Curiously, the scam artist did not include a number on the flight deck of the carrier beside it. Oops! That was because he knew that most people wouldn’t notice that the number wasn’t there and, second, if he included another carrier’s number, it would immediately reveal the fraud because people would know that this second carrier is actually elsewhere and is nowhere near the Eisenhower.

The carrier in question is @ pier 11 @ NAB Norfolk. I lived there for a stint on CV-66 in the 80’s
