James Alexander, director of operations for SEAL Security Solutions said, “Since we’ve been in there, an independent crime study that they’ve had done [indicates] we’ve reduced the crime by 61 percent,”according to Guns.com.
In addition to the apparent increase in efficiency, the private firm is reportedly saving taxpayers roughly $200,000 each year — even though the community is getting more patrol officers than before.
“On a constable patrol contract, it’s either a 70/30 or an 80/20. Meaning they say they patrol your community 70 percent of the time, [while] 30 percent of the time they use for running calls out of your area or writing reports,” Alexander said.
He continued: “The second thing that drastically reduces the crime is that we do directed patrols, meaning we don’t just put an officer out there and say ‘here, go patrol.’ We look at recent crime stats, and we work off of those crime stats. So if we have hotspots in those areas say for that month, we focus and concentrate our efforts around those hotspots.”

Imagine what they could do in Washington, D.C. We would have to build more prisons (if that is possible). But then that would also assume that we have the rule of law and that the judiciary is accountable to the people.

I believe this is not a good idea to put these people in charge of policing our street, remember these groups are manipulated by federal governing agencies where these guys come out of. I wouldn’t want people coming from blackwater or any of these no name security forces receiving federal money through the back door to police our streets, these dolts get government money and they don’t respect the rule of law, and what bothers me most these guys can be replaced with foreign police to work our streets, is this what we want foreign police, and in some cases there are reports they are here already. I myself personally would never take orders from a foreign police officer, once we were to cross paths problems will arise in a major way, no matter who gave them the authority. our nation and our laws dictate no foreign troops on our soil.
These are security guards with 32 hours of training, not cops. Sharpstown, which is a neighborhood in Houston and not an independent city, is under Houston police’s authority. At some point the neighborhood association wanted more officers patrolling so they hired some. In order to cut costs and get even more patrolling hours, they fired those sworn officers and hired these security guards. Basically, you’ve got uniformed security guards patrolling in marked cars and calling the cops if anything big happens. Not a terrible idea if your neighborhood can afford it, kind of a neighborhood watch on steroids.
