Speaking of Herod, he inquired of the Magi diligently as to when the child was born. Then he had the children 2 years and younger murdered. This should alert us that the Magi were not there at the birth of Christ. It was over a year later, thus the safe dictate of 2 years and younger. If the Magi were there at the birth of Christ, Herod would have just had newborn babes murdered.

I guess we can thank the song WE THREE KINGS and we can thank those Italian/Roman Catholic nativity scenes which usually have the three men with their camels that are part of the characters of a creche that decorate churches, homes and so forth. Reading the Bible for oneself helps us not be deceived. Christmas (the mass for Christ) which we have mostly from Roman Catholicism and Pagan customs (decorated evergreen trees, holly and ivy, Sinter Claus, yule logs) not to mention drunken parties to celebrate the Holy-Days.

In Mathew 2:9,10, the Magi saw a “young child”, [paidion] in a house, not a manger. No shepherds are mentioned. These are two different events in different time frames. Shew this to a minister and they’ll likely say, “what’s the difference? Here’s the difference:

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
The wrong dividing of the word of God is the at the center of all of the denominational splits.
