This definitely stands as Trump’s Jump the Shark moment. Assuming, of course, that one hasn’t already written him off for his failure to end our involvement in Ukraine, his distraction with iran at Israel’s behest, his big beautiful bend over bill that does nothing to reduce or constrain out of control profligacy, or any number of other massive fails thus far in his second term. Honestly, I expected this outcome after watching his first term go in the toilet, even before COVID arrived and sucked all the air out of the room. And here we are.

+ Ghislaine Maxwell a close associate of Jeffrey Epstein for many years. She was accused of helping him recruit, groom, and abuse underage girls. In December 2021, she was convicted in U.S. federal court on multiple charges, including sex trafficking of a minor and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking. In June 2022, she was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
