The real question should be whether the 14th Amendment was legally ratified. Then we can talk about the rest.
The 14th amendment was not legally ratified. The government knows this. So what does that say about our country?
I would like to see Trump bring it up.
The graphic posted in the video at 1:32 shows that the 1898 Supreme Court Ruling states that for children born here to be automatically U.S. citizens, their parents must be “domiciled within the U.S.” This means they must have an established permanent residence here. Obviously this does not include tourists, or expectant mothers from another country waiting in a hotel, motel, or car.
If it did mean that babies of anyone born here automatically become U.S. citizens, it means the citizens of this country no longer have the right to determine who becomes a U.S. citizen.
Because if the child of anyone who comes here from another country in order to give birth automatically becomes a U.S. Citizen, it also means that the child’s mother, from anywhere in the world, has the final say and right to determine whether or not her child will become a U.S citizen. This means that the voting citizens of this country do NOT have the right to determine who will become U.S. citizens, but instead everyone else in the world has the right to determine U.S. citizenship for their child.
This violates the Constitution, which states that Congress has the right to determine the rules for U.S. Citizenship. Article 1, Section 8, [4].
