowledge of bitcoin and world economics. And this will not change until all fiat currencies collapse.

Why nobody’s bank account is safe thanks to Basel III and “Socializing the Losses”

Basel III, Socializing the Losses, Unmasking the Globalists behind the Cyprus Confiscation

Unmasking the Globalists behind the Cyprus Confiscation (Bail-In) Model

First it was people with bank accounts in Cyprus whose deposits were confiscated, “bailed-in,” or given a “haircut,” without their knowledge to recapitalize the Bank of Cyprus after Laiki Bank went bankrupt and was allowed to fail. Next the U.S., U.K., and Canada were warned that their bank deposits could meet the same Cyprus -confiscation fate based on irrefutable documentation here.

Now behind the smoke and mirrors of supposedly preserving the international financial and monetary system the truth emerges and all the pieces fall into place. Warning: every G-20 country—every major bank and financial institution in every nation could be next.

Why? Because thanks to shadowy globalists groups called the Basel Committee, and the Financial Stability Board (FSB), both housed within the mighty Bank for International Settlements (BIS), and Basel III, no one’s bank deposit is immune to the Cyprus confiscation model if more banks fail.

Did anyone really believe that some Eurozone ministers and the International Monetary Fund’s Christine Legarde came up with the terms like: “haircut,” “bail-in,” or “template” for future banking crises all by themselves? Did everyone really think that the broad-daylight theft of bank accounts in Cyprus could not happen to them?

Will the Cypriot banking crisis force the European Central Bank into its own version of the U.K.’s Funding for Lending scheme

Pedestrians walk past the main entrance to the Bank of England in London Bloomberg News

Will the Cypriot banking crisis force the European Central Bank into its own version of the U.K.’s Funding for Lending scheme?

When Cyprus’s two biggest banks failed, and uninsured depositors were forced to take massive losses, there were initial fears it would trigger a systemic crisis across the rest of the euro zone. Would depositors across the single currency’s struggling economies–from Slovenia and Greece to Spain and Portugal–see Cyprus as a template for when things go wrong and flee to safer havens, triggering widespread bank runs?

That didn’t happen, or at least not obviously so. Evidence of depositor flight could yet show up in European Central Bank accounts in the coming months. Depositors with large savings could also seek to game the system by splitting their accounts among several banks so that they stay within the insured limits–Cyprus showed that insured depositors would be treated as super senior creditors.

But overall it seems people are willing to see Cyprus as a special case and have confidence that the European Central Bank will remain a backstop for their own banking sectors.

That doesn’t mean they won’t react at all.

Senior bondholders and very large depositors who, for whatever reason, have to hold large balances will have taken note.

China confirms military exercises near N. Korean border

By Bill Gertz

China’s military and defense ministry on Sunday confirmed that military forces in a border region near North Korea conducted live-fire drills amid tensions between North Korea and the United States.

The Pentagon, meanwhile, canceled a planned test launch of a Minuteman III ballistic missile to avoid further upsetting ties with North Korea.

Intelligence sources said signs continue to indicate that North Korea is planning to conduct a flight test soon of its intermediate-range Musudan missile that has enough range to reach Guam.

Two Musudan missiles have been readied and the flight test may take place around April 15, the anniversary of the birth of the late leader Kim Il Sung, grandfather of current leader Kim Jong Un.

Additionally, North Korea may conduct another underground nuclear test in the coming days, the sources said, based on intelligence indicators of increased activity at North Korea’s northern nuclear testing facility.

Trust in Gold Not Bernanke as U.S. States Promote Bullion

Trust in Gold Not Bernanke as U.S. States Promote Bullion Tender

In Utah, officials haven’t yet figured out how to accept gold and silver for tax payments — though some residents have asked to pay that way. Photographer: Simon Dawson/Bloomberg

Distrust of the Federal Reserve and concern that U.S. dollars may become worthless are fueling a push in more than a dozen states to recognize gold and silver coins as legal tender.

Lawmakers in Arizona are poised to follow Utah, which authorized bullion for currency in 2011. Similar bills are advancing in KansasSouth Carolina and other states.

The measures backed by the limited-government Tea Partymovement are mostly symbolic — you still can’t pay for groceries with gold in Utah. They reflect lingering dollar concerns, amplified by the Fed’s unconventional moves in recent years to stabilize the economy, said Loren Gatch, who teaches politics at the University of Central Oklahoma.

“The legislation is about signaling discontent with monetary policy and about what Ben Bernanke is doing,” said Gatch, who studies alternative currencies at the Edmond, Oklahoma-based school. “There is a fear that the government, or Bernanke in particular and the Federal Reserve, is pursuing a policy that will lead to the collapse of the dollar. That’s what is behind it.”

H 494 and the Restoration Movement Our GOP legislative leadership needs to get with the program

tillis_stand_up

Thom TIllis

Thom Tillis may have just killed his chances of becoming North Carolina’s next U. S. Senator. Depending on how some other current trends play out, Tillis may find that H 494 may very well drive a stake through the heart of his run for the Senate. Here’s how we see that possibility playing out.

These are unusual days in American history. We have a president who has effectively annihilated the U. S. Constitution. If you have any doubt about the truthfulness of that statement simply click here and here. The inescapable conclusion any intellectually honest person must come to is that traditional precedents established and adhered to for years no longer are “the law.” Moreover, what is equally clear is that both the Federal judiciary and the Congress are totally impotent to “preserve and defend the Constitution, either as textually written or as interpreted by judicial precedent.”
