This will be long, but bear with me.

First, I don’t believe in coincidence. I believe God is over all things, small and great.

My wife and I begin each day with prayer and Bible study. We do our studies first thing because, if we wait until we have time, we won’t have time. So, first things first.

In my morning Bible study I try to read a chapter a day until I read through the Bible. I then read a Psalm each day, except when I come to Psalm 119, then I divide it into segments into segments because it is so long. Then, as I am led, I study particular subjects in the scriptures.

My wife takes a different approach to her study of the Bible. She has a more structured routine that includes in depth study of our upcoming Sunday School lesson.

Well, this morning I began my through the Bible portion of my study as usual, but was somewhat distracted by thoughts of the events taking place in our country and in the UK. The place in the scriptures I had come to for my daily Bible study was Deuteronomy chapter 31. This is where Moses was encouraging Joshua just before he (Joshua) was about to lead the children of Israel out of the wilderness and into the promised land. I was having a little trouble concentrating on what I was reading because of thoughts about what has been happening and about the things that are about to happen. Then I came to verse 6.

Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake the.”

Well, I was so taken with and encouraged by this verse of scripture that I called out to my wife, who was in another room doing her Bible study, “Let me read you this encouraging verse I just read in Deuteronomy!”. She said, “Is it Deuteronomy 31:6?” I was, as they say, blown away. How, with all the verses that are in the Bible, did she know that I was referring to Deuteronomy 31:6? It turns out that her Sunday school lesson for this Sunday’s lesson has a reference to Deuteronomy chapter 31.

Now if that wasn’t enough, apparently our Lord knew I still needed more encouragement, because when I turned in my Bible to the Psalm I was to read today, it was Psalm 124. Read it for yourself, keeping in mind that waters and streams in the Bible often represent people.

The Lord Jesus is good and faithful to supply our needs, even the needs of our souls.

Who has to pay for their maintenance while they are in jail?
Execute them and be done with it.

Destroy Evil? Then we would all have to die since we’re all inherently evil. God is patient and longsuffering, Not wishing anyone would perish but have eternal life. Do God’s work! HE gave us the Great Commission. Obey HIS orders!
