Morsi to shop for nuclear-capable missiles in Beijing en route for Tehran. Netanyahu, Obama meet Sept. 27

Chinese Dong-Feng 21 nuclear capable missilesThe White House has fixed an appointment for President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to hold talks on Sept. 27,DEBKAfile’s Washington sources report. Netanyahu will spend ten days in the United States, during which he will address the UN General Assembly and launch Israel’s counter-attack on the virulently anti-Semitic themes of Iran’s official anti-Israel propaganda.

This timeline indicates that the prime minister is inclined to accommodate President Obama by delaying once again an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear program until after the US presidential election on Nov. 6.

It stands to reason that Netanyahu would not fix a date with Obama to take place after an attack, or that the president would receive him. That being the case, there will not be much for them to talk about.

Obama stood up to the blasts from a number of influential American editorial writers and strategic analysts who urged him to offer Israel a solemn commitment for a pre-emptive American offensive against Iran from the Knesset podium, as a means of holding the Netanyahu government back from military action in the fall of 2012. Another suggestion was for the president to formally notify the US congress of his plans for military action if Iran persisted in speeding the development of its nuclear weapon capacity.

Obama rejected both suggestions – and Iran continued to accelerate its advance towards a nuclear weapon undisturbed.

Thursday, diplomats close to the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, disclosed that Iran had installed another 1,000 uranium enrichment machines in its fortified underground facility at Fordo, and was expanding its production of 20-percent refined uranium.

When Will the Economic Collapse Happen? What Will It Be?

As of July, 2012, the average American family had an annual income of $43,000 and an average debt of $117,950. In this study U.S. households numbered about 115,000,000.  That comes to a total citizen indebtedness of about $13.5 Trillion.  The national debt, on money already spent by the U.S. government, is now around $16 Trillion.  That put a total debt burden on the average U.S. household of $256,521 compared to an average income of only $43,000. While the total U.S. household debt was reduced in 2010, it increased again in the past year. This means the average household is currently not paying down their debt, but rather adding to it.  This situation is worsened by the fact that and the federal government is currently spending money at about twice the rate that it is taking in revenue, which means it would need to cut its non-debt servicing spending by 50% to keep from increasing the national debt.  Next consider that as of June, 2012, the national savings rate, that is savings divided by total income, was 4.4%.  That means the average household has no more than $1,900 per year that could be applied to the total debt (both paying down the national debt through additional taxes and paying down their personal debt.)  So, if the federal government suddenly cut its total budget in half, and if every household completely stopped saving any money for any reason (e.g. retirement savings) it would take 135 years to pay off the current debt. Remember, however, there are several additional concerns not considered in that calculation.  These numbers do not include any of the state governments’ debts, which the citizens are also responsible for paying. Another very big consideration is that most economists agree that cutting the federal government’s spending in half would surely trigger a serious recession, resulting in more job losses (laying off government workers and reducing government contracts which also pay for non-government jobs), and thus less money would be available among the American households to pay down all the debts.  Conversely, economists also understand that if the government significantly increases taxes in order to increase the revenues, this would also slow down the economy, which is already on the verge of a recession.

Returning to the Gold Standard: Easier Said Than Done

Easier said than doneIf you haven’t heard yet, the committee which is drafting the platform for next week’s US Republican National Convention has announced that they are including a proposal to return to the gold standard. Big news.

Ironic… given that it was a Republican president (Richard Nixon) who abolished the gold standard in the 1970s. Regardless, it’s nice to see the issue thrust into the spotlight. But does it stand a chance of actually becoming a reality?

Let’s look at some numbers.

Remember, a gold standard is a monetary system in which individual currency units are fixed to an amount of gold held by the government; under a gold standard, the paper money supply cannot be expanded without also increasing the amount of gold on hand.

With a full gold standard, 100% of the money supply is backed by gold. In practice, a smaller amount of gold may be fixed to back the money supply.

According to the World Gold Council, all the gold that has ever been mined in the world is now valued at roughly $10 trillion. This is essentially the same number as the current M2 money supply in the United States.

In other words, to fully back its existing money supply, the US government would have to control every ounce of gold that has ever been mined in the history of the world.

401K WITHDRAWAL PETITION TEMPLATE – ANN BARNHARDT

I wish that the following article from Ann Barnhardt had been posted a month ago when I withdrew 100% of my IRAs to protect them from being stolen by the government. Never look back.

David DeGerolamo

POSTED BY ANN BARNHARDT – AUGUST 23, AD 2012

This was drafted and sent in by a reader, and I think it is a great template for anyone who wants to petition their employer to let them out of their 401k. I would recommend sending it via certified mail – let them know you’re dead serious, and try to get as many of your co-workers to do the same as you possibly can.*****MAKE CERTAIN THAT YOU REPLACE THE BRACKETED AREAS WITH INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO YOU AND YOUR COMPANY. FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN YOU MAKING A FOOL OUT OF YOURSELF AND DRASTICALLY REDUCING THE CHANCES THAT ANYONE WILL LISTEN TO YOU OR TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY.******

To: [PLAN SPONSOR]
[PLAN SPONSOR ADDRESS]Dear Plan Sponsor,

I’m writing to petition that the [LEGAL NAME OF THE PLAN] be amended to allow in-service withdrawals. As the plan stands now, the only way for actively employed participants to retrieve money is through a 401K loan or a Hardship Withdrawal. Neither of these two options allow participants full access to their assets. While I understand the purpose of the [LEGAL NAME OF THE PLAN] is to encourage savings for retirement, I fear that my assets are not entirely safe from fraud and theft and will not be available to me at retirement.

When Evil Rules the Land and its People

“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”  That observation from Greek mathematician, philosopher and teacher Plato is as profound today as it was when he first made it over 2,400 years ago.  Since then many others, including Benjamin Franklin and Edmund Burke, have made essentially similar statements…all of which augment the basic truth that the desires of evil men to control and install tyranny over their fellows has not changed since the days of Plato and even before.  This has never been as true as it is today in the United States of America, which is under both siege and rule from Dictator-in-Chief Barack Hussein Obama and the would-be oligarchs in Congress and the US Supreme Court.

We in the USA are living in an expanding police state, where an increasing number of conservative Christians are now being forcibly removed from their residences and placed into mental hospitals for their “crimes” of expressed anti-Obama, anti-tyranny and pro-US Constitution sentiments.  The most recent of these are Marine Veteran Brandon Raub who was forcibly removed by authorities from his home and placed in a mental institution and Christian Conservative Jason Egroff who was literally kidnapped by the Scranton PD and placed in a mental hospital.  Their crimes?  Disagreeing with the US dictator.  And—as is their bent—the “mainstream” (aka Obama) media are not covering any of this and—instead—are now taking daily orders from the Obama White House on what they may and may not cover and may and may not say or write.  The US press has now thoroughly and perhaps irrevocably been compromised, as it has embraced and willingly joined the Obama totalitarian movement and soon-to-be-open war against the American people.

Florida Town Buys 9-Ton Emergency TK-4 Tactical Vehicle to “Provide Residents Extra Protection During Hurricanes”

Palm Beach Gardens in Florida has purchased a tactical vehicle that will be able to withstand hollow point bullets (and much more). Here is one of the listed “features”:

The TK-4 has 11 ASI machined exterior gun ports: 8 standard gun ports and 3 sniper gun ports with a 7” opening for sniper rifles.

With 49,695 residents, this town is listed as one of the best places to live in the country. No need to discuss the militarization of the police in a country without the rule of law: one picture eliminates any debate.

The ASI TK-4 is an armored SWAT vehicle designed to accommodate up to 10 tactical officers. With armor piercing protection, the TK-4 can maintain highway speed, and 4-wheel drive is standard equipment for use on unstable terrain.

TK-4 Features

  • The TK-4 roof hatch has armor piercing shield protection, and ASI’s exterior sniper gun port gives the team a clear view to any impending threat. A rotating turret has a 360° turning radius. The interior sniper step allows easy access to the roof.
  • The TK-4 is standard with ASI’s “outrigger” extended running boards that allow the tactical team additional solid footing while riding on the exterior of the vehicle.
  • All TK-4 front doors have the capability to lock open at a 90° angle as well as a 45° angle allowing the team shield coverage. ASI’s gap shield with armor piercing protection gives complete door coverage at all angles.

Some Additional STANDARD Features on the TK-4

  • The TK-4 emergency package includes a 200 watt siren PA system, front and rear Wig-Wag and front and rear alternating red and blue strobe lights.
  • Upgraded suspension and tires.
  • An after-market AC with an additional condenser is installed. This in conjunction with the TK-4 Insulated walls and ceiling helps keep interior climate control stabilized.
  • The TK-4 has 11 ASI machined exterior gun ports: 8 standard gun ports and 3 sniper gun ports with a 7” opening for sniper rifles.
  • The TK-4 360° protection includes the engine compartment, fire wall and fuel tank.

Judge Acquits 2 Occupy Raleigh Demonstrators Due to Free Speech Rights (1st person account)

I saw this story several days ago and debated on whether or not to post it. For that, I apologize: posting an article on a victory for free speech should never involve a moment’s indecision. Although the right vilifies the Occupy movement (and the converse is true), most of the people that I interviewed at Occupy Raleigh were there because they knew that something is wrong with our country and no one is listening.

“With Liberty and Justice for All”

I do not believe that we truly understand the above words. They have become a mantra, instead of a code of Sacred honor. It is not only Washington, DC which now ignores these simple truths. We cannot restore our Liberty and justice system for a segment of the people. It is time to realize that “We the People” means exactly that: all of the people.  It means listening to the people, not political parties. It means that we have the responsibility to defend our Constitution and our founding principles. For everyone in our republic.

I do not think that Shaun would have submitted to a TSA search and patdown to see Paul Ryan speak at the Villages. I know I would not have submitted.

Can You Trust The Outcome of the General Election?

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) Around 10,000 deceased people were recently found on Virginia’s voter rolls by the State Board of Elections.

Local registrars are now working to cancel those voters from the list of registered voters, according to the SBE. There’s no indication of any voter fraud, but the SBE also said it can’t rule the possibility out.

The deceased names were identified by the SBE by cross-referencing 15 million records in the National Technical Information Services master death file with the current list of registered voters in Virginia.

45 million more records are still being analyzed to see how many other deceased individuals may still be on the voter rolls.

“Virginia is committed to ensuring only eligible voters are registered to vote. The State Board of Elections’ efforts in utilizing the death master file has yielded significant results with the identification of over 10,000 deceased individuals contained in the voter rolls,” said Secretary of the State Board of Elections Don Palmer. “Virginia will continue to work to ensure those deceased or ineligible to vote are removed timely from the voter rolls.”

Protesters with violent past plan to attend DNC

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u51jylwhVL4

I found a different video concerning the “protesters” coming out in Charlotte for the DNC since the News and Observer’s article did not have their video linked or embedded. I am surprised that this “media outlet” has a staff writer who knows about Guy Fawkes. Time will tell if the country is on the verge of civil war. If we are, I do not think anyone will be able to just sit it out: you will have to pick a side. Choose wisely because Liberty may not be worth the government’s hollow points to most people. Which is how we got here.

David DeGerolamo

From the News & Observer:

The YouTube video is blurry, the voice on the recording intentionally distorted. A person sits behind a desk wearing a smiling Guy Fawkes mask, holds papers in a mock newscast, and issues a call for action.

The video encourages militias, computer hackers and activists to descend on the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., next week.

“We hope to see a large amount of freedom fighters, Occupy protesters, militias and other groups that are against the tyrannical rule of our current so-called government,” the voice says.

The Leadership of Fools

I’m saying that when the President does it, that means it’s not illegal!

Richard Milhous Nixon

It has been said that a nation can be judged by the way it treats foreigners within its borders. But more importantly, a nation can and should be judged by its elected leaders and their actions. I intend to go through approximately fifty years of elected quasi-leaders known as President of the United States and examine their actions. The side of the aisle which they align themselves with is irrelevant. Partisan politics will take no part in this discussion. A simple evaluation of the conduct, policies and/or actions of these individuals should suffice. But I must state ahead of time, I will dwell on the bad and not the good; the good actions of a leader are by far outweighed by the bad. Our leaders, in this case the President of the United States, should be held to a higher standard than the rest of the population. If a leader acts in a corrupt or malevolent fashion, then this is where the focus will be directed. I believe this should actually prove to be quite interesting. Their leadership skills or lack thereof will be bared for all to see and I believe this will show what type of man each president was. Below is the list of these men starting with Johnson and ending with Obama and their dates of service. Please note: Ford was never elected President of the United States, so I will bypass the time between 9 August 1974 and 20 January 1977.

UPDATED: West Nile Virus and the Trojan Horse

The News Agencies and the CDC are ramping up…I would not be surprised to hear about additional cities making the decission to spray “insecticide” on their populations under “emergency authority” any time now.

(CDC) Some of what happens in life is luck. Many people who are bitten by an infected mosquito won’t get sick—many others aren’t as lucky. More than 30,000 people in the US have been reported with West Nile virus disease since 1999, and of those almost 13,000 have been seriously ill and over 1,200 have died.

And here is a smattering of the news on West Nile iover the past two days, fromBrittain’s  BreakingNews.com

(CBS/AP) West Nile virus continues to ramp up in the United States. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say there have been 693 cases of the disease as of August 14, with 26 deaths.
More than 200 cases of the virus have been reported in Dallas County, and 10 people have died. In the state, there have been more than 380 cases of West Nile virus in 2012, including 16 deaths, on track to have the most cases in the state since the virus first emerged in 2002, health officials said in a statement.
~~~~~NNNNN~~~~~
(News9.com)  OKLAHOMA CITY – The number of people who’ve died in Oklahoma after being infected with West Nile Virus (WNV) has increased to three.
The Oklahoma State Department of Health reports one person died in Seminole County and two people died in Oklahoma County. Another 38 people have been hospitalized with the disease.
~~~~~NNNNN~~~~~

Yesterday I posted “Dallas Under Attack by Mosquitoes” – a somewhat mocking title meant to stimulate thought about the topic of West Nile Virus (WNV). Today we have another bit of sensational news – Oklahoma is having an outbreak of WNV, also.  What I want to know is why the national coverage?  Less than a thousand cases out of some 330 Million American citizens, and only 26 deaths across the entire nation, yet it is hitting the national wire?  Yes, this is truly tragic for the infected people and their families, but what makes it national news?  What is the agenda, because all “news” these days is agenda driven. Why Is Your Money in the Bank?

Reporting From: San Marino

On the way from San Marino yesterday, I had to stop for some gas near Rimini, a beautiful beach town on Italy’s Adriatic coast. As an aside, Italian gas prices are among the highest in Europe… and the world… at €1.77 per liter (almost USD $8.50 per gallon).

Naturally, the vast majority of this is due to taxes. From the € 1.77 per liter, only about € 0.48 can be attributed to the price of oil. Profit margin and distribution costs run about € 0.28. The rest of it (just over 1 euro) is tax. This amounts to an effective tax rate of over 130% on fuel.

Anyhow, when I pulled in to the gas station, I whipped out my American Express card and asked the attendant in broken Italian to turn on the pump. He acted like I had just punched him in the gut, wincing when he saw my credit card. “No… cash, only cash,” he said.

I didn’t have very much cash on me, so I drove to the next station where a similar experience awaited me.

This is a trend that is typical when economies are in decline– cash is king. Businesses often won’t want to spend the extra 2.5% on credit card merchant fees… but more importantly, distrust of the banking system and a debilitatingly extractive tax system pushes people into cash transactions.

It’s a prudent idea to heed this lesson from Italy, for as the banking malaise in southern Europe spreads, cash is likely going to be a premium asset in the rest of the world as well. And it certainly makes sense for individuals to have some holdings of cold, hard cash in addition to physical metal.

After all, if you’re only generating 0.0000001% interest in your bank account anyhow, what difference does it really make to hold physical cash? You’re not worse off for it, but you’ll be a lot better prepared in case something goes wrong.
