I’m a realist and a fatalist. In total collapse, I expect I probably won’t come out on the other side. While I’m still healthy, I’m pretty old. I’m on the short end of my journey. And I’m good with that. My plan is to stay within 100 feet of my residence until those that had no preps die off. Or they get killed off while stealing. I expect I’ll probably have to snuff a lot of undesirables in my immediate area. There is no shortage of them. I have no problem with pulling the trigger. A lot. I estimate that if things get worst case scenario, I might have 3 or 4 months to live. Maximum. Remember, the other guys will be shooting too. My reasonable expectation is to take a lot of them with me. For the kids. Zombie apocalypse here I come.
My biggest concern is medical. While I am in good physical shape, I just found out this year I have extensive heart disease that is genetic. It is slowing me down. My wife is suffering extensive memory loss. That has been a challenge, but our love will bring us through that. I have a large family clan, 24, and most are prepared in differing ways. Well-armed and well skilled. We are all within 12 -20 miles as the crow flies. I am not sure how long we could last but I expect through the blessing of Jeus our Lord, we will be around for a while.
Not to get in your business but history shows over and over again families that survive BAD Times come together, live together and work together.
Spread out families cannot support each other when even travel becomes a real risk.
During the Great Depression a LOT of families had to choose between what farms-homes to save from the Tax Man and thus who’s place they lived several generations of family in.
The Tax Man (AKA Gov.com) will get his pound of flesh as many a happy banker bought property for pennies on the dollar on the courthouse steps PROTECTED by the Local Police or Sheriffs.
Have a plan for off grid water, and a way to earn enough coin of the realm to keep the Tax Man away OR you and yours will become homeless like so many during the Great Depression.
