A New Gold Standard? Kremlin Confirms Intention To Back Ruble With Gold And Commodities

On Tuesday 26 April in an interview with newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta (RG), the Secretary of the Russian Federation’s Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, said that Russian experts are working on a project to back the Russian ruble with gold and other commodities.

The interview, which is in Russian, can be seen on the RG website here

For those who don’t know the name Nikolai Patrushev, Patrushev is one of the Russia’s most powerful security / intelligence officers and a close ally of Putin. After serving between 1999 and 2008 as Director of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) (the successor organization to the KGB), Patrushev moved to being Secretary of the Russian Security Council since 2008. In fact, Patrushev took over as Director of the FSB in 1999 from the previous incumbent, Vladimir Putin.

The Security Council of the Russian Federation is chaired by Putin, with Patrushev as Secretary, overseeing the Security Council and answering directly to Putin. The deputy chairman of the Security Council is Medvedev Dmitry, the former Russian president and prime minister. Among the other member of the Security Council are current Russian prime minister Mikhail Mishustin, and Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov.

So when Nikolai Patrushev says that Russia is working on a plan to back the ruble with gold and commodities, it is not just anyone saying this, it is being said by the highest echelons of the Russian Government.

Prepare for What Is Achievable

Prepper First Aid Secrets: Build Your SHTF First Aid Kit And Learn Emergency Medical Skills To Survive When Society Collapses And There Is No One To Help by [Colby S. Clark]

I took a class in Tactical Combat Casualty Care at one of Brock’s PATCONS about ten years ago. The major point of that class was the survival of anyone injured while on a mission. If someone was injured, the mission was scrubbed and all available resources were shifted to stabilizing and transporting the injured man or woman to a hospital to save their life. One of the class attendees was a doctor. The instructor, doctor and myself were talking after the class and I asked “what is the point if there is no hospital”?

This was brought up for discussion the next day at the regular PATCON meeting. The conclusion of the discussion: there would be no hospital but if possible, we would try to get the injured party back to say goodbye to their loved ones.

I bring this up to address Aesop’s latest post: This Is Your Wake Up Call. I wish we lived in a better world but the reality is that there will be limited or no medical care in the future. We have already seen the ravages of “medical care” with “Affordable Health Care”, Covid-19 and pharmaceutical malfeasance. While it would be good to have a level 1 hospital available, remember the point made by Selco about even making it to the hospital.

Our future may be dismal but we will come out stronger forged by our trials. I do not know if I will personally make it through to start rebuilding. I do know that great sacrifices will have to be made. I know that quality health care will not be available when this collapses but it is not that great anyway as many of us have found out by the loss of loved ones during the plandemic.

My point is simple: only prepare for what is achievable. Putting resources into something that will negatively impact your community’s overall survivability is not practical.

The Head of Biden’s Ministry of Truth

I do not know what is worse: that Nina Jankowicz is in change of the “Ministry of Truth” or that we continue to allow a fraudulent government to expand its control over the people.

Gazprom Profits Soar On High Energy Prices

Russian energy giant Gazprom on Thursday announced a soaring net profit for 2021, boosted by high energy prices.

“The main factor that affected the financial result was an increase in gas and oil prices,” the state-controlled group said in a statement.

“This resulted in an increase in sales and an increase in the cost of purchased gas and oil.”

The group announced a net profit attributable to shareholders of 2.1 trillion rubles ($29 billion).

This was up from 135 billion rubles in 2020, when profits slumped due to the global pandemic and falling energy prices.

Global energy prices have soared since last year as economies emerged from Covid pandemic lockdowns. Prices have risen further in the wake of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine.

Putin’s ruble surges to 2-year high against euro while in climb back to pre-war levels

Russian ruble makes almost full recovery despite western sanctions | Fox Business

THE RUBLE has surged to a two-year high against the euro as Russia’s central bank begins reversing emergency hikes to interest rates.

Moscow’s currency has now reached highs of just over 74 to the euro, its strongest position since March 2020. The currency has also strengthened its position against the dollar, climbing back to pre-conflict levels. Part of the divergence with the euro has also been driven by a decline in the single currency which has seen a sharp sell-off this week. The euro is now at a five-year low against the dollar with fears over the growth outlook for the eurozone as the impacts of Russia’s war begin to spill over.

The West forced Russia to protect the Dombas after eight years of Ukrainian artillery shelling of their own people. The West wanted and still wants a proxy war with Russia. Except this is not a proxy war in the true sense since one of the principals is directly in the war. The West at the direction of the United States imposed sanctions on Russia to cripple their economy. Or did they precipitate this war in order to start WWIII and usher in the Great Reset?

What I know is that Russia’s economy is stronger now and Europe is experiencing massive energy shortages that has impacted energy prices around the world. I am not forgetting that the puppet Biden had already escalated the price of gasoline and food prior to the war.

Just as Congress quickly selected a false pResident and condemned protesters to political purgatory without any rights, they now en masse condemn Russia for invading Ukraine. This is an excuse to illegally send advisors, soldiers, financial aid and military equipment to Ukraine. Whether the Big Guy gets his 10% (or more), the end result is the same: our national security is weakened. Raytheon cannot quickly replace the equipment due to “shortages”, our southern border is a free breakfast buffet and our economy is in the toilet.

Putin is laughing all the way to the bank as he watches the West collapse economically. The price and availability of energy and food is apparent around the world except in Russia. I do not doubt that Putin will go nuclear if this war escalates further. And that may be what the globalists actually want. Do not forget: they want us dead.

SELCO: When Our SHTF Started, We Thought it Was Just a Temporary Disruption Too

Here is an experience I want to share.

When SHTF started, the great majority of us thought that what was going on around us was something like temporary rioting that got a bit out of control. The city services still worked in some areas and everybody was waiting for the madness to stop.

In that short period before the sh*t hit the fan with full force, people usually lost their lives because they did not recognize the situation.

People were out rioting, stealing, fighting. But all that was still “moderate” in comparison to what was coming.

At that moment, people still were “inside” the system, so we all were trying to hide more or less when looting was going on in the neighborhood. The police were still arresting people and trying to control things. People were shooting each other yes, but it was not yet like full-scale shooting and violence. Most people were simply scaring each other with shootings.

One of my friends was involved in a shooting in those early days. After looting some stores, he got wounded. The wound was not too dangerous – he was shot in the foot.

As I said, most of the city services were still working and trying to bring order to that chaos. City ambulances came and picked him up and they rushed to the hospital with him.

About one kilometer from the place where he got picked up, the group of people that actually shot him stopped the ambulance with an improvised barricade. First, they shot the driver and then they killed my friend in the back of the ambulance. They killed him a little bit slower than the driver, and more painfully – they used knives. We got there a bit later, but it was too late for my friend.

Pull the Curtain Back

As I write this article, the DOW is up 724 points. This comes after today’s report that the GDP in the first quarter dropped 1.4%.

Gold is currently up $9.80 an ounce.

A closer look at this gold price shows strong world demand for both gold and the US dollar. If the dollar’s increased value was taken out, the price of gold would have increased $21.10 an ounce.

Normally, a strengthening dollar would show other currencies weakening against it. Let’s look at the Russian ruble against the US dollar:

The above rate means that the Russian ruble has increased its value against the USD by 4% in the past 6 hours. One of the reasons for these increases is the collapse of the Japanese yen:

The yen has lost 15% of its value against the USD in two months. If you are starting to think that the USD is a good way to store your wealth, I suggest you go to the gas station or the food store. Inflation is turning into hyperinflation at the same time inventories are decreasing. What is the best path to secure your future? George knew:
