So you have no money to prepare for the collapse…Then salvage and recycle…7 items I got for free

I salvage free mowers and other power equipment,usually just bad gas/carb clean/sharpen blade/clean plug and sell say a mower for 25-35 bucks,win for me and the buyer.
I also collect broken/non running power tools ect,usually again a easy fix/sell at a fair/quick sale price and again,two folks come out ahead.
My best find was a Jon Serad brush cutter/brand new/seized,looked at gas,hmmmm….,no oil mix.I pulled plug,dropped eds red down cylinder/next day added gas with oil(!) and have 10+ years later/runs like a champ!
That said,I enjoy the hell out of fixing stuff and have had failures/lost causes(then parts!).
I will say the cash for clunkers nonsense really hurt,before got a lot of free/next to nothing price wise vehicles/fixed/sold,again,a win for both parties.
