Trump Failures

From Grok:

Tesla has received an estimated $14.3 billion in government subsidies from 2007 to 2025, including federal loans, grants, tax credits, and state/local incentives. This excludes regulatory credits ($11.4 billion) and consumer EV tax credits, which indirectly benefit Tesla but are not direct subsidies. For comparison, posts on X and web sources cite figures ranging from $2.8 billion to $15.7 billion.

The estimated total federal income tax paid by Elon Musk from 2014 to 2024 is approximately $32.23 billion.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It seems that Trump cannot do simple math. The big, beautiful bill is not good for our country. Is this what people expected from this administration?
The solution is to submit individual bills to address spending, immigration, security and put the federal government back into its Constitutional box. Attacking the world’s richest man is an act of envy, narcissism and stupidity. Trump should acknowledge who his real enemies are and stop attacking people trying to help him and this country.
No company should be subsidized or shown favor by government. Let the laws of economics determine success or failure.
The ONLY REASON for giant omnibus spending bills is to HIDE AS MANY EVIL THINGS AS POSSIBLE.
Totally agree. Politicians say it would take too much time to read each individual bill before voting and they like less impingement on their (vacation) time with these omnibus bills. My opinion is their reasoning is lame. If you have 1 omnibus bill of a thousand pages, or 10 bills of a hundred pages each, what’s the difference in time taken to read before voting? You’re absolutely right for the same reason I wouldn’t buy a 50-pound sack of potatoes in a sack that hides the rotting ones in the center.
A Big FAT Bill? One would think it is common sense to pass individual bills.
Every level of government across the country is smothered in debt.
Every bureaucrat & official in Texas seems to be prosperous., same with you?
Oops! Perhaps, I just let the cat out of the bag.
“GROK” lol.
Federal income tax paid by Elon is not a function of market value creation nor economic utility, but rather the paper values of personal and corporate value extraction as those paper values are converted/transacted into taxable forms.
Taxes ‘paid” is hardly a basis for determining a social-economic utility, particularly when excluding/ignoring the multiple costs and offsets of those subsidies etc. and how they function to create monopolistic and immoral business incentives that destroy organic value creation, market competition, and price discovery/efficiency in the cartel markets in which he has amassed his personal wealth.
Elons income tax paid is more closely related to the speculation and investment, much of it forced into the “market” via institutional and 401k Ponzi than an actual creation of economic value that improves the lives of the citizens. Quite literally, his taxes are the surplus excise the government gains as a result from wealth transfer that is the end goal of such subsidies in the first place.
Something “conservatives” pretend to care about.
Trump v. Elon is some seriously retarded WWE plotline for midwits.
You’ll notice, there was no effort to assess the value of the growth in the EV ownership.
I think it’s theater. I don’t think there is any real feud going on.
“Attacking the world’s richest man is an act of envy, narcissism and stupidity.”
haha, agreed!
but also:
“at every turn Musk just seems to be divorced from reality and lashing out blindly. He has no idea what he’s doing. He is out of his depth. In short, his political inexperience has generated all sorts of problems for himself and others.
It’s embarrassing to have to deal with Musk because it begs the question as to why such an unstable and moronic person, who apparently is a heavy drug user, was allowed into such a high position to begin with.”
(Excerpted from a post Authored by Mystery Grove at Conundrum Cluster, found on ZeroHedge)
and these are our “best & brightest”?
I agree David. This Big Booty Bill is BS. It’s a Sisyphus process. I understand what Trump is doing though. Trump knows that you need money to make money. He’s viewing it as an investment and he knows the investors(Our Congressmen are crooked as hell). It’s like dealing with a crime syndicate to build a massive real estate development. But this is what he has to work with. I can only imagine he’s thinking if I can just get the seed money locked in and the dead weight out of the way there is a chance. It’s a very risky project but what choice does he have? I don’t like it because of the corruption baked in. I wish our politicians would just take a breath, wipe the drool from their mouths and stop adding more dead weight for their own selfish reasons. If this bill is like a high speed rail congress is turning it into an overloaded freighter with poorly designed tracks.
