THE COVENANT OF THE HAMAS – MAIN POINTS

The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement was issued on August 18, 1988. The Islamic Resistance Movement, also known as the HAMAS, is an extremist fundamentalist Islamic organization operating in the territories under Israeli control. Its Covenant is a comprehensive manifesto comprised of 36 separate articles, all of which promote the basic HAMAS goal of destroying the State of Israel through Jihad (Islamic Holy War). The following are excerpts of the HAMAS Covenant: Goals of the HAMAS:

—————————–

‘The Islamic Resistance Movement is a distinguished Palestinian movement, whose allegiance is to Allah, and whose way of life is Islam. It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine.’ (Article 6) On the Destruction of Israel:

—————————–

‘Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.’

There has been a media frenzy concerning Netanyahu’s declaration comparing Gaza’s fate to Amalek:

Although the Hamas covenant was issued in 1988, it appears that the world would like to dismiss it and focus on Netanyahu’s statement. I want to stress that the events unfolding will not be impacted by the people of any one or more nations. The “leaders” of the two sides in this religious war will not negotiate and have been manipulating events leading up to WWIII.

Where does that leave us? If we cannot change the events or even offer input to these “leaders”, we must focus on what we can impact. I personally start with prayer and ask for guidance. As related in a previous post concerning Men of God, I was shown that the Lord will stand with us in war but also that these current events were of no concern to me at this time. And that gave me peace. What more can a human man or woman require than the hand of God on their shoulder with the knowledge that He is in charge?

I know that many “knowledgeable” people are giving their spin of whom we should support or not support. As for me, I will trust in the Lord and listen with my ears for His guidance.

The New Testament informs us about the Old Testament. Faith in Christ. Christen has risen. Truly he has risen. The chosen people are not a race. The chosen people are those who have faith in Jesus Christ.

The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed while the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. God’s chosen people is the Nation of Israel. The Gentiles, you and I and any other believer are grafted in.

When I am quiet, and not distracted by the “news”, I am much more at peace. I am able to hear that He stands with us and that these current events are of no concern. Other times, the noise is deafening and I struggle to hear His voice and find that peace. Cue the Serenity Prayer.

Thank you for reminding me of what is truly important.

In the video, i do not here Netanyahu say they are going to…
“slay both man & WOMAN, INFANT & suckling, ox & sheep, camel & donkey”
Now if they do this i do have a problem with supporting this. And yes i understand this was once called for in the old testament, we are no longer in that day.

The clock may have advanced, but the peoples of the middle east have not. Consider how current events mimic ancient history:

“To understand Amalek, it is helpful to go back to the time of Jacob our forefather. Jacob had a twin brother Esav, who was a lifelong rival – so much so that Esav sought to kill Jacob. (see Genesis 27:41)
“The Midrash says that when Esav was getting old, he called his grandson Amalek and said: “I tried to kill Jacob but was unable. Now I am entrusting you and your descendents with the important mission of annihilating Jacob’s descendents – the Jewish people. Carry out this deed for me. Be relentless and do not show mercy.”
“This conflict is much deeper than just a “sibling rivalry.” Philosophically, Amalek and the Jewish people stand at opposite ends of the spectrum.”

“While Jacob believes that God runs the world and there is an absolute standard of morality, Esav/Amalek believes that life is random – and morality is therefore subjective. This hatred for the message of morality actually forms the basis of all anti-Semitism. Just as the Jews stand for the principle of caring for the vulnerable and weak, Amalek is the opposite – “attacking the weakest people trailing behind” (Deut. 25:18).
“True to his mission, Amalek has historically tried to destroy the Jews. The first traces of Amalek are found when they fought against the Jewish people as they left Egypt circa 1300 BCE, attacking the Jews out of pure hatred – Amalek lived in a distant land and was under no imminent threat (Exodus 17:8-15). Amalek resurfaced later in history, in a battle against King Saul (1-Samuel ch. 15). Again, Amalek arose headed by the wicked Haman who commanded an attempted genocide against the entire Jewish people, as recorded in the Book of Esther.”

“Today, we are not equipped to identify any specific individual or nation as Amalek. Therefore, Rabbi Moshe Feinstein writes, the mitzvah is to remember what Amalek did, and to eradicate the trait they displayed of acting cruel and presumptuously against God in the face of all reason.”

This is interesting….According to the Bible, those who practice hamas/violence against the children of Israel will bring the fierce wrath of God down upon themselves. The first place the word hamas appears in the BIble is in Genesis 6:11 & 13.
