They have been silencing dissent from the party line for a very long time.
Forgot to say I love Roseanne, she is one of my hero’s.
Roseanne Barr is an interesting case study. When she first started out doing standup comedy in the 80’s, I thought she was pretty funny. Never much cared for her TV show myself (it just didn’t interest me), but clearly it had an audience and was successful for several years. It even got a reboot, but that soured and seems to have been the impetus for her transformation into an anti-woke public figure of some repute.
Then there was her legendarily bad performance of the national anthem before a ball game that drew a lot of derision at the time. I always assumed she was just another liberal entertainment business type, and perhaps back then she was. I didn’t pay so much attention to the political leanings of others back then, as I have the last 15 plus years now.
More recently she appears to have come around to some viewpoints that are rather uncharacteristic for someone of her background. I’m still not sure what to make of her, but will accept an ally in the big fight if I can get one.
