Friend —
One year ago yesterday, marriage equality finally became a reality in my home state of Illinois.
It was a proud day for millions across the state — and for me, it meant that I could marry the woman I love.
Since then, 16 more states — everywhere from Wyoming to Florida — have made marriage equality the law of the land.
That’s something to celebrate.
This Pride Month, say you’re proud to be on the front lines of the fight for LGBT equality.
It seems almost unbelievable that we’ve come so far in just a few years.
But it’s worth remembering that this recent progress isn’t a happy accident.
There were years — decades — of struggles, setbacks, and resistance. It took a movement of millions, people and organizations all over the country, to change Americans’ hearts and minds.
Every rally, every pride event, and each grassroots campaign for dignity and equality is a precursor to this historic moment. Just last week, Gallup recorded a record-high level of support for marriage equality in the United States.
The fact that we’ve come so far is exactly why we can’t let up now. Hate groups and extreme conservative elected officials are still working hard — they’re losing badly, but they’re still out there.
For me, Pride Month is for anyone willing to stand up and say “I’m proud to fight for equality.”

what do we expect from an ismlamic marixst pervert.
The problem with same-sex marriage is that it contradicts God’s original covenant with mankind. Going against The Almighty’s ordained order never works out in the long run.
Anyone in Christ knows all to well what happens to people who perform such deeds between themselves and also with animals. which is the next frontier our scoutus pervert justices will eventually get to. the majority of people residing in the U.S. do not believe any longer in the Biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah, its a fairly tale to them or some mythical story. but God did destroy over 1 million inhabitants of the two main cites as well as the surrounding cities that were partaking in Homosexuality. Did you ever wonder why the Homos do not like being called sodomites, because it reminds them all to often of the Biblical account of there sins against God and the destruction of the cities with Fire and Brimstone.
