Shawn Ryan “There are 480,000 VA employees and there are 450,000 active duty army veterans all over the country have been dying waiting to get treatment, commit suicide”
“With 480,000, that's 30,000 more than the active army members”

As a Vet, it’s my observation that there is quite a bit of corruption, with regards to the physical infrastructure of the VA. Maintaining the buildings is where the opportunity for fraud is greatest. I wonder if it might be more efficient to let Vets go to the hospital of their choice and do away with the older VA hospitals and the upkeep of the old buildings. What do you guys think?
Somewhat agree (although I don’t believe I’m eligible for any benefits, cold war) I would point out from my experience at fort Lewis- while the BIG FANCY NEW! madigan army hospital was still being built- the operating madigan was a village of ww2 basically barracks with different clinics in each . So my question has always been- is it the big nice EXPENSIVE surroundings that provide care, or the professional people who care? ( this applies to schools as well) Brick and mortar is dead (if one wants to move forward) one can do what’s necessary in a tent or expando semi trailer and get the required results- everything else is just living it up expensively. UTILITARIAN ( the answer)
My opinion
To be fair, there are ~15m military veterans in the USA. The Active Duty soldiers in the Army aren’t Veterans until they are discharged from the Service.
This. The lack of knowledge of about the difference in active duty vs retired/discharge Veterans, and worse, the straight up lies………….amazing.
