Obama to draw on public support in new round of economic battles

President Obama intends to take a confrontational approach with Republicans in future economic battles by using the same campaign-style events the White House saw as effective in the “fiscal-cliff” fight.

Many in Obama’s party believe that he got the upper hand in the recent deal to avoid the mixture of across-the-board tax hikes and spending cuts, and that the aggressive approach helped build his public case.

Sources close to Obama say he can fend off Republicans for several reasons: his successful reelection; polling suggesting public support for many of his positions; and division among Republicans on Capitol Hill.

Jen Psaki, who served as a press secretary during both of Obama’s presidential campaigns, said that the biggest lesson the president learned from his first term was “the power of the American people” and “the importance of having the will of the American people behind you.”

What’s More Important: the 2nd Amendment or Sacred Honor?

With all of the attention concerning gun control legislation, now is a good time to consider some of the following points:

1. What good is an AR-15 if you are not willing to use it to defend the second amendment as your duty requires?

If you are willing to turn in your AR-15 (or any other firearm that may be outlawed) to comply with the law, I have to ask why did you buy it initially? You obviously have no intention of defending the Constitution, the country or our founding principles. I suggest that you sell it now to someone who has Sacred honor since the following applies to you:

“If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”

2. Why would you register your AR-15  (or any other firearm that may become regulated) to comply with the law?

Assuming that gun control legislation passes and AR-15’s must be registered, why would you comply with an unConstitutional law?

3. What will you do if law enforcement comes to seize an illegal firearm from you?

Senator Dianne Feinstein,

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.

I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.

I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

Rick Santelli Is Right!

Today on CNBC during the coverage of the monthly employment report, Rick Santelli pointed out that there is some absurdity in calling the Republicans “lunatics,” when they are the only responsible voice in Washington right now trying to call attention to the out of control government spending in the overall context of an unsustainable federal deficit, while the Democrats are running the country into the ground with even additional spending programs that the government has to borrow more money to fund.

What Your AR-15 Lower Build Needs

You get a special connection with something you make yourself. This statement holds especially true with firearms. I’ve owned several AR-15s, but the one I pieced together is the one I keep at my side. I suppose the feeling of accomplishment has something to do with it. However, to be honest I just like telling people that I know how to put together a selective fire carbine. I have little or no mechanical talent, but this does not matter because piecing together an AR-15 is fairly easy—just don’t tell anyone how simple it is!

All parts of an AR-15 are important, but the components that make up the lower receiver are especially crucial. The lower receiver attaches to every other major component of the gun, and a stripped lower receiver is the only portion that BATFE considers an actual firearm. You don’t need much to complete your lower receiver. Most parts are inexpensive and easy to come by in today’s market.

The Building Blocks

Stripped lowers vary in price greatly. However, as long as your receiver is in specifications and properly machined, you won’t have any issues. I own both aluminum and polymer lowers, and both perform very well. With few exceptions, even the low-cost bargain basement lowers to just fine. When you find a deal on a stack of lowers, move on it.

It should be obvious by now that the media aparatchniks will lie whenever it may advance their agenda, and particularly when it promotes and/or protects their ‘un-nointed one’.

I have only one question regarding those in media and government who have used the slaughter at Sandy Hook to advance their tyrannical designs against America, and that is, “When do the public hangings start?” It is only right and proper that some should hang, since sedition and treason have ‘consequences’, just like elections…

We are also obliged to ask ourselves what the correlation is between this cluster of lies, and the cluster surrounding Benghazi and the delivery of arms [including heavy weapons, a.k.a. “Weapons of Mass Destruction”] to islamic terrorists in Syria, Egypt, and Turkey.

If They Come for Your Guns, Do You Have a Responsibility to Fight?

I feel a tremendous responsibility to write this article though I am a little apprehensive. Thinking about the possibility of rising up against our own government is a frightening thing for many of us. I am not Johnny Rambo and I will be the first to admit that I do not want to die. The reason I feel compelled to write this, however, is simply because I don’t think the average American is equipped with the facts. I feel that a lot of American citizens feel like they have no choice but to surrender their guns if the government comes for them. I blame traditional media sources for this mass brainwash and I carry the responsibility of all small independent bloggers to tell the truth. So my focus today is to lay out your constitutional rights as an American, and let you decide what to do with those rights.

About a month ago I let the “democracy” word slip in a discussion with a fellow blogger. I know better. Americans have been conditioned to use this term. It’s not an accurate term and it never has been a correct term to describe our form of government. The truth is that the United States of America is a constitutional republic. This is similar to a democracy because our representatives are selected by democratic elections, but ultimately our representatives are required to work within the framework of our constitution. In other words, even if 90% of Americans want something that goes against our founding principles, they have no right to call for a violation of constitutional rights.

1. First, the new feature. With every posting of the Lord’s Prayer, I will add an image of a statue, fresco, mosaic or painting of a saint, angel or Christian layperson wielding an ASSAULT WEAPON.

One of the tyrannical oligarchy’s arguments about the Second Amendment is that it only applies to the technology of the late 18th century. Anything beyond that “doesn’t apply”. As others have pointed out, scoffing at flintlock muskets is truly ridiculous because those flintlock muskets were state-of-the-art weaponry at the time, and those flintlock muskets are what defeated the greatest military on earth at the time – the British, backed by Hessian mercenaries.

Before the musket emerged as the dominant assault weapon technology in the 17th-18th centuries, the arquebus, an early long gun, was the forefront of assault weapon technology. Before that the edged weapon was the assault weapon of choice for many centuries, and before that people just bludgeoned each other with clubs, so clubs were cutting-edge assault weapons.

Today, select fire, intermediate cartridge, detachable magazine carbines are exactly, precisely, directly, technologically equivalent to the edged weapons, arquebuses and muskets of years past.

Therefore, any sacred image showing an edged weapon, if produced depicting a recent or contemporary saint, martyr, or Christian warrior could have that person shown holding an assault rifle.

Chinese ASAT Missile Test Looms – Bill Gertz

China’s military is set to conduct a strategic anti-satellite (ASAT) missile test sometime this month, according to a report reaching the United States from China.

Gregory Kulacki, a researcher at the Union of Concerned Scientists, stated in a blog postFriday that “contacts in China” revealed that an announcement on the upcoming ASAT test recently circulated inside China’s government.

Kulacki said he confirmed that U.S. defense officials also are concerned the Chinese will conduct a potentially destabilizing ground-ascent missile test.

The ground-launch ASAT missile could be targeted against a satellite test target in space whose destruction would cause a second large debris field in earth’s orbit in one scenario, as occurred following China’s unannounced January 2007 ASAT test against a weather satellite.

Tens of thousands of debris pieces from the weather satellite remain in orbit and have threatened to damage both manned and unmanned satellites in collisions during the high speeds of orbit in space.

Smithfield man charged in triple shooting

Shanquan Padgett Smithfield police said Friday that they have arrested a man in connection with a shooting Thursday that injured three people, including a 3-year-old boy.

Shanquan Dakell Padgett, 21, of 509 Mill St., Smithfield, has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police were called to Padgett’s home around 1:40 p.m. Thursday, when they found a 24-year-old man, 34-year-old woman and her son, who were coming out of a neighboring home when they were shot.

In a 911 call released Friday, a woman said she saw both a white car and a brown car filled with people and that the brown car sped off after the shooting.

The caller also said that children were just getting home from school.

“We got kids that just got off the bus,” the 911 caller said. “We got a lot of kids that we’re trying to protect right now.”

Deana Harris, who lives in the neighborhood, described the scene as chaotic.

“We heard gunshots and a car sped away, and we saw the lady that got shot in the leg,” Harris said. “She was hopping around, and the baby was screaming.”

The legendary Jim Sinclair has sent another email alert to subscribers regarding the take-down in the gold and silver markets Thursday on the release of the December Fed minutes.
Sinclair states that contrary to the Fed’s MOPE attempting to convince the market that QE will be phased out in 2013 as the economy recovers, There is no practical way that QE can cease here or in Euroland without a total and final collapse of the financial system.

Sinclair points out that the entire derivatives market hinges on the Fed’s unceasing QE, as the moment QE ceases, the US bond market collapses and the Fed must debt monetize all required debt, which means if QE stops, it starts up again immediately and in a crisis mode.

Sinclair states that QE cannot stop or the world as we know it instantly ends, and that the implications to what the Fed has done cannot be talked or manipulated away.  The consequences are coming.

Menino: Veep promised him fast action on gun control

Vice President Joe Biden “guaranteed” Mayor Thomas M. Menino — a leading national gun control advocate — that President Obama will pass sweeping firearms reforms by the end of the month, the mayor said today.

“He said, ‘Tommy, I guarantee you, we’ll get it done by the end of January,’” Menino said at City Hall today. “They’re going to get it done.”

The mayor, who has been recovering from a host of ailments for the past two months, said Biden called him several times while he was in the hospital, including a call after the Newtown school massacre to discuss gun control.
