True.
Lord, help my thoughts to be your thoughts and my ways to be your ways – every minute of every day. In Jesus name, amen.

Who is more righteous. The man in church thinking about fishing, or the man in a boat thinking about God?

Sounds like the brother Paul Washer. He does not sugar coat and that I love. A disciple seeks to be corrected, humbly and constantly.

Performative religion.
It shows a great weakness – most people just go through the motions in life.

Do you think Leonardo Da Vinci painted the first known, anatomically correct, depiction of the human brain by accident; when he painted the ceiling of the Sistine chapel?
Or maybe, just maybe, he was more intelligent than those who remain complacent as to their responsibilities gifted by their ability to think for themselves?
Religion is an excuse to divert responsibility onto an imaginary scapegoat, a common trait among half the soyciety.
Grow a pair, People. No one’s coming to save you.

Michaelangelo Buonarroti Simoni painted the Sistine Chapel. He taught himself anatomy and human/world/life relationships and dynamics through dissecting corpses and and challenging authority of all types.

Psa 12:8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

Why didn’t this gentleman simply read Romans 10:9,10 to the people listening? Eternal life is a gift, [Ephesians 2:8,9.] After that we endeavor to walk worthy but you can’t earn your way into heaven. You’re going to mess up from time to time.
Even in our earthly family, you will always be the son of your father. You can’t lose that. We can be disappointing at times as his son but you will always be his son. Same with God, once you become a son of God after being born again, you don’t lose that sonship.

Someone has been smoking way too much self-righteousness. I could only stomach about 10 seconds of it.
Piss off.

Much of what is said is true, but there is deception in what is said as well. Jesus says, “Take heed that no man deceives you”.

The true Church is the body of Christ, which is made up of every believer in Jesus Christ. It is not a man made organization as many “churches” are today. However, God still has faithful children who meet to worship and edify one another by the study of God’s word and by using the spiritual gifts God has given his people. How can we use the gifts of the Spirit to minister one to another if we do not meet? How can we grow in the Lord if we separate ourselves from those God has enabled to help us? How can we help them if we fail to use the Spiritual gifts God has given us?

The true Church is not millions of separate entities, but one body. The Body of Christ. We are to be one in Him. This is what Jesus prayed for in the garden before going to the cross. This is why the word commands us, “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. ” How can we do this if we do not meet? The next verse commands us to meet by saying, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching”. Do we see the day approaching? Then why would we forsake the assembling of ourselves together?

The fact that there are false churches filled with hypocrites does not give us an excuse to refuse to meet with our brethren for worship an to help one another. The first churches established by the apostles met regularly and God commands us to meet.

There are churches that are doing there best to obey and serve the Lord. Most are small. Some are home churches. They are not perfect, but neither are we. Let’s work together as our Lord has enabled us and commanded us to do.

Also, what better way to connect with like minded people in these last days?

C’mon Pastor Guest, with all due respect, locking the joints down for Covid and then advising the congregations to get the jab…..All major denominations are 501c3 bribed, excuse me, tax exempt status. LBJ got the ball going when he started to get concerned with people seeing their kids returning from Vietnam in body bags. He had to be sure the pulpits were with him pushing the war. The Covid response was only a recent breathtaking example.

Not all churches are 501c3. We’re not.

We didn’t shut down for COVID.

Check out a few individual churches before you condemn them all.

I said major denominations. For example, Catholic, Protestant, etc. I’m aware that a great man like Chuck Baldwin is not 501c3. You could tell simply by listening to his sermon.

Not poking fun here! But, I was waiting for “The Rapture” take on what is coming.

Just as I do not trust priests, I do not trust organized religion either.
Why? My eyes are open.

the catching away will only come at Christ return and no sooner to judge the world of there sins. God will raise up the dead first in the graves who are his elect than we which are alive and remain takes us up in the twinkling of an eye and there we will be with Christ for all eternity, Than God will destroy this earth and all of man’s works and the elements will melt with fervent heat and then God Recreates/Renews the earth where righteousness will only dwell and the New Jerusalem which is Gods throne in heaven will descend onto the new earth for we will praise God for evermore. Read the Book of revelation and you will clearly see Gods plans for all his elected people. the wicked ones will stand for judgment on the earth before its destruction and cast into hell fire for all eternity with never ever crossing over the void God has created.

This is absolutely correct. While being far from a scholar, I believe that as Jesus said, the church is in us; we are the church.
