Greenwood Park Mall in Indiana rang out with gunfire Sunday as a man with a semi-automatic rifle opened fire, immediately killing three people and injuring two others. That’s when the typical mass-shooting narrative changed. Elisjsha Dicken, a 22-year-old carrying a concealed handgun, ended the slaughter by taking down the wannabe mass murderer. This story must be told.

Yes, God bless this young man and his integrity. He didn’t calculate his legal liabilities before acted to help his neighbors. Like Kyle Rittenhouse, he is showing us hope in the young men and women coming up. It should also be noted that his actions make a good case for why the police don’t really need all the militarized equipment and policies (as at Uvaldi) to do their job. I heard that the shooter in this case was taken down in less than a minute, including a chase. I wonder who taught him to shoot? His mom, dad, grandfather, or grandmother?
