Déjà Vu in Wyoming? Doomsday Legislation Is Under Study

How Free Are We in North Carolina?

WHY DOES THE STATE HAVE JURISDICTION OVER ME?

Today all people ask why can’t I get the state off my back? Why do they say they have jurisdiction over me? Why is it that I can’t seem to shake the myth that they do have jurisdiction over me? How can I rid from me, whatever they say gives them jurisdiction? Why is it they won’t tell anyone what gives them jurisdiction, whether in the agency or court? Why do people say it’s all admiralty when I am not in any maritime contracts?

These are but a few questions of many people have had over time and 99 percent have no clue to the answers. It is a seemingly thought provoking question to say the least. Many of us have tried to tell the people the answers. For the most part they cannot comprehend the data they are given. Maybe because it’s in the court cases we have given. Maybe the people cannot comprehend the legal speak in the court decisions. Maybe it’s because people don’t want to believe what they read in those cases and cling to a myth of sovereignty. Maybe they believe the myth that the people created this monstrosity called government and they have to listen to the people. There are many reasons the people have not yet comprehended.

John Rockefeller testified at a Senate hearing for the need of a civilian agency to coordinate our civilian cybersecurity under the supervision of the Department of Homeland Security. Janet Napolitano is seated behind him during his testimony: one department to rule them all.

While our personal liberty has been under attack by the government for reasons of national security, when will we understand that security is never worth the price of our freedom. Since Anonymous recently took down the CIA website, could this be another example of never letting a crisis go to waste?

The examples outlined by Sen. Rockefeller such as planes flying into each other or trains carrying toxic materials causing explosions are merely scare tactics to increase the government’s oversight of our lives. Continue reading →

DC Is Making Social Security Bigger

The trend in Social Security reform should be a concern of every American.  The trend is to make the system bigger, with a wider revenue base by pushing the cost of the system from the covered worker to the general taxpayer.  It is an enormous increase in the revenue reach of the system.

It is important to understand how this change in funding increases the revenue base of the system.  Payroll taxes which fund Social Security can draw up to 15.3% of wages, up to a cap.  So the sole funding source for Social Security is capped-wages.  When funding for Social Security comes from the general fund, it can draw on all of the taxpayer’s income, including interest, dividends, capital gains, rents, royalties, casino winnings and the like.

This trend was first predicted by A. J. Altmeyer who was the Chairman of the Social Security Board in 1944.  He warned Congress at that time; “It is a mathematical certainty that the longer the present pay-roll tax rate remains in effect, the higher the future pay-roll tax must be if the insurance system continues to be financed wholly by payroll taxes. “  He continued to say that “(Underfunding Social Security) creates a moral obligation on the part of Congress to provide a Government subsidy later on to the extent necessary to avoid levying inequitably high pay-roll tax rates in the future.”  In short, if you do not raise these taxes, the payroll taxes will rise in the future to levels that cannot be sustained.

We reached that point in the mid-1970s.  Congress developed the Earned Income Tax Credit to reimburse low-wage workers for contributing to Social Security.  According to Bill Clinton: “The EITC, which dates back to 1975, was originally designed to offset the burden of the Social Security payroll tax for low-wage workers with children.” Congress has now created the payroll tax-holiday because the middle class cannot afford payroll tax rates.

Cherokee County Commissioners’ Meeting – Thou Shalt Not Steal

The following videos are from the Cherokee County Commissioners’ meeting on February 20, 2012 in North Carolina. The issue being debated concerns a contract with an outside vendor to audit the business property  listings with the state in order to collect taxes on equipment and supplies. Any discrepancies found by the firm would result in their receipt from the county of a 35% fee for any new taxes collected, interest and penalties.

The end result was to void the contract and perform the audits in some other manner that will not result in paying the commission. Whether the audits will be performed in the future is subject to another meeting.

What are the lessons from this meeting?

  1. The commissioners did not sell the audit correctly. Although the outside firm had a good idea how much money would be generated by this audit for the county, this figure never was addressed. The people never saw a benefit from the audits to anyone except the outside vendor.
  2. The distribution of the money generated from the audit was never discussed. Would the money be used to reduce property taxes and provide relief to the people in the country where unemployment is 20%?
  3. Is the county is financial distress? Based on the incredible spending sprees from the last commissioners and a contingency fund that is twice what the state requires, the answer is no.

Should the business owners be required to render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s? Yes. Should the commissioners be held accountable for the financial state of the county and provide tax relief to the taxpayers in bad times? Yes. Will anyone suffer if the businesses do not pay their “fair share”? No. Can Cherokee County pay down their debt and reduce their monthly expenditures and budget without raising taxes? Yes. The following videos show over 150 people standing up against local government. Even more importantly, they won their argument.

The Evolution of War

The end result in a war is the looting of the losing country or countries resources. In earlier history, the people would be enslaved, relocated and/or killed as part of the plunder. As we matured into a more sentient world, the winners in the conflict found that making the conquered nations pay reparations is a better and more profitable method to enslave the losers. Debt in any form is slavery. Germany learned this lesson after World War I and the world realized the consequences of the Treaty of Versailles in World War II. Have we now “evolved” so that the step of physical “war” can be bypassed when enslaving a nation? Here is a quote from a woman in Greece (see additional documentation at the end of this article):

“They don’t want to kill us but keep us down on our knees so we can keep paying them indefinitely.”

At the other end of the spectrum is a quote from Louka Katseli (a member of the Greek Parliament):

“This is the first time ever that a European and probably an O.E.C.D. state abdicates its rights of immunity over all its assets to its lenders.”

Under the terms of the second bailout developed early Tuesday morning which has not been approved by the members of the European Union at this time:

Greece’s lenders will have the right to seize the gold reserves in the Bank of Greece under the terms of the new deal, and that future bonds issued will be governed by English law and in Luxembourg courts, conditions more favorable to creditors.

Why America Is Singing the Blues

As the president celebrates by singing the blues, America is also singing the blues:

  1. Gasoline prices are heading for $4 per gallon.
  2. United States relations with Israel are at a historic low.
  3. Iran cuts down to six weeks timeline for weapons-grade uranium.
  4. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ real unemployment: 15.1%.
  5. Unemployment among blacks stands at 16.7%.
  6. United States Debt to Gross Domestic Product is now 101%.
  7. In terms of transportation infrastructure, we are in a crisis situation.
  8. The Federal Reserve is transferring America’s wealth to Europe.
  9. The Obama administration continues their attack on the church.
  10. Price increases across most of the North American food industry lead to weak sales for some packaged food makers.

While this list is comprised of only 10 issues, I would not be hard pressed to add more. What does this list have as common denominators? The loss of freedom through debt/redistribution, transference of our dependence on God to the state and a weakened nation both foreign and domestic.
