Two More Weeks

Consider the following information from two weeks ago:

THE NATIONAL DEBT IS NOW MORE THAN $32 TRILLION. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

June 16, 2023

America’s high and rising debt matters because it threatens our economic future. The coronavirus pandemic rapidly accelerated our fiscal challenges, but we were already on an unsustainable path, with structural drivers that existed long before the pandemic. Putting our nation on a better fiscal path will help ensure a stronger and more resilient economy for the future.

I recommend reading the entire article above for additional facts to put this amount of debt into perspective. What has happened to the debt in the two weeks following the capitulation of the McCarthy led Republicans? The debt now is $32.272 trillion. At this rate, the debt will increase more than $6 trillion in the next twelve months.

What can the average person who pays taxes without any representation do to fight this evil? Go Galt. I understand that this route will require hardship: it is a route that I have personally taken which has reduced my business profit to effectively zero (and may even be operating at a loss). When Duke Energy put their boot on my throat, we decided not to even bid on the new service contract. Why would a company require a payment rate of a vendor which would not increase in 3 (or 5 years if desired) with net 90 days payment? I suppose they did not consider that we would decline their boot in favor of the fresh air of Liberty.

I also declined their offer to train our replacement through the end of the year after 38 years of service. Surprisingly, their contract’s team did not understand that I developed their CAD system and standards. They also did not realize that the system was never documented.

My family was able to Go Galt for two reasons:

  1. We have been preparing for the economic collapse for 25 years. This means buying land, building a community center, workshop, cabin and house to get rid of fiat currency and help people build a better future. We hope to have the new building and sawmill operational by October. We are able to offer free spring water to our community: averaging 2 gallons per minute. The ability to be debt free requires hard work, personal sacrifice and a commitment to trust in the Lord with all of our heart.
  2. We believe in the Lord and His wisdom. This includes our God given natural law rights. No illegitimate government or company will ever take away or limit our Liberty. Until you commit to the Lord and His path, you and your family will be under the thumb of evil in this country until it is overthrown. If you are not fighting evil, you are giving evil your approval.

Until you go Galt, you will always be working and supporting an evil government which knows there is no way to stop the train even though the quickly approaching bridge has been destroyed. They know it and they will not give us the slightest consideration as they destroy our country, children, economy and religion.

Supreme Court effectively kills Biden’s plan to wipe away $400 billion in student loan debt

A sharply divided Supreme Court ruled Friday that the Biden administration overstepped its authority in trying to cancel or reduce student loans for millions of Americans.

The 6-3 decision, with conservative justices in the majority, effectively killed the $400 billion plan, announced by President Joe Biden last year, and left borrowers on the hook for repayments that are expected to resume by late summer.

Supreme Court rules businesses can refuse service to LGBTQ+ customers

Businesses can refuse to serve same-sex couples if doing so would violate the owners’ religious beliefs, the Supreme Court ruled on Friday.

Why it matters: The court has significantly expanded LGBTQ rights over the past several years, but is now carving out some exceptions.

Driving the news: The case concerns Lorie Smith, a Colorado web designer who wanted to create and sell wedding websites, but not to same-sex couples.

  • Colorado’s civil rights law prohibited her, or any business that serves the general public, from turning away customers because of their sexual orientation. She said complying with that law would force her to espouse views she does not agree with.
  • “The artwork that I create is speech,” Smith told Colorado Public Radio in December, adding that, “those messages must be consistent with my convictions.”

The big picture: The conservative-majority Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in favor of Smith, saying she has a First Amendment right to refuse to design custom wedding websites for same-sex couples.

Hollywood Concerned As They’re Running Out Of Beloved Movie Heroes To Turn Into Sad, Pathetic Old Failures

Following the release of the latest chapter in the Indiana Jones series, Hollywood producers worry they’re running out of cherished classic movie heroes to turn into sad, pathetic, old failures.

Disney producers have announced they’re also searching for more old characters to turn into sad parodies of themselves.

“Luke Skywalker was a hero for the ages,” Lucasfilm Producer Kathleen Kennedy told reporters. “We’re proud of the way we took his character and just ground it into dust, poured gasoline on the dust, lit that dust on fire, and then urinated on the ashes before shoveling up the remains and flushing them down the toilet, after which we condemned everyone who hated what we did to the character as a racist. Ha! Classic!”

‘Color-Blind’ Supreme Court Bars Consideration Of Race In College Admissions

The Supreme Court has ruled that it is unconstitutional to consider race in university admissions.

In Thursday’s 6-3 decision (along ideological lines), the justices rejected arguments by Harvard College and the University of North Carolina that their admissions programs are warranted to ensure campus diversity.

The high court majority effectively overturned a 2003 decision, known as Grutter v. Bollinger, that had reaffirmed the right of universities to consider race as one of many admissions factors.

In a concurring opinion, Justice Clarence Thomas said that ruling “is, for all intents and purposes, overruled.”

As The Wall Street Journal reports, the ruling will force a reworking of admissions criteria throughout American higher education, where for decades the pursuit of diversity has been an article of faith.

By a vote of 6-3, the Supreme Court just ruled that university admissions programs that use affirmative action and other race-based admissions criteria are unconstitutional and violate the 14th Amendment. Specifically, The 14th Amendment ensures that individuals receive equal protection of the laws from state agencies including public universities, a standard that also applies to most private colleges that receive federal funding.
