Why We Need A Recall Amendment To Our Constitution

North Carolina’s politicians have no need for accountability once the election cycle is over. Neither political party wants to touch the issue of adding a recall amendment to the North Carolina Constitution. We have seen politicians convicted of a felony and stay in office in the past few years. Senator Hagan’s sellout to the administration was immediate and unrepentent. When I asked a current Republican House member about a constitutional recall amendment 18 months ago, his response was that we already have one: it is called elections.

Governor Perdue is the latest example why we need a recall mechanism to hold politicians accountable for their actions. Our governor represents the interests of president Obama, not North Carolina.

Robin Hayes and the TEA Party

On Sunday, February 26th, the North Carolina State Chairman of the Republican Party met with TEA Party “leaders” to discuss coordination between the two groups. I invited Scott Hurley to film the meeting and I also filmed the entire event. A portion of the meeting from Scott is shown below. After the video is a copy of the plan that Christine Gates handed out to everyone in attendance. I did not make any spelling or grammatical changes to the document.

This meeting was not announced on NCFreedom.us since it was only open to “leaders” submitted by Dr. Johnson from Christine Gates.

“Nowhere, in either the definition of “Republic” or in the United States Constitution, is it stated that those elected to represent the people in the execution of government do so only for the majority of their constituents. In fact, the Founders and Framers were vehemently adamant that our system of government be a Republic specifically for the purpose of protecting the rights of the minority in the face of the majority, thus protecting the inalienable rights for all American citizens.

To Protest Or Not To Protest

Glenn Beck both praised and chastised me indirectly today on his radio program. Mr. Beck puts forth the proposition that the American people should not organize counter protests such as the one in Raleigh to provide alternative opinions for the Save the American Dream Rally. However, he did not have a problem with people documenting these rallies and strongly encouraged non-confrontational recordings of these events.

Why Are NC School Teachers Prompting Students to Revolt?

Several days ago I heard on the local radio station a story about 7th grade students at Exploris Middle School in Raleigh, NC who were staging a “revolt”.  According to the “News & Observer” article “When in the Course of 7th Grade…”  teachers gave the students an assignment to “take over their school” as they were studying the American Revolution and the current revolutions happening in the Middle East.
