I just finished watching the Sitrep. It’s very thought-provoking and I hope he is right. The one thing he did not mention which may or may not have any bearing on this situation is the threat by Maduro to invade Guyana due to their recent discovery of substantial oil reserves off of their coast.
One thing I find disturbing is the way the Five-Sided Wind Tunnel (H/T to Fred Reed) telegraphs its punch by the “pizza spike”. If I was the OIC, I would have chow arrangements already in place inside the building so that Ivan, Hu-Flung-Dung, Achmed, Fat Kim or anyone else would not realize the game’s afoot. The wife in the past used to be an assistant to on one of the former Japanese ambassadors to Cuba… and this guy told her all about how Cuba was the trans-shipment avenue for drugs up from south and central America. This is how Castro and his government make heavy $$ for allowing these drug boats to lay-over, refuel and re-fit in Cuba. Seems like Trump is putting a cork in that pipeline now.
As far as I know, Venezuela has the world’s largest known oil reserves, about 303 billion barrels. The military industrial complex uses around 12 and a half million gallons of gas a day. That means 274, 000 barrels of oil. This isn’t rocket science. The beast must be fed.
Having served on the Saratoga, Caron, Nimitz, Texas, I can assure you that those F-16 fly-bys are typical navy ops! Happens alllll the time and every navy does those types of things to every other navy, if they have the testicular fortitude. At times we saw the whites of their eyes from boat to boat, either underway or they would be at an anchorage spot (you could hit it with a baseball), air to ship (russian fly-bys), and air to air close encounters. I can’t verify the sub stories I heard. Those will make you soil some pants! And yes, I saw the vid, that was nothing!
If they want to really impact the global drug trade they would be better off raiding CIA headquarters in Langley, VA.
