To most of us, inflation is a major issue. One side says that Bidenomics is working. The other side disagrees and has tangible proof of inflation. Housing, rent and food have definitely risen under the Biden administration. Most sapient people believe that we are in the death throes of economic collapse. If this is true, what does history show us for the next phase?
As the economy collapses, money is inflated and people have to make difficult decisions. Less food, no discretionary spending, maxing out credit cards and other money saving measures. After these happen, deflation starts to kick in for some economic items .
I bought gas at Ingles in Georgia yesterday with a 20 cent discount for my Ingles card. The price per gallon was $2.369. Keep in mind that the state of Georgia has temporarily lifted their state gas tax to help people cope with inflationary pressures. The reason deflation is an indicator of economic collapse for certain commodities is that they are not essential (or not as essential as we are told). Gas is a luxury that can be cut back except for work and essential shopping such as food. It may also be that the oil producing countries are more dependent on petroleum exports (supply) for their economies than the market demand in bad economic times.
Prudent measures in bad economic times are to prioritize your spending; something that our federal government and faux politicians do not understand or willing to face. Consider how to improve you and your family’s mental outlook without having to buy commercial items, Disney+, alcohol or drugs. Isn’t your faith something which should bring joy into your lives? Spend quality time with your family. Disconnect from social media, television and negative influences. When was the last time that you had your family cook a meal together and then enjoy it around the kitchen table? Can your children cook a meal by themselves? This is a simple life skill that brings enjoyment and self satisfaction when the family congratulates them for a job well done. These will become priceless memories for your children later in their lives.
Have faith. Trust in the Lord. Be the righteous and honorable man or woman that God wants you to be.
