JUST IN – National average price of gas in the U.S. surpassed $5 per gallon today for the first time ever, according to GasBuddy.
While people may not have assigned triggers in order to enact protective measures from an economic collapse, I know that $5 a gallon for gas is a trigger that few would have thought would happen.
I think these traitors have said “When”. They have lost control and I pray that they will be held accountable both here and on their Judgment Day.

I have an Albanian friend who asks why the Americans aren’t in the streets over the gas prices? In Croatia, where he came from, he says people would be in the streets already. He says this is how they keep from having the bigger war. It’s a curiosity; isn’t it?

I think mostly because we can still afford it. It sucks for most of us, but it has not got to the point where your choice is food OR gasoline. When that day arrives, things will become sporty indeed.

Okay, afford was a poor choice of words but let me explain, By “afford” I mean people can still buy gasoline, be it cash or credit. I’m not defending this bs or pulling a Debbie Stabenow, as I don’t want to pay it either. My point being, we have become soft and accustomed to our luxurious lifestyle ( compared to the majority of the world) and it will continue until it can’t.
I suspect many of the same people maxing out their credit cards also retain their HBO and iPhones. And I’m not suggesting people should give up on those things, I’m merely pointing out that as long as they can get gasoline and pay for it BY ANY MEANS, cash or credit then they will. Protests will only happen when that is no longer option for the majority of the people. What the magic number is, I don’t know. $8.00 or $10.00, somewhere there will be a breaking point.

Teachers??? The ones that work about 9 months a year and yet talk about how low their “yearly” salary is? Most can retire after 25 years with a pension. The Illinois “pension” system is $317 billion dollars in the red. “They better not touch my pension” is the battle cry of the current retirees when cutbacks are mentioned.
