Student suspended for using term ‘illegal alien’ in English class

A 16-year-old student at Central Davidson High School in Lexington, North Carolina was suspended for three days last week after using the term ‘illegal alien’ during a vocabulary assignment in his English class.

Leah McGhee’s son has a teacher who assigned vocabulary words during class last Tuesday, including the word ‘alien.’ McGhee says her son made an effort to understand the assignment and responded to his teacher, asking, “Like space aliens or illegal aliens without green cards?”

According to an email describing the incident, sent to local officials and shared with Carolina Journal, a young man in class took offense to his question and reportedly threatened to fight him, prompting the teacher to call in the assistant principal. Ultimately, his words were deemed by administrative staff to be offensive and disrespectful to classmates who are Hispanic.

Writing on the wall….Parents need to take action, IF…they care about their children future.
I love North Carolina for doing this…..private Christian school and non private school are going to continue to grow in the future. The Public school has become a indoctrination institutions.
State legislators have propelled school choice forward in North Carolina to give parents and students alternative education options. More than 72,000 applications flooded the Opportunity Scholarship program this February in record-breaking demand, and additional funds will likely expand the program’s budget due to the surging demand.

Seems like the school is making a racist by filing false charges. I know this would taint my view.

Nonsense. Any “Hispanic” students who are legal citizens of the U.S. should not be taking offense as the term “illegal alien” has no application to them; and, if they ARE “illegal aliens” then the term applies and they should STFU--and, BTW, GTFO of our Nation as well.

Maybe its time to have the illegal aliens in the class ARRESTED and DEPORTED, along with their ILLEGAL family members.

Why are your children STILL being willingly sent to the government monopoly day prisons every morning? Seriously? What sort of horrible thing will it finally take? And will your child even be alive to benefit from your inevitable change of heart?

Why would one assume that ALL illegal aliens are Hispanic? That, right there, sounds racist as fuck.

YaKnow things are screwy when the truth is no longer a defense.
Pretending the words are too offensive for the ears of some kid who heard them is an absolute load of crap. What a weird problem for the student and his parents. I So hope his parents are backing him up and giving the school and those snowflakes real grief. The kid might consider customized book covers,
Does the first amendment cover truthful statements?
Illegal aliens are people from any other country, in America, without having gone through the legal process and are here illegally, hence the accurate descriptive term
Illegal Alien.
