Should a prepper have a SATELLITE PHONE? What to have if you do not have one?

So, I have given this a lot of thought. Personally, I will not have one. If we have an EMP, they will be useless, because the satellites still have to communicate with ground stations (relay) to make calls. If the ground stations are out of commission, the satellites are useless. Sans an EMP, they could be very helpful, especially in rural areas.

Will watch the video tonight (as we always watch David SP1 in the evening)

Not much use for most folks if they stay local. Better to have and use radios of some kind…even a CB will do the job if the distance isn’t too great. And for OpSec you can work out a simple set of codes that can be changed regularly to keep subject matter being discussed open to question.
