The Wall Street Journal has a synopsis in Biden, McCarthy Agree to Final Details of Debt-Ceiling Deal

With some conservative Republicans in both chambers signaling initial opposition to the deal, Biden urged both chambers of Congress to approve the agreement and said McCarthy would have sufficient votes in the Republican-led House to secure passage.

He also sought to quell concerns among Democrats over some of the deal’s provisions, such as additional work requirements for certain government safety-net programs, and rejected criticism from some progressive lawmakers that the agreement would let vulnerable people go hungry. “That’s a ridiculous assertion,” Biden said.

You don’t fight for your country, you fight for your government.

On Memorial Day, America remembers and honors those who died while serving in the military. It is altogether fitting and proper to ask: for what did they die? Do the rationales offered by the military and government officials who decide when and how the US will go to war, and embraced by the public, particularly those who lose loved ones, stand up to scrutiny and analysis? Some will recoil, claiming it inappropriate on a day devoted to honoring the dead. However, it is because war is a matter of life and death, for members of the military and inevitably civilians, that its putative justifications be subject to the strictest tests of truth and the most probing of analyses.

Millions have marched off to war believing they were defending the US, which implies the US was under attack. Yet, setting aside for a moment Pearl Harbor and 9/11, US territory hasn’t been invaded by a foreign power since the Mexican-American War (arguably—Mexico claimed the territory it “invaded” was part of Mexico), or, if the Confederacy is considered a foreign power, the Civil War. That war ended a century-and-a-half ago, yet every US military involvement since has been justified as a defense of the US. That has gradually attenuated, in a little noted slide, to a defense of US “interests,” which is something far different.

I do not have a problem looking into the mirror. Except today. I do understand the events leading up to our Revolutionary War (or the Presbyterian War if you live in Great Britain). I do understand the courage necessary for our founding fathers to overthrow the chains of tyranny. And their personal sacrifices, depth of faith and their commitment to provide Liberty for their children.

Unlike most people, I also understand that our first President was John Hanson. I only state this because most people are not familiar with the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union. Most people are not familiar with the sacrifices of our soldiers since the Revolution. The blood and treasure that this country has spent to maintain Liberty has been too dear to abandon so cheaply. Today, we honor those who gave their blood for our Liberty. Unfortunately, like most Summer holidays, the true purpose has been replaced by a day off from work and a hot dog on the grill.

I have a problem with Memorial Day. I respect and honor the sacrifices of our soldiers since 1776. I do not honor our government which has transformed our military into a joke led by General Milley.

The oath to uphold the Constitution of the Republic means as much as the words of any politician. Our military does not honor their oath to the Constitution and they do not honor the office of the President of the United States by supporting an illegal regime. Our military forces are as much a puppet as Joe Biden.

Power corrupts absolutely as we see by our politicians grasping to maintain their hegemony over the world even as it is falling from their grip. Our politicians see no use for our “veterans” or their sacrifice: they use their selected military leaders as useful idiots. I understand that this is Memorial Day and not Veterans’ Day but consider this headline:

Consider how low this country’s leadership has fallen when the phrase “Make America Great Again” is considered racist. Then again, breathing and exhaling carbon dioxide is racist since it impacts “climate change”.

Now consider the mission statement of Oath Keepers:

I honor those who have given their blood for this nation’s Liberty. I pray that the traitors in the government and the military who are leading us to nuclear annihilation are held accountable by those who have Sacred Honor and the courage to restore the Constitutional Republic.

“Victims of Government” Day

“If I were inclined to celebrate Memorial Day, I would include ALL victims of government. Not only soldiers who died fighting for government, but everyone who has died as a consequence of ‘The Most Dangerous Superstition.’

“Waco, Ruby Ridge, Wounded Knee, those who became “collateral damage” [sic] in every war, victims of the War on Politically Incorrect Drugs, victims of “welfare”, victims of the war against gun owners, and victims of the IRS. There are victims of government healthcare rationing, too. The list is practically endless if you keep thinking about it.

“Government, or the belief in government, is deadly. 

“If this day is to serve as a memorial to some of those victims, I’ll choose to remember the rest as well.”

McCarthy posted to Twitter, “I just got off the phone with the president a bit ago. After he wasted time and refused to negotiate for months, we’ve come to an agreement in principle that is worthy of the American people.”

A vote in the House is expected Thursday, according to Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA).

Now, the deal includes keeping a portion of the $80 billion increase in IRS funding and the 87,000 additional agents tasked with going after middle-class families.

A black man who was ineligible to run for the office of the United States Presidency is “elected”. He was “selected” in his reelection. His appointed judge in Washington, D.C. who was born in India sentences a patriot to 18 years in prison for trying to restore the Republic. Stewart Rhodes was correct: he should have brought firearms. He will be paying a high price for yet another FBI setup.

Before announcing Rhodes’ sentence, U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta described a defiant Rhodes as a continued threat to the United States and democracy. The judge expressed fear that what happened on Jan. 6 could be repeated, saying Americans will “now hold our collective breaths every time an election is approaching.”

If the judge had any knowledge of the founding of our Republic, he would know that Democracy is the antithesis of the foundation of our nation. What he actually stated is that the founding fathers were a threat to the United States since the overthrow of the Republic in the 2020 election usurpation.

As more of the government’s malfaisance is uncovered, the more desperate they will become. I believe that they will physically come for people who spoke out against tyranny and supported our founding principles. Come to terms with what that means because you will not have much time to decide when they come to your door.
