Credit card and car loan defaults hit 10-year high as inflation squeezes families
Inflation-squeezed Americans are defaulting on their credit cards and auto loans at levels not seen since the financial crisis – and the struggle to pay their bills is poised to get worse as interest rates rise and the moratorium on student loans expires.
Low- and middle-income earners have been especially hit hard by soaring prices on everything from rent, groceries, and new and used cars despite the Federal Reserve’s attempts to tamp down stubbornly-high inflation.
This year, credit card delinquencies have hit 3.8%, while 3.6% have defaulted on their car loans, according to credit agency Equifax.
Both figures are the highest in more than 10 years.

Federal deficit unexpectedly set to double this year
Illustration: Megan Robinson/Axios
The federal deficit is expected to nearly double this year, from about $1 trillion last year to $2 trillion for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30
Why it matters: There’s no precedent for deficits this large, as a share of the economy — outside war, deep recession or pandemic.
- The WashPost’s Jeff Stein reported Sunday on the stunning projected figure from the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.
Between the lines: Such huge spending imbalances contribute to high interest rates for consumers — including mortgages — in the short run.

USPS Isn’t Paying 45,000 Rural Postal Workers This Week
The United States Postal Service (USPS) has failed to pay over 45,000 rural postal workers due to a catastrophic payroll error. The National Rural Letter Carriers Association (NRLCA), the union representing rural workers, has negotiated a workaround for the Postal Service to provide salary advances via money order. The incident comes as these same workers attempt to decertify the union to form a new representative body.
According to Vice, the USPS identified and resolved the programming issue within its payroll system that caused tens of thousands to go unpaid. However, the issue wasn’t fixed soon enough for paychecks to be sent out in time. The workaround for workers to still be paid for their work is less than ideal, especially going into a holiday weekend. The union laid out the temporary solution in a statement:

Take Out the Mother Ship, by Robert Gore
There has to be a return to first principles.
Imagine you are the leader of an extraterrestrial force sent to conquer planet earth. Your force orbits the earth in a gigantic starship. You do not know what defenses earth has, but back on your planet a strategy was devised to maximize your chances of conquest. Although your starship has powerful weapons, it will not attack the earth directly. That would give its position away, and if it goes down the mission is over. However, your ship will serve as a mother ship for thousands of smaller daughter ships. The daughter ships have surveillance and attack capabilities, but they are coordinated from the mother ship and are of little use if it’s destroyed. Remarkably, the daughter ships propagate, sending out their own daughter ships, who in turn can send out their own daughter ships, ceaselessly multiplying the earth’s attackers.
Earth’s defenders may recognize that the extraterrestrials are employing a swarm strategy—on steroids—similar to drone swarms that are transforming earth warfare. What’s not recognized is that an intellectual swarm strategy has been used for over a century with the same goal as the extraterrestrials: to conquer the earth. Earth’s intellectual defenders have been as effective as a man armed with a flyswatter would be in a house infested with flies.

We Didn’t Start the Fire” – Donald Trump Edition
Video is now on Rumble
We did not start the fire. I will give credit to Donald Trump’s exposure of the true depths of the evil that eventually overthrew the Republic. But there is no doubt that the Deep State’s conflagration is burning down the country.
We will see this week if there is any response from the pitiful opposition known as the Republican party. There is a small chance that Biden will be impeached by the House but he will be exonerated in the Senate trial. What is our recourse? Should we wait to rebuild from the ashes after they have executed their plan Bs and fled to their safe havens?
What do I personally want? This country is going down in flames. I have no desire to rebuild the country as it is now composed. I would like to see a portion reborn from Texas through Virginia and all states below. As for Washington, D.C., New York, Chicago and the West Coast, let them stew in the cesspools of debt that they created. This new nation’s biggest problem will be immigration. Think of how many people will want to migrant to the new South based on the founding principles of this once great nation.

Party! Party!
If you are shocked and bewildered that totalitarian tyranny creeps through our country without opposition, the reason is simple: there is no official opposition. The capture of government looks nearly complete by a party that lusts to punish its citizens for the pleasure of watching them suffer, while it steals everything they’ve worked for and forecloses their future. At least half the country objects to this. Where is a party that stands for them?
In the natural order of the American system, a Republican Party would have stepped up to check the wretched excesses of a Democratic Party bent on breaking everything that has allowed people to thrive in this land: property law, economic liberty, free speech, now even your physical health. This Labor Day Monday is the last moment in this epic political psychodrama that the Republican Party has an excuse to kick back and do nothing about the parade of insults flung in the nation’s face by persons who believe in nothing, and who will stop at nothing.
These insults lately include especially the perversion of law to harass and hinder political opponents, the prosecution of a foreign war by proxy in a corner of the world where America has no explicable national interest, the deliberate failure to defend the country’s borders against hordes of invaders, the rigging of elections with ballot fraud and hackable machines, the censorship of information of all kinds, and the weaponization of public health authority against the people. These are all campaigns carried out by the Democratic Party.

Covid was created in a lab. So were the variants.
by Mark Steyn
Covidstan Now and Forever
August 29, 2023

On the one hand, mask mandates are back. On the other hand, the Associated Press says that’s all a conspiracy theory. On the other other hand, Covid hospitalizations are up – and there’s a scary new variant from… (hurls dart at map of the world) Denmark and… (hurls second dart, backward over shoulder) Israel. On the other other other hand, that eighth shot is sure to work…
Two Japanese Professors, Atsushi Tanaka of Osaka Medical and Pharmaceutical University and Takayuki Miyazawa of Kyoto University, have a new paper called:
What does that mean? Well, everyone except the brain-dead and the more aggressive interns of Ofcom’s fact-checkers now accepts that the Covid came from a lab leak. How long is it since you’ve heard anyone even on MSNBC or Facebook say the word “pangolin” with a straight face? But Messrs Tanaka and Miyazawa have taken it to the next level:
In this study, we aimed to clarify the evolutionary processes leading to the formation of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variants, focusing on Omicron variants with many amino acid mutations in the spike protein among SARS-CoV-2 isolates...
…As a result, we concluded that the formations of a part of Omicron isolates BA.1, BA.1.1, and BA.2 were not the products of genome evolution as is commonly observed in nature…
In other words, not only did the Covid come from a lab, but so did the variants:
Suppose the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant and its one amino acid reversion mutants were artificially and systematically generated. In that case, we should suspect that the other variants (Alpha to Delta) may also be artificially generated viruses.
Please read the entire essay here…
Anyone left out there who doesn’t believe the elites intend to exterminate us?

Future Headline: Fed’s New CDBC Hacked Just Six Days After Its Launch
In a world full of unimaginable absurdity, we spend a lot of time thinking about the future… and to where all of this insanity leads.
“Future Headline Friday” is our satirical take of where the world is going if it remains on its current path. While our satire may be humorous and exaggerated, rest assured that everything we write is based on actual events, news stories, personalities, and pending legislation.
September 1, 2029: Fed’s New CDBC “FedCoin” Hacked After Just Six Days
Neither the Treasury Department nor Federal Reserve have commented on the issues with the brand-new FedCoin system since it went offline over 36 hours ago.
But what we have been able to gather so far is that the problems started six days after the launch of the highly touted digital currency meant to replace the US dollar.
Rumors on the dark web began to swirl that a hacker group calling itself Reserve Raiders had infiltrated the FedCoin servers, and transferred itself $10 billion.

“Even One Firearm Sale” Could Land You In Jail Under Biden’s New ATF Rule
We hate to say we told you so, but it’s official. The Justice Department announced a new rule to amend ATF regulations and expand the definition of a firearms dealer to include those who sell even a single firearm.
The original rumors of the rule suggested anyone who sold five or more firearms could have to register as an FFL and conduct background checks, however the official released version says selling even ONE FIREARM without a license would be illegal.🤯 pic.twitter.com/U1s9SUFm2q— Gun Owners of America (@GunOwners) August 31, 2023
We can’t stress this enough: this ATF Rule is a direct result of Republican-backed gun control. Specifically, it’s called the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, or the Cornyn-Murphy compromise. GOA and our grassroots membership warned Sen. Cornyn and his colleagues that the act could be used in this exact manner; unfortunately, our warnings fell on deaf ears, and the gun control bill became law last year.

Bipartisan Group of Senators Announce Bipartisan Safer Communities Act
U.S. Senators Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), John Cornyn (R-Texas), Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), Cory Booker (D- N.J.), Richard Burr (R-N.C.), Bill Cassidy (R-La.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Chris Coons (D-Del.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), Angus King (I-Maine), Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), Rob Portman (R-Ohio), Mitt Romney (R-Utah), Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) issued the following statement:
“Today, we finalized bipartisan, commonsense legislation to protect America’s children, keep our schools safe, and reduce the threat of violence across our country. Our legislation will save lives and will not infringe on any law-abiding American’s Second Amendment rights. We look forward to earning broad, bipartisan support and passing our commonsense legislation into law.”

Remember to thank Sen. Thom Tillis for his role in the continued attack on the right of Americans to defend themselves against tyranny in government. At least Burr is gone but he will be remembered.
