Tillis calls for continued U.S. engagement

Calling himself a “defense hawk,” U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis Monday called for continued international engagement by the United States both militarily and economically.

The freshman Republican defended foreign assistance programs during remarks to The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition in uptown Charlotte. He framed it as part of an effort to preserve America’s international leadership.

“We’re in a period of retreat,” he told about 300 business and political leaders. “We’re in a period where Russia is back to their old ways … The world suffers. The world becomes a less safe place.”

That dovetails with the mission of the Washington-based Coalition, which, according to its Web site, supports “a smart power approach of elevating diplomacy and development alongside defense in order to build a better, safer world.”

This guy is a freaking blooming idiot hanging onto Burrs coat tails. Our military is not engaging ISIS at all, for the record they have pictures of our great military dropping weapons, medical supplies and food directly to isis and abetting them in wiping out the Christians . I pray the Russians and Jews begin bombing the bastards out of existence because the negro sodomite in house of sodomy is on the wrong side and our military is taking bad orders from the whore monger, and all of them must be held accountable for taking bad orders after the sodomite is gone forever.

Just another reason I did not support or vote for this self serving individual. One is left to ponder the blindness of any elected official that calls for more international adventure and spending when his country is over 18 trillion in debt while printing and borrowing roughly 42 cents of every dollar it spends keeping in mind he has yet to suggest any meaningful reduction in any governmental programs.

Burr and Tillis are two sides of the same coin be holding to those that’s bought their way to office.
