I’ve noticed this for some time and it doesn’t seem to matter which “good” search engine you use, e.g. Startpage, Brave, Qwant, Swisscows or Presearch.
Further, only a couple of my trusted news sites ever showed up in the “January 6” searches I made using the alternate search engines, so we are already at the point where you have to know where to go to get good information.

I remember being 14-16 yrs old searching the WWW. It was a fascinating time to explore and surf the web.
Few months ago I was seeking an RV component- somewhat rare. I scrolled thru page 30 before just giving up after seeing the same results pop up over and over and over. Then I watched this 3 days ago and put 2 & 2 together.
The freedom of thought on the web is long gone (hail hydra 🙄)

The internet is an addiction. I don’t believe most of what I read or see on it anyway. If you assume everything is a lie you will arrive at the truth. This formula works. It’s like if you believe the exact opposite of everything the federal government (particularly the democrats) tells you, you will find the truth.
