Russia produces almost three times more artillery shells than the United States and Europe together can send to Ukraine, CNN reports.
Russia produces about 250,000 artillery ammunition a month, or about 3 million a year, according to NATO intelligence estimates.
The United States and Europe are collectively capable of producing about 1.2 million ammunition annually for shipment to Ukraine.
“What we are waging now is a production war. The outcome in Ukraine depends on how prepared each side is to fight this war,” a senior NATO official told CNN.
The Russian Army now fires 10 thousand shells a day, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces fire 2 thousand. In some sectors of the front the ratio is even worse.
The Americans want to slightly increase the production of shells, but funding for this is frozen in Congress. Russian factories operate around the clock, seven days a week. There are also purchases from Iran and North Korea.
Now the Europeans are raising money to purchase shells for Ukraine in third countries, since they themselves are limited by their own technological limitations.

Thank you for stats. Deepens our understanding of the uniparty nation.
Destruction of the industrial west. Send the jobs to China. Look at how much money we can save. War is about math. And industrial power. And planning. The government failed on all subjects. And all of the skilled boomers are retiring or are already retired. Now they bring in the affirmative action losers and DEI. Good luck with that.
Mao called the US a “Paper Tiger” now it’s true
a recent report says that Russia has no self propelled artillery pieces in reserve. they have activated and sent to the front everything they have. the barrels of towed artillery that can be used by self propelled units are being removed to replace those worn out by firing thousands of rounds a day. Russia continues to lose a dozen or more artillery units every day.
all the ammo in the world is useless if you have nothing to fire it from.
Lol like the ROI on losing Patriot Batteries. Try again.
You are projecting Ukraine’s problems onto Russia. Actually, it’s Ukraine losing so much artillery. The M777 US artillery sent to help Ukraine is not robust enough to withstand heavy rates of fire. Ukraine is collapsing all along the front. Cope with that.
need to search for new lines of intel, yours are highly flawed.
