U.S. Stocks Fall As Data Show Manufacturing Contraction
U.S. stocks fell, following a two- week decline in the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index, as a private report showed American manufacturing industries contracted in August, fueling concern the economic recovery is slowing.
Netflix Inc. slumped 10 percent, the most in the S&P 500, after Amazon.com Inc. reached a deal with pay-television channel Epix. Peabody Energy Corp. (BTU) lost 4.9 percent as Dahlman Rose & Co. cut its recommendation on the company’s stock. Morgan Stanley (MS) rose 2.6 percent after CLSA Ltd. recommended buying the shares. Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (VRX) rallied 15 percent after agreeing to buy Medicis (MRX) Pharmaceutical Corp. for $2.6 billion. Medicis surged 38 percent.
The S&P 500 declined 0.5 percent to 1,399.91 at 10:11 a.m. New York time. The Dow Jones Industrial Average retreated 69.84 points, or 0.5 percent, to 13,021 today. The U.S. market was closed yesterday for a holiday. Trading in S&P 500 companies was down 7.9 percent from the 30-day average at this time of day.

June Foodstamp Recipients Hit All Time High As Three Times As Many Americans Enter Poverty As Find Jobs
Persons on Foodstamps
Following a brief period in which it seemed that US foodstamp recipients may have peaked, with those living in poverty maxing out at 46.514 million in December 2011, and then declining modestly for the next few months, June saw a new surge in those Americans living in poverty and thus eligible for foodstamps, with 173,600 new entrants into the system, bringing the total to a new all time high of 46.670 million and once again rising fast. Furthermore, with subsequent emergency events affecting the heartland due to the drought, the administration has made sure even more Americans will be eligible going forward. As a result expect the July and August numbers to promptly surpass 47 million on their way to the psychological resistance level of 50 million. Indicatively, the 173,600 increase in Foodstamps recipients in June was three times greater than Americans finding jobs (64,000, most of which part-time) according to the BLS. Finally, a new record was also breached for American households on foodstamps, which now hit 22.4 million, an increase of 106,298 households. The average benefit per household decline once more, this time to $276.5. Not an all time low, but just above it.

NC Crime Report for August
We have posted the latest monthly issue of the North Carolina Crime Report by Suspected Illegal Aliens on our website; www.NCFIRE.info. This report covers crimes by suspected illegal aliens in NC for the month of February. It is over 100 pages long! It can be viewed online as a pdf file here: http://ncfire.info/august2012.pdf.
This month we focused on the criminal court calendars from a few select counties; Chatham, Moore, Alamance, Duplin, Randolph and Kernersville in Forsyth County.
This is not ALL of the crimes by suspected illegal aliens in NC and we do not report every crime, in every county, each month. By issuing these reports, our goal is to draw attention to the size and scope of the problem in NC. There is simply not enough time to enter it all! That is the magnitude of the problem we are facing.
You can view the past 3 and 1/2 years worth of monthly NC crime reports on our “Crime Report Archives” page here: http://ncfire.info/crimearchives.htm. This ongoing illegal alien crime wave against NC citizens has got to stop. It is killing us: financially, emotionally and physically.

Moody’s Downgrades European Union To Outlook Negative
Not entirely surprising following the outlook changes for Germany, France, UK, and Holland but still an intriguing move right before Draghi’s big unveiling: Moodys maintains AAA rating but shifts to outlook negative.
Moody’s believes that it is reasonable to assume that the EU’s creditworthiness should move in line with the creditworthiness of its strongest key member states considering the significant linkages between member states and the EU, and the likelihood that the large Aaa-rated member states wouldlikely not prioritize their commitment to backstop the EU debt obligations over servicing their own debt obligations.
Interestingly they also note that a further cut could occur due to: changes to the EU’s fiscal framework that led to less conservative budget management…
Full statement:
Moody’s maintains the European Union’s Aaa rating, changes outlook to negative
Frankfurt am Main, September 03, 2012 — Moody’s Investors Service has today changed to negative from stable its outlook on the Aaa long-term issuer rating of the European Union (EU). The rating agency has also changed to negative from stable its outlook on the provisional (P)Aaa rating of the EU’s medium-term note (MTN) programme.

Fears Rising, Spaniards Pull Out Their Cash and Get Out of Spain

It is, Julio Vildosola concedes, a very big bet.
After working six years as a senior executive for a multinational payroll-processing company in Barcelona, Spain, Mr. Vildosola is cutting his professional and financial ties with his troubled homeland. He has moved his family to a village near Cambridge, England, where he will take the reins at a small software company, and he has transferred his savings from Spanish banks to British banks.
“The macro situation in Spain is getting worse and worse,” Mr. Vildosola, 38, said last week just hours before boarding a plane to London with his wife and two small children. “There is just too much risk. Spain is going to be next after Greece, and I just don’t want to end up holding devalued pesetas.”
Mr. Vildosola is among many who worry that Spain’s economic tailspin could eventually force the country’s withdrawal from the euro and a return to its former currency, the peseta. That dire outcome is still considered a long shot, even if Spain might eventually require a Greek-style bailout. But there is no doubt that many of those in a position to do so are taking their money — and in some cases themselves — out of Spain.
In July, Spaniards withdrew a record 75 billion euros, or $94 billion, from their banks — an amount equal to 7 percent of the country’s overall economic output — as doubts grew about the durability of Spain’s financial system.

Hezbollah: Iran could strike at U.S. bases in region if Israel attacks

BEIRUT: Hezbollah warned Monday that U.S. military bases in the region could be targeted by Iran if Israel launched an attack on nuclear facilities in the Islamic Republic.
“Iran would not be forgiving if Israel attacks [Iran’s nuclear facilities]. The response would not be limited to Israel but all U.S. military bases in the region could be targets of attacks,” Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s secretary general, said in a rare face-to-face interview with Almayadeen television.
He added that the United States would bear responsibility for any action taken by the Jewish state.
Both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak have repeatedly spoken of the possibility of a unilateral strike against Iran, while the U.S. has said that it will not let Iran obtain an atomic bomb.

OBAMA LAWYER WARNED AGAINST CERTIFYING ELIGIBILITY

A former U.S. Justice Department attorney who founded the government watchdog Judicial Watch and later Freedom Watch has warned a key Barack Obama attorney that Democrat Party or state elections officials certifying Obama’s eligibility for the 2012 election could become the targets of election-fraud charges.
The letter from Larry Klayman explains that’s because those officials simply cannot know Obama’s eligibility for sure, and the law doesn’t allow them to make assumptions.
In his letter to Robert Bauer, general counsel to the Democratic National Committee, Klayman explained that the evidence shows no one knows for sure about Obama’s eligibility, so letters from the DNC to states about Obama’s 2012 candidacy may be problematic.
“There is therefore no longer any state or national official in the Democratic Party who can escape legal responsibility for ignoring the proof herein provided, and a plea of ignorance of the facts will no longer be possible, especially under the informed legal counsel provided by you (and your state counterparts), Mr. Bauer,” Klayman wrote.
“At the same time that you are receiving this legal analysis, each DNC Executive Committee member – as well as each state Democratic Party chair, secretary of state, and state attorney general – is receiving a certified letter advising them of the legal jeopardy in which they place themselves should they proceed – in light of the facts herein presented – to certify to state or national election officials that Barack Hussein Obama is the constitutionally and legally qualified Democratic candidate for president of the United States.”

Another Obama Executive Order — Accelerating Investment in Industrial Energy Efficiency
August 30, 2012

EXECUTIVE ORDER
ACCELERATING INVESTMENT IN INDUSTRIAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to promote American manufacturing by helping to facilitate investments in energy efficiency at industrial facilities, it is hereby ordered as follows:
Section 1. Policy. The industrial sector accounts for over 30 percent of all energy consumed in the United States, and, for many manufacturers, energy costs affect overall competitiveness. Although many companies will strive to use less energy, a lot would prefer to save as much money as they can on energy. That’s why you can use things like Simply Switch, this is a company which can help you find the cheapest energy provider so that you can save as much money as you can! Saying that, many companies will still try to be as efficient with their energy as they can, no business wants to put energy to waste. While our manufacturing facilities have made progress in becoming more energy efficient over the past several decades, there is an opportunity to accelerate and expand these efforts with investments to reduce energy use through more efficient manufacturing processes and facilities and the expanded use of combined heat and power (CHP). Instead of burning fuel in an on site boiler to produce thermal energy and also purchasing electricity from the grid, a manufacturing facility can use a CHP system to provide both types of energy in one energy efficient step. Accelerating these investments in our Nation’s factories can improve the competitiveness of United States manufacturing, lower energy costs, free up future capital for businesses to invest, reduce air pollution, and create jobs.

Egypt confronts Israel with 6,000 Sinai Islamists as an approved militia
To keep the truce with the Islamist terrorist networks in Sinai in place, while avoiding a large-scale military operation to suppress them, Egypt is now releasing dozens of jailed Salafist gunmen in batches every few days, so feeding the Islamists a steady supply of reinforcements. Cairo is also in negotiation with Bedouin tribal elders to grant a body of 6,000 Al-Qaeda-linked Salafi gunmen the status of an approved, independent militia. Armed with up-to-date Egyptian weapons, this militia is to be charged with responsibility for maintaining security in the peninsula.
This may be a neat way out for Egypt and let the Morsi government off the hook of grappling with the violent Islamist networks infesting Sinai. But it leaves Israel squarely face to face with a whole new terrorist outfit which has the freedom to choose between operating in the service of Al Qaeda or Cairo – or playing both sides.
Israeli security circles on the southern front familiar with the Sinai security situation explain that the Egyptian army’s claim Monday, Sept. 3 that it pulled “another 20 tanks” out of the peninsula, marking the tail end of its putative counter-terror military offensive, was therefore the reverse of welcome news for Israel.
All the same, out of certain diplomatic considerations, Israelis officials are collaborating with the US and Egypt in drawing a veil over this dangerous downturn in security along its southwestern border.
