Target CEO Brian Cornell announced today the retail giant will be discontinuing sales of the Holy Bible. The company has come under fire recently from religious groups for its new transgender bathroom policy. The King James Bible has been available for purchase at Target stores ever since the company was founded as Goodfellow Dry Goods back in 1902.
Speaking with CNBC, Cornell cited recent protests from what he calls “religious extremists” as the reason to pull the bible from its shelves. “Target will no longer cater to religious extremists,” said Cornell. “If that means removing the bible from our shelves, then so be it.” Cornell said the big box chain is “sticking to its guns” regarding their bathroom policy, and will be phasing out anything having to do with religion. “We believe that everyone, every team member, every guest, and every community, deserves to be treated equally, regardless of their religious beliefs.”

Is is really that important if they said it, or not. The children of God know what Target and other stores like it have morphed into and they basically have submerged themselves into full blown support of sodomite/lesbian behavior, transgenderism, anti marriage but the most of all they have become Anti GOD. Target for example even has begun selling there clothing as being gender neutral, is this the type of store you would bring your family to. the bible states what does light have to do with darkness, it has nothing at all. We must all look at where we purchase our items from and if it’s these demon controlled stores, then we need not purchase the products they are selling. When we begin to do this as a community of believers, then we will begin to see them alter there anti God policies. Christians must use there heads and there pocket books and ban together to bring them down, but will Christians do this, thats a question you have to ask yourself and how true you are to God. FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL SERVE THE LORD AND HIM ALONE.
Phil, my concern was not for Target but the credibility of the site.
It would have been easy to delete the article since it was not true. However, I believe it is better to own up to our mistakes than to cover them up. Besides, I actually like being wrong: no one is perfect and humility is always better than pride.
