pResident Obama Continues to Reach New Lows

Organizing for Action

Friend —

June is Pride Month, and right now, we’re living in one of the most historic moments in the fight for LGBT equality.

Support for marriage equality is at an all-time high, and more than seven in 10 Americans live in a state where it’s the law of the land. The Supreme Court is set to rule later this month on whether that should be the case in all 50 states.

That progress is no coincidence — that’s organizing. More than 1 million OFA supporters have stood up to take part in this work.

If you’re proud to be on the front lines of this progress and you’re ready to keep fighting for equality, add your name now.

Ten years ago, it would have been difficult to imagine how quickly this kind of progress would develop. Massachusetts was the only state in the union with marriage equality, and voters across the country were going to the polls to ban same-sex marriage.

How far we’ve come is thanks to people like you, and millions more across the country who refused to let painful setbacks keep this movement down.

But progress isn’t an event — it’s a process.

There are still groups out there — and elected officials, too — that will do whatever it takes to keep LGBT Americans as second-class citizens under the law.

That’s why Pride Month can’t just be about recognizing how far we’ve come. It needs to look forward at the fights ahead. We need to keep up the pressure for marriage equality until we win, once and for all — and we need to ban all forms of discrimination, especially in the workplace.

Today, OFA supporters are standing up to say we’re proud to be on this team.
