I respectfully disagree. This is the flag for States’ Rights. But then I am not a Republican or a Democrat. I do believe in the concept of a weak federal government and strong state governments as outlined in the Constitution. Which is the definition of a confederacy. Those who do not know history will be doomed to repeat it. As propaganda will doom us also.
For those who feel this flag represents slavery, you have been misled. However, this symbol of states’ rights has been transformed into this representation. By the federal government, race baiters and our teachers. The question really becomes: what symbol represents states’ rights? As outlined in the Constitution.
Here is a good start:
“An Appeal To Heaven” is always a good choice.
My selection, however, is “Bonnie Blue” … it’s both a flag and a song:
The first verse:
We are a band of brothers and native to the soil,
Fighting for the property we gained by honest toil;
And when our rights were threatened, the cry rose near and far,
Hurrah! for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star.

So he is upset that someone who very likely supported a black woman for Congress brought a flag representing a time before the federal invasion and occupation reminding people of that time and the valiant people, some of whom were black, who supported it? Maybe if he took time out from trying to be “cool”, get down from the moral jackass he is riding, do a bit of research on FACTUAL history as opposed to the BS he was spoon fed in public school he might get a clue as to what his is talking about. Personally I would lay a bet on that happening anytime soon.
if we follow his advice and capitulate by denying factual history and it’s historical symbols exactly for what are we fighting? And what will be the next demand followed by empty promises to stop the senseless name calling if we are only willing to give up more of who and what we are? I would suggest it might be the denial of our grand fellows such as Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis, and their like but that my friends is already happening. In fact as many are aware there is now a movement afoot to remove even the likes of Thomas Jefferson and George Washington because “they owned slaves.”
In the end if you loose your roots you have nothing to anchor you and are will easily fall for almost anything. Let him make an effort the learn the facts before he makes absurd statement from his anal cavity and the demands we deny who we are. Far too much has already been lost and it is past time we stop the politically correct onslaught before we and our history are wiped out and our children left adrift in a sea of uncertainly.
When I was a child my parents bought my older brother a towel which featured and old gentleman in a Confederate uniform, holding a sword, and a Confederate flag. The caption read “Hell no, I’ll never forget.” With no intention to offend anyone of good will or intellect, I’ll follow that advice and make my stand in Dixie. If that offends you, well you and the jackass you rode in on.
