Blast Alert against North Carolina H 172 (term limits application for an Art. V Convention): it passed the House – kill it in the Senate!

From Publius Huldah:

North Carolina is among the sneakiest states—their favorite trick is letting bills stay in committee until any controversy subsides, and then suddenly bringing them to a committee or floor vote without notice–sometimes in the middle of the night!

North Carolina’s Term Limits (TL) application asking Congress to call an Article V convention (A5C) passed the House on March 17 and was immediately sent to the Rules and Operations of the Senate Committee. (NC’s remaining application in the House will be on the next blast).

Here is the A5C application in the North Carolina Senate:  H172 (Term Limits):  Pending in the Senate Rules & Operations Committee since March 17.
We suggest you make your letters short. If House members are interested in researching further, refer them to an attachment or link for an article, flyer, video, etc. They may be more apt to read them.
“ The Article V Convention Lobby Unmasks Itself” flyer shows that the proponents of an A5C don’t believe their own narrative—that 34 states must pass applications with the same or similar language to trigger a convention; and that the convention can’t veer from the subject of the applications. Now they are admitting Congress can aggregate the different applications!   New Flyer!!

The ” Phony Polls” Flyer (attached) describes the phony Polls used by the convention lobby to sway Legislators. Polls use trick questions, focusing on the irrelevant subject of the application (i.e. term limits) rather than the dangers of a convention, which few are aware of.  USTL and other groups consistently brag about the huge percent of voters they represent, according to polls.

If legislators don’t hear from us on the A5C issue, they remain uneducated and go along with the special interests. Let’s go get ’em!   First, please leave a short phone message for these 3 Senate Leaders, and ask them NOT to bring up H172 (Term Limits/Art. 5 convention) in committee or on the floor (see below):

SenatorTitlePhoneDon’t bring H172 in Committee (or on the Floor)

Sen. Kathy HarringtonMajority Leader(919) 733-5734on the Floor
Sen. Phil BergerPresident Pro Tem(919) 733-5708on the Floor

Now please write all 50 members of the North Carolina Senate, and ask them to  VOTE “No” onH 172 and any other applications asking Congress to call an Article V convention:

North Korea May Have Fired Ballistic Missile in Addition to First Two

Well, just a few hours after he [Biden] laughed about it, North Korea appears to have escalated once again it what is a clear test of Biden’s willingness to engage with the communist regime, when Bloomberg and Reuters quoted the Japanese Coast Guard which said that a ballistic missile may have been fired from North Korea, and added that it had warned ships against “coming close to falling objects.”

  • JAPAN COAST GUARD SAYS N.KOREA MAY HAVE FIRED BALLISTIC MISSILE
  • JAPANESE COAST GUARD WARNS SHIPS AGAINST COMING CLOSE TO FALLING OBJECTS AND CALLS ON THEM TO PROVIDE INFORMATION.

Korea’s Yonhap confirmed, reporting that an unknown projectile had been fired into the East Sea (off the coast of the Korean penninsula), and adding that the missile did not enter Japanese territory.

9th Circuit Court Rules Second Amendment Doesn’t Guarantee Right To Open Carry

Concealed Carry Classes See Big Push For Licenses

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a Hawaii gun regulation, ruling Wednesday that states can restrict the right to openly carry a firearm in public.

The 7-4 decision said restrictions on carrying guns in public do not fall within the scope of what is protected by the Second Amendment.

“The government may regulate, and even prohibit, in public places – including government buildings, churches, schools, and markets – the open carrying of small arms capable of being concealed, whether they are carried concealed or openly,” Judge Jay Bybee wrote for the majority.

The majority based their decision on previous rulings and a review of both American and English law.

‘Suspicious-looking military activity’ is expected in 24 NC counties. Here’s why

Local law enforcement warns that hundreds of military personnel will descend on North Carolina over the next two weeks for a Special Forces training exercise that involves fake gunfire and guerrilla fighters.

U.S. Army officials said the unconventional warfare exercise “resembles extreme role playing” with students in training firing blank rounds while working with Fort Bragg soldiers who will be acting as guerrilla fighters, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department said in a Facebook post Monday.

The training is scheduled from March 26 to April 9, the sheriff’s office said, citing a statement from U.S. Army officials.

Staging will happen largely on private land in 24 counties across the state — including Chatham, Harnett and Wake counties in the Triangle.

It also encompasses several counties in the Charlotte area, including Cabarrus, Rowan, Scotland, Stanly and Union.

Another Biden Failure

As North Korea ramps up its rhetoric and missile tests, Joe Biden’s propaganda media is silent.

Do you have any doubt that the collapse of the Republic through a coup is the reason why there is no state of the union address?
