I can dig it! Trouble is my fixed income, has me always viewing the % rate for property taxes; I find in the poorer states that rate is higher than where I live!

Those planning to move to the mountains in the event of a societal collapse, should heed this warming: We’re going to kill you. It’s just that simple.

You might have better luck with the sodomites and pedophiles in North Carolina.

The last thing we need is yuppification and, unfortunately, most towns contain a few people who think that’s what they want.

2/3 of my community are full-on Leftards. There is no way that I can rationalize risking my own blood & treasure to protect them when the SHTF.

Especially when I was told that my unvaccinated status was not appreciated in my area; you know, “my vaxx won’t work unless you get vaxxed too.”

To boot, they don’t know from which end of a long gun the bullets emerge.
Useless as tits on a bull.

Don’t worry about what the vaccinated moan about, they are all going to be dead in the next four to five years. so, they will be gone and you will be alive with all of the unvaccinated and you can take the city back from the leaders who never took any shots and kill all of them first and finish off whoever is remaining. The libtards are dropping like flies with turbo cancers, heart conditions and many other weird sicknesses never heard of before. According to the deagle report only 100 million Americans will be left alive in our nation while 250 million will be murdered . This is why the Democratic Party brought in all the illegal aliens to replace all of the murdered American people and none of them were vaccinated because they wanted them alive, but there plan is not working out the way they wanted to since many are being deported and many are self deportating.

While I agree with the sentiment, moving to a new area is fraught with risks. One needs to get in the good graces of the locals, and in a particularly insular locale, a transplant may/will be looked upon with suspicion for a long time, maybe even indefinitely, despite expressing views and beliefs that are inline with those of the established population. I’d not deign to think I could move to a place like rural West Virginia and be accepted there. I’d be an outsider, and my manner of speech, accent and appearance would probably preclude me ever being fully accepted as someone who actually belonged there.

There is also the consideration that, at least in my own case, the business I’ve built up, and my entire family (parents, aunts and uncles, siblings and their children) has remained in the same general geographic area. If I move, I’m leaving them all behind, as they won’t uproot their entire lives to follow me. Being a lone wolf in new surroundings where I know nobody isn’t all that appealing to me. Even if I could quickly make new friends and associates (and I don’t do so easily, as a rule) I’d still be far removed from the only biological family I have left, and as self sufficient as I am, I don’t really like that idea.

One of the downsides of living in a country as geographically vast as the US is that one can move such far distances from “home” that there is no practical way to maintain connection with family and lifelong friends. That said, if I were in an area that was actively hostile (i.e. totally overrun with shitlibs) I might still consider leaving.

Presently, the balance of political power here is to my benefit, and I could go south a couple of hours drive and be in solidly traditional American territory. That would keep me almost close enough to my current AO so as not to be too far away from family, but would still sacrifice my business, and I’d have to start over with that in a new locale.

All of which sounds like excuses for inaction, I know. But there are real, significant considerations that have go into a decision to uproot one’s entire life and take up an in a new area. Chief amongst them is remaining an outsider in the area one ends up in. I think the idea of transplants being readily and fully accepted into the fold in a place they had no previous connection to is oversold.

You’ve encapsulated many of our predicaments quite succinctly. Thanks for that!

There was a time when I was doing deep research into “The American Redoubt,” John Wesley Rawles “Patriots” territory. I thought of at least having a bug-out location that I could reasonably drive to (ahead of the hordes, hopefully); places like Idaho, Montana or Eastern Washington. Land with streams, arable fields, game.

But even as a home/land-owning temporary visitor I would not have the years “in country” to be trusted, especially in stressful times.

I do have skills, preps & things I can contribute to a community, things that will, in hard times, become virtually indispensable. Those attributes could help, time would tell–if there would be the gift of time.

Tribing up is hard; my blood tribe ranges from CA thru AZ, OH, TX, NY & Florida. What circumstance will give us that two weeks-minimum warning to “gather the clans”?

I think I’m fqd!

But there will be stacks of lawn ornaments before I crap out, God willing.

Your problem may be that your home is not in the mountains–Rocky or Appalachian. Tribes can form on flat land too.

Just remember, skin color and national heritage no longer define anyone. Mental illness, K-12 government day prisons, liberal colleges, social media, and 24/7 news/propaganda have left the vast majority not worth saving.

^^^This^^^. My tribe and I relocated to North ID over ten years ago after many years in SoCal and 12 years on the OR Coast. Owing to the briefings by my dear wife and her brothers who are all native Idahoans, I was expecting White right-wing paradise. But the reality is very close to the descriptions of MrLiberty.
One trip to the COSTCO in Little Portland, a stint as a teacher’s aide in a local government high school, the shopping experiences at the PF Wal Marts, and the leftist propaganda spewed by the Daily Fish Wrap have hit me in the face like a wet towel. I am gray and silent, as are my tribe. I am blessed with neighbors who think like me, but the brainwashing here has been very effective on way too many sheeple, normies, cucks, remoras, and Mall Zombies. The culling will be horrific. Bleib ubrig.

DtheW,
Your above thoughts explain my dilemma perfectly. Where does one “run to” ? The AO you perceive as the perfect hideout from the multitude of domestic communists infesting every region of this once, great nation, is filled with enemies of your and similar mindsets like yours.

Myself, I’ve become too old and crippled with too many ailments to fathom picking up and moving elsewhere chasing the elusive “tribe”. I learned my lesson years ago when I hosted the first meeting of four other “like-minded” individuals. One meeting and never another. All four had excuses galore as to why they could not attend or schedule another meeting. Decided then there would be no further tribe-development efforts on my part. If one Patriot can garner the support and dedication of even ONE like-minded Patriot consider yourself fortunate.

It has been said only 3% of 1775 American colonials supported cutting the chains binding them to King George and the Empire. In today’s Amerika finding even 3% opposing the tyranny emanating from D.C., would be a fantasy come true.
