This Is How Food Stamps Really Work

I received the following email today :

This picture is endorsed by nearly 50 million people who eat at the expense of  American taxpayers and the Chinese government

The reality is quite different. A food stamp recipient actually receives an EBT card instead of the “old” food stamp voucher:

EBT card

How does someone get their “right” to an EBT card? Glad you asked:

HOW FOOD ASSISTANCE BENEFITS ARE RECEIVED

Paper stamps or food coupons are no longer issued in North Carolina. In September 1998: Catawba County began using Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) to issue benefits to eligible households. Once a household has been determined eligible, they will receive an EBT card through the mail, only one card is issued per family. The card then needs to be activated by calling 1-888-622-7328 and issuing the EBT card a four digit pin number that the household member chooses. The household may then purchase food at any authorized grocery store. Once a purchase has been made the amount of the purchase is automatically deducted from their account and the remaining balance is shown on the bottom of their receipt. The monthly benefits are added to the account on the same day each month.

Recipients who are handicapped or physically unable to shop for themselves can name someone they trust as an authorized representative. The representative will get an EBT card that has full access to the recipient’s account and be able to shop for them.

The above information comes from Catawba County, NC.  As the number of EBT card recipients has reached an incredible 46 million people in the United States, we have to also realize that people will vote for their “rights” in the upcoming election. Whether Obama is re-elected or not, the system will collapse as people realize that they are able to vote themselves money, benefits and rights. One man’s right is another man’s enslavement.
