The Insurrection at Athens, Tennessee or the Restoration of the United States?

From YouTube:

The Battle of Athens was an armed rebellion led by WWII veterans and citizens in Athens and Etowah, Tennessee, United States, against the tyrannical local government in August 1946.

The abuses of the Cantrell political machine and the successful efforts of the returning veterans to restore freedom is a story that must not be forgotten. The cost was high but then the cost to restore freedom is always high.  The problem is that the American people and what is left of our Jewish and Christian churches have forgotten the words that turned defeat into victory in the Revolutionary War:

“What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: ’tis dearness only that gives everything its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.”
― Thomas PaineThe American Crisis

Or even worse than forgetting the price of freedom, we no longer care. The lessons from the Battle of Athens, TN and the Insurrection at Wilmington, NC are not taught in our schools. Was the government of Athens corrupt? Was this the only solution? Why didn’t the government stop the corruption before the battle? Why didn’t the national guard put down the insurrection at the time or afterwards?

These questions are not the reason that this story is being resurrected through social network channels. These are the questions that we are being told to ask of ourselves:

  1. Is the government of United States corrupt?
  2. Is an insurrection the only solution?
  3. Why didn’t the government stop the corruption?
  4. Will the military or the national guard put down the insurrection if the people rise up?
  5. Is standing up for freedom insurrection or restoring the rule of law and the Republic?
  6. Will elections solve the problem when voter fraud is rampant?

These questions are being asked around the nation by more than 3 percent of the people. And the government realizes it as shown by Leon Panetta’s actions in Afghanistan. It is up to the people to decide when they will stand up with sacred honor to restore freedom for our children’s future.

Is the Govt corrupt? Of course they are.
Everyday both parties together pass new laws taking away our freedom. and then blame it on Obama, like NDAA, and the latest anti free speech law. How about the Patriot act, the TSA Homeland security, unendin wasteful payback spending, (Medicare Part D), farm and ethanol subsidies, the Fake Food Safety act, drug wars, no Border control, paying for all illegal services ……………. need I go on.? This has been going on for 99 years and by BOTH parties
