Why isn’t former astronaut Mark Kelly in jail for gun crimes?

Why isn’t former astronaut Mark Kelly, husband of former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, facing criminal charges for gun crimes?

In March, he attempted to purchase a firearm in Arizona with a Texas-issued ID. He was denied. Thirteen days later he came back into the same Tucson, Arizona store with an Arizona ID to purchase a pair of weapons.

Interesting. There are two things going on here that I’d like to understand.

According to the ATF Form 4473, you can buy a gun in one state while having a primary residence in another state, as long as you do have a valid second residence. For example, if you have homes in Texas and Arizona, you can buy guns in either state, as long as you use the Texas address to buy guns in Texas, and the Arizona address for the guns you purchase in Arizona. That I get.

But we’re not talking about which residence, we’re talking about which ID.

It’s Always about the Gold

gold

Although the amount of gold redistributed from Cyprus to Germany/IMF  (as outlined in the article below ) is not large in the grand scheme, it is indicative of the plan being implemented for other countries. Italy should be up next and whether the United States has any gold left is unknown. The last audit done by the now infamous accounting firm of KPMG, was certified over fifteen years ago and did not include any physical inspections. As Germany has found out, retrieving their gold from the Federal Reserve is proving to be difficult.

Prospects for a gun control bill’s passage in the Senate in coming weeks got a boost on Wednesday with a bipartisan agreement on background checks for gun buyers.

Democratic Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Republican Senator Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania brokered the deal and were scheduled to announce it during a news conference at 11 a.m. EDT (1500 GMT) Wednesday.

Hope and Change?

Seniors would see smaller Social Security checks under Obama budget

The budget plan, being released Wednesday, calls for changing the way the annual cost of living adjustments for Social Security and other federal programs are calculated. Shifting to “chained CPI” from the current inflation measure could reduce the federal debt by $230 billion, but it would also mean that seniors would get smaller increases in their Social Security payments each year.

Obama to propose limits on IRAs for the rich

President Obama on Wednesday is expected to announce a plan that would prohibit individuals from reaping tax advantages on IRAs and other tax-preferred retirement accounts when the funds exceed $3 million.

By proposing the cap as part of its budget, the Obama administration is taking aim at those who stash many millions of dollars in tax-advantaged retirement accounts — which it argues is more than enough to retire comfortably.

A $3 million balance in a tax-preferred account like an IRA would currently allow a saver to finance an annuity of $205,000 per year in retirement. Removing the tax advantages for funds exceeding that threshold would save the government an estimated $9 billion over a decade, according to a senior administration official.

Fed Desperately Concerned About the Dollar-Paul Craig Roberts

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RtA0x24q9s

From YouTube:

Economist Paul Craig Roberts says, “If bullion (gold and silver) were not a threat, the government would not be attacking it.” Not only is the Fed debasing the dollar, but the Fed and IMF encourage other countries to do the same thing. So, gold will continue to be acquired, and Dr. Roberts, who holds a PhD in economics, goes on to say, “They can’t forever suppress the gold price because if you look at actual demand for physical possession of the metal, it continues to rise. . . . They are desperately concerned about the dollar.”

Silver Doctors: NEARLY 20% OF CNT SILVER INVENTORIES WITHDRAWN FROM COMEX VAULTS MONDAY!

Epic drainage of physical silver inventories continued Monday, as Brinks’, CNT, and Scotia all reported massive withdrawals of silver from their COMEX depositories.

The biggest withdrawal came in the CNT vault, where 1.138 million ounces (including 737k REGISTERED oz) were withdrawn- an astonishing 17.3% of CNT’s entire physical silver inventory vaporized overnight!

One Graphic to Consider

The correlation between transportation and future economic activity shown above foreshadows a short time frame for an economic downturn. The shipping industry has been collapsing due to a surplus of large cargo and tanker ships for several years. How will this impact you? Go to your local Wal-mart and look at the shelves. Our system of just in time inventory is already causing shortages in stores. And increases in the cost of items in demand. But even these factors do not account for the shortages for ammunition and firearms.

Fear + Inventory Shortages = Hyperinflation

We have seen the price of gasoline double in four years. We have seen the price of ammunition double in four months. As the economy falters and the president’s proposed budget receives poor reviews, your retirement accounts are in the crosshairs.

WTO cuts 2013 trade forecast after record slow growth in 2012

The World Trade Organization slashed its forecast for global trade growth in 2013 to 3.3 percent from 4.5 percent on Wednesday and said 2012 saw only a 2.0 percent increase, the smallest annual rise since records began in 1981.

WTO Director General Pascal Lamy warned that 2013 could turn out worse than expected, especially because of risks from the euro crisis, and countries might try to restrict trade further in a desperate attempt to shore up growth.

“The threat of protectionism may be greater now than at any time since the start of the crisis, since other policies to restore growth have been tried and found wanting,” he said.

Another Definition of Insanity

At what point will people come to the realization that the stock market, bond market and precious metals exchanges are being manipulated? The NYSE is reaching new highs daily on bad economic news. I would have expected all bank stocks to drop based on the probabilities of bank runs and bail ins. The news that Obama is salivating over confiscating taxing people’s retirement accounts should have been another sign for people to get out of the 1’s and 0’s.

I guess people still want to believe.
