People have got to stop relying on the government to set the cultural trends, i. e., gender pronouns, abortion, two-tiered justice system, etc. It’s dumb and stilted to have them doing that. If this were really a country of the people, then the people would determine the trends throughout society (and there would be varying groups of thought by locales and within locales), but this top-down dictatorial methodology in a contorted republic, with perhaps over half saying we’re a democracy, points out the failures of the people over the decades with regards to civic responsibilities, and is why many don’t believe or want the Constitution, as it primarily only works for those who can afford a lawyer to provide what may amount to privileges, rather than rights.
