However, if it takes a declaration of martial law to control this pandemic, I have no objection. The nation has been under attack for quite a few years. Namely, the attack against our borders by invading, third world enemies and domestic enemies. Yet, POTUS 45 has not closed the border nor arrested the domestic enemies encouraging and supporting the enemy invasion ! CONgress has not called for a declaration of war against the nations supporting this attack.

I agree with your principals. However, a virus or pandemic doesn’t care about the constitution or anything else. 30 day lock down or you, me or the controllers stand to loose it all. Now after that 30 days, I am all for watering the tree of liberty regardless of how much guv or what kind of guv is left. Point is, everyone needs to sit their asses at home for 30 days. Besides, all of this -- includihng the lockdown measures -- HAS happened before: in 1918, exactly these types of measures were taken on a city-by-city basis. Those cities that didn’t take them were slammed with dead. The coronavirus is definitely not the flu, since nobody shuts down entire segments of their nation, let alone the entire nation like Italy, Spain and Fwance, for a normal flu. There is something different about this disease, as evidenced by what the Chinese did within their own society. The fact that they are a bunch of lying scumbags, and didn’t inform the rest of the world about what was going on until a month and a half after it started and have kept lying their asses off about it since then, is irrelevant to what this disease appears to be capable of doing. I look at their actions, which can’t be hidden, versus their words. Their actions say very loudly and very clearly that they are scared to death of what this thing is capable of doing. I happen to believe that this is an engineered disease that escaped one of their bio warfare labs due to sheer idiocy, and that they have a pretty damn good idea of what it can do. There is no other reason why they quarantined 700 million people -- NONE.
With regard to what is going on in this country, the total fiasco with the testing kits should not be attributed to a conspiracy. It can be attributed very easily, and much more logically, to sheer stupidity combined with bureaucratic inertia. In other words, it is just a royal fuck up if the kind that only government is capable, not some elaborate conspiracy. Never attribute to intelligence or design that which can be explained by sheer incompetence.
We have loose in our society a pathogen that is fairly new, so no one knows very much about it. Not what it does, not how to stop it, either. I think that it is just sensible for people to avoid others, whether they do it on their own or because someone in the government orders it (and probably too late if it happens); diseases do not know what your politics are, what your race or religion is, who your ancestors were, nor do they care. They also don’t take days off, nor do they respect crowd size limits, which further shows the utter stupidity of our elected officials. As if a virus wouldn’t spread if you only have 499 people in a place, rather than breaching that magic number of 500.
I would urge everyone reading this to stock up, or if you’re smart, to further stock up, to withstand several weeks of not being able to go out to the store for food, water, medications, etc. Everyone knows what they have in their home, and should augment accordingly. This is not panicking, this is just common sense. This is a disease pandemic, which we have never experienced within living memory in this society. If we are going to be rigid on a political level regarding a biological phenomenon, then we are just a bunch of fucking morons. The thing that makes humans live at the top of the food chain is our brain, and it’s ability to adjust to circumstances. This is most definitely a changed circumstance from what is normal, and if we don’t adjust we’re stupid and deserve to die. I choose not to be stupid.
